The 19-year-old's body was found in a ravine in the remote Rural de Teno National Park last July after an agonising 29-day search.
Apprentice bricklayer Jay flew to the Spanish island last June to attend the NRG music festival in Playa de las Americas with two friends, Lucy Law and Brad Hargreaves.
After a night of partying on June 17, the teen travelled to an Airbnb apartment in Masca with two men - including convicted drug dealer Ayub Qassim.
Jay, of Oswaldtwistle, Lancs, phoned up Brad after he left the Airbnb at around 8am and attempted to make the near-impossible walk to his holiday apartment in sweltering heat.
The Brit would also make a heartbreaking final call to Lucy saying he had cut his leg, was lost, dehydrated and had just one per cent battery on his phone.
Neither Lucy, Brad or Qassim attended the first inquest hearing back in May.
Jay's dad Warren told the court they needed those "who can put some light on whatever happened to Jay" to help so the family can finally uncover the truth.

Brit, 16, arrested over 'attempted rape' of fellow UK tourist, 22, in Tenerife
A teenage British tourist was arrested after he allegedly tried to force himself into a 22-year-old Brit's hotel room and rape her in Tenerife's Playa de Las Americas resort A 16-year-old British tourist has been arrested after he allegedly tried to rape another UK holidaymaker in her hotel at a major holiday hotspot. The teenager supposedly attempted to enter the 22-year-old's room - who was staying at a resort next to the man in Tenerife - and tried to force himself on her by the room's door. The 16-year-old, who had flown to the island with his family, was held at the swimming pool of his hotel in the Playa de Las Americas resort. Detectives in Spain said the shock incident happened in "busy daylight hours" on July 31, in the Spanish tourist hotspot. Police said the teen fled the 22-year-old's hotel room after she resisted him and screamed over the alleged attack. They added that CCTV footage was used to track the alleged attacker down at the next-door resort. He has been remanded to a juvenile detention centre following an appearance at a youth court and banned from leaving Spain pending an ongoing investigation. A spokesman for Spain's National Police in Tenerife said today: "Officers have arrested a minor aged 16 as the alleged author of an attempted sex attack on July 31 at a hotel in the municipality of Arona. The quick work of officers led to his rapid location and arrest, preventing the possibility of further attacks. "The incident occurred at the door of one of the rooms of the hotel where the victim, aged 22, was approached by an individual who managed to sneak in behind her. "She resisted, screaming to raise the alarm, and managing to prevent the attacker from closing the door behind him who reacted by fleeing the scene. The attack happened in busy daylight hours in a busy part of the hotel. "CCTV cameras enabled the officers to reconstruct the events of that day and follow the suspect's movements so they could locate and arrest him at the pool of a nearby hotel. He was a guest there and on holiday with his family. "The youngster was handed over to a youth court judge. Given the severity of the allegations against him, he was remanded to a youth detention centre where he will remain in custody, without being afforded the possibility of leaving the island." A well-placed police source said: "Both the teenage boy and the woman are British. She was holidaying alone and he was with his family." He said the incident happened around 3pm on July 31. Another added: "The CCTV images police obtained showed this lad appeared to be on the prowl after entering a hotel he wasn't staying at. He didn't know the older woman. She was a complete stranger." The names of the hotels, which are next-door to each other on Avenida de Las Americas, have not been disclosed.

At Edinburgh Sheriff Court, a judge ruled that an LG phone, supplied to Ms Parks by her employer North Lanarkshire Council, was the source of the fire. More than £140,000 of the award was allocated to her insurance company, which had already paid Ms Parks for a claim. In his judgement, Sheriff Robert Fife said: "At the time the fire started, the LG was in normal use, being charged by a suitable charger, and in circumstances in which a standard product would not have failed." "The court was entitled to draw an inference that the LG was defective. "The LG did not meet the standard of safety that persons generally are entitled to expect." The effects of the fire Ms Parks informed the court that she was treated for smoke inhalation after the fire reports the BBC. She also had a history of panic attacks and anxiety which worsened after the incident. As a result of the fire, she was also off work between 2 November in 2018 and 7 February 2019. She raised an action against LG Electronics UK Ltd at the personal injury court at Edinburgh Sheriff Court seeking damages. He found that there was a defect in the LG phone and that Ms Parks had successfully established liability against the makers. He also found that she had proved she sustained injury because of the fire. The sheriff ruled that Ms Parks was entitled to £149,496 in damages. The majority of the money won has been allocated to an insurance company through a subrogated loss claim. Why does heat damage batteries? Here's what you need to know... Hot temperatures can cause permanent damage to batteries That's because batteries contain fluids, and work through chemical reactions When heat is applied to a battery, the fluid inside starts to evaporate This damages the internal structure of the battery Components like the voltage indicator can be affected by heat This can allow batteries to charge at too high a rate, which can lead to a loss of electrolytes This can reduce battery life over time As batteries heat up, chemical reactions inside will also occur faster Excessive chemical reactions can reduce long-term battery life LG shut down its smartphone division in 2021 In 2021 LG announced that it was shutting down its smartphone division after struggling to compete with other brands. Its first Android phone was released more than 15 years ago - although LG's roots in mobile go back even further. LG once held the crown as the world's third-bestselling mobile brand. But the South Korean tech giant struggled to keep up as new rivals emerged including Oppo and Xiaomi, as well as long-established competitors like Samsung. Despite the closure, the company continued to push out important Android updates to existing users. Bosses committed to do it for three years but that ended in June this year. The company's last phone product was the LG Wing 5G which featured a unique two display design with one that swivels.
