Big Brother host Will Best reveals why it was a mistake proposing to his long-term girlfriend on holiday
He was with his girlfriend over a decade before popping the question – so it's unsurprising that Will Best and his fiancé Tobi Rose are still yet to start planning their wedding over a year on from the proposal. The Big Brother host got down on one knee in Tuscany in July last year. In an exclusive interview with MailOnline Travel, he says: 'It was lovely. It was really nice. 'The only problem is now my fiancé is like, 'oh, let's get married in Tuscany too'. 'But that just sounds expensive.' To stop her badgering him to set a date, Will goes on to confesses he 'told Tobi' about a segment he did on his Hits Radio show, in which many couples who'd been engaged for a long time called in, including one who had been for 32 years. But Will and stylist Tobi have always taken things so slow, he admits. They didn't even go on their first week-long holiday together until 2022, 11 years after they'd started dating. Will explains: 'We'd done a decade without a proper holiday, because we're both freelancers, and every time I booked a holiday, work would come up, or every time something would happen which meant I couldn't do it. 'So we would holiday sporadically and briefly - lots of city breaks, lots of weekends away, which is still great, but your long, fully unplugged holiday, that took us a long time. 'Also, because I travel a lot with work, it kind of always felt like my my travel itch was being scratched all the time, and she travels a lot with work as well, like she goes on shoots abroad for weeks at a time. 'But now, my aim with a holiday is to try and unplug as profoundly as possible.' For Will, the best holiday he and Tobi have been on was to Morocco. He says: 'We stayed in this lovely hotel, which didn't really feel like a hotel – the Jnane Tamsna. 'There's no bar or concierge desk, and if you want a drink, you just WhatsApp this dude and he'll bring you a beer. 'Also, obviously Marrakesh is nothing like London, and I like trying to go to places that feel totally unlike home, so I can get into a destressed environment and mind state as quickly as possible.' While Marrakesh was lovely for Will and Tobi, the same can't be said for their trip to Jamaica. He recalls: 'I'd always wanted to go, and I got loads of amazing recommendations from a friend of mine, who's got Jamaican family and goes out there all the time. 'She gave us all these recommendations, and we were super excited. 'Then we got there, and it rained for the entire week, and me and my partner were both really ill. 'We arrived feeling a bit under the weather, and then spent a week just in our hotel room feeling ill while it rained. It was a long way to go to just stare at the same four walls. 'We watched a lot of Netflix. It was really depressing. We'd force ourselves to get up, we'd go to a restaurant, and then immediately, just be like, 'We can't. We've got to get back to the Netflix.'' This summer, Will, along with his Big Brother co-host AJ Odudu, is planning to go to festivals around the UK – and 'hopefully sneak into an Oasis gig'. And while he does that, he'll be taking full advantage of Holiday Inn Express' Fresh package, while AJ will be getting a Fried box, filled with a Stanley cup, eye gels and hydration tablets. He says: 'The boxes each contain different things based on how you like to either prepare to sleep after a gig or recover, from maybe not enough sleep, the next day. 'When I was looking at the different care packages, I realised that I am very much falling into the Fresh camp, and it's not because I'm old, all right? 'It's because I now do breakfast radio on Hits Radio with Fleur East and James Barr, and I now have to get up stupidly early every single day, even if I have gone to a gig the night before, so my whole life now revolves around my sleep routine, and I need to maintain that even if I'm going out to a gig. 'In the Fresh box, you're getting really good, reusable ear plugs, mouth tape, which helps you get into an REM sleep quickly, lavender aromatherapy and essential oils. 'Then, for breakfast, you've got your fruit, your granolas, your fresh yogurt and I can go straight to the radio and not feel like I'm I'm going to keel over, which is a constant struggle.' Holiday Inn Express' Fresh or Fried campaign is running from 24th July - 24th September 2025, with boxes available at select properties across the UK and Ireland and online at while stocks last. Trouble for fan favourite Love Island couple as villa girl gets flirty with returning bombshell
