Top Boy actor Micheal Ward charged with rape and sexual assault
The 27-year-old, who has starred in Blue Story and Top Boy, is accused of offences against one woman in January 2023, the Metropolitan Police said.
The force said he is charged with two counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault.
Ward, of Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, will appear at Thames Magistrates' Court on August 28, the Crown Prosecution Service said.

In a statement the Metropolitan Police said: 'A man – aged in his 40s – was found with injuries consistent with a fall. 'He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. 'The stadium was busy and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage. Advertisement 'If you have any information that could help us to confirm what happened, please call 101.' A witness told the Daily Mail: 'It was horrendous. 'The guy fell from a balcony. Harry Potter star Miriam Margolyes has defended her pleas for peace in Gaza after calls she should be stripped of her OBE. The Campaign Against Antisemitism group claims the actress, who is Jewish, should lose a gong she received in 2002 and a Bafta she won in 1993. The group accused her of spreading 'racist bilge' after she compared the Israeli occupation of Gaza to the Nazi Holocaust.
