‘He was my Terry': Hulk Hogan's wife Sky Daily pens heartwrenching tribute after wrestling icon's sudden death at 71

Indian Express9 hours ago
Sky Daily, wife of the late wrestling icon Hulk Hogan, shared a heartbreaking message just a day after the WWE legend passed away at the age of 71. Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest at his Florida home on July 24, according to TMZ. Paramedics were called to the scene, but the wrestling world lost one of its most enduring figures.
Daily, a yoga instructor who married Hogan in 2023, took to Instagram on Friday, July 25, to express her grief. In an emotional tribute, she revealed that while Hogan had been 'dealing with some health issues,' she never expected to lose him so soon. 'I had so much faith in his strength,' she wrote, adding that she truly believed they 'still had more time.'
Calling the loss 'sudden and impossible to process,' Daily opened up about the man behind the fame. 'To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was my Terry. The man I loved. My partner. My heart.'
Alongside a photo of the couple, she remembered how Hogan pushed through his physical pain to remain present for his fans. 'He did everything he could to show up, sign autographs, take photos, and connect with the people who supported him through it all. You meant everything to him,' she wrote.

Daily also spoke of Hogan's deep Christian faith, finding comfort in the belief that his soul is now at peace. 'He was a believer in Christ… I take comfort knowing his soul is at peace and he's been welcomed home,' she said.
She ended her post with a heartfelt request for fans to keep the Hogan family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
This was Hogan's third marriage. He was first married to Linda Claridge from 1983 to 2009, with whom he had two children, Brooke and Nick. He later married Jennifer McDaniel in 2010; they eventually separated after more than ten years together.
Netizens reacted to the post in the comments. A fan wrote, 'This is such a perfect photo. God bless the greatest heavyweight champion of all time!' Another user commented, 'Hulk did for WWE what Jordan did for the NBA, he made it a global phenomenon. We are never ready to let our hero's go, but now he gets to hang with the boys in peace and pain free. RIP to the true.'
A third person wrote, 'I can't tell you how happy it made me to see how happy you made him. He always told me that you brought him back to Center kept him straight. I meant the world to him. The way he would talk about your kids, the joy they brought him, the energy and excitement was something that always had a happy pep to his voice.'