LOVE Island's Yas Pettet and Jamie Rhodes look like they may be in trouble – as she flirts heavily with returning hunk, Blu Chegini. Blu originally only lasted three days in the villa, but made a shocking return on Wednesday's episode by returning alongside Megan Forte Clarke. 6 6 6 The two quickly whisked Conor Phillips and Angel Swift off on dates, but on tonight's episode it seems that Blu's attention has turned to Yas, and she seems more than happy with the attention. In tonight's episode, Yas – who is currently coupled up with Jamie – engages in flirty banter with Blu when he pulls her for a chat. Soon their talk switches to their shared romantic tension, with Yas telling them: 'I was interested to meet you because I feel like you are a good looking boy and we're kind of similar in a sense. You have this sexual energy and so do I.' 'I like it when you stick it on,' he responds. 'You can stick on me for sure.' He later offers to give Yas a 'little tour' of his mum's sex shop in Marbella – talking through the kinds of toys that are sold there. The chat does not go unnoticed by Jamie, who finds himself trying not to rise to the bait. Shakira comes to his aid, urging him not to read into it… but is he right to be worried? Yasmin seems to have her own troubles emerging as the saga between her, Harry and Helena continues. While Harry appeared to choose Helena by closing things off between them, it seems he still holds a candle for Shakira. Laying her feelings out for him, Shakira tells Harry: 'I still felt very strongly towards you… Watch moment Love Island's Harrison takes savage swipe at villa couple and says there's 'no chance' they will win "I just don't think that I really dealt with the situation how I should have dealt with it and maybe haven't processed things properly, and you and Helena being exclusive may have resurfaced things.' Trying to see if she's ok, Harry later tells her: 'I know it looks like I've moved on very quickly but I don't want you to ever think that it was one sided, you'll probably disagree, but I felt it and like I say I haven't processed it and have tried to just get on with things.' Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2. 6 6 6

‘Scandalous' Pamela Anderson drama she refused to watch is now free to stream
Baywatch legend Pamela Anderson is returning to the big screen in a brand new comedy sequel just as a shocking drama about her life was made free to stream A scandalous drama series about the early career of Baywatch star Pamela Anderson has recently been made free to watch. Despite receiving critical acclaim, it generated intense backlash for its depiction of one of the most controversial showbiz stories of the 1990s and was blasted by Anderson herself, who refused to watch it. As the beloved TV icon joins Liam Neeson in the long-awaited Naked Gun revamp, coming to cinemas next week, now's the perfect time for fans to remind themselves of Anderson's rise to superstardom. As part of a new package deal with Disney+, the eight-part limited series Pam and Tommy is now available to stream completely free on ITVX, along with several other titles from the streamer's catalogue. Chronicling Anderson's chaotic three-year marriage to Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee (played by Sebastian Stan), the drama explores her identity as a sex symbol while her personal life comes under intense scrutiny when their intimate honeymoon video is illegally distributed across the United States. While it received generally positive reviews from critics, particularly for its performances by Stan and Lily James, the star herself told Variety she refused to watch it and claims she deserves 'a public apology' from the team behind the series. 'It was shocking,' Anderson admitted. 'Tommy probably thought it was funny. 'I remember Tommy writing me a note saying, 'Don't let this hurt you like it did the first time,' because he had heard through the kids that I was kind of struggling with the idea of bringing this all up again. 'I don't think he was portrayed kindly. I just know that I refuse to watch it.' Nevertheless, TV fans insist the series is an eye-opening watch despite the controversy. A five-star Google review raved: 'When I first heard they were doing this I was skeptical but I Binged watched it twice!! 'It was Very Thought Provoking actually Quirky, upbeat, funny, emotional, dark and very well paced. All the characters were cast very well.' Someone else defended the decision to tell the story: 'Even though this is not endorsed by PA herself as she feels this just victimizes her again and takes away her ability to tell her story, I really think the producers did a fair job in showing just how unjustly she was treated at the time. 'Although some of the events are not quite in order, timeline wise, it still shows how objectified she was at the time, and thus demoralized and dehumanized - and sadly how many famous women today are still treated this way!!! 'This was a cautionary tale of how some things still haven't changed.' And another said: 'It's a shame Pam Anderson hated the series. If anything I think this series painted her as the only sympathetic character. 'In hindsight of #MeToo and women telling their stories, the fact that she went through any of this is shocking.' Are you ready for a hearty dose of scandal or will you be giving this provocative biopic a miss? Pam and Tommy is free to stream on ITVX.
