Fans speculate the return of Conor McGregor to the Octagon during the International Fight Week
Ahead of the International Fight Week scheduled to start on June 25, 2025, running through June 29, 2025, several fighters have pitched in their names in some way or another for the open cards of the event. With Conor McGregor dropping these clips of him training, fans have started speculating if the post is indicative of him returning to the event.
Despite the speculations, the past few months of the fighter cannot be ignored, which portrayed a different side of him with all the partying clips and constant push towards his political ventures. The fighter, on the social media platform X, was seen posting about the political situation of Ireland and the issues that the country in currently facing. While a majority of his recent life revolved around the politics of Ireland, in one of the recent interviews, the fighter did disclose that he had two more fights left in his
UFC contract
, and the negotiations are still going on. However, nothing has been finalized as of yet. The fighter was last supposed to face
Michael Chandler
at UFC 303 but had to withdraw in the last minute owing to a toe injury.
Chandler waited for a long time before finally moving on with his bout against Charles Oliveira. Chandler is currently on a 3-match losing streak. Fans, after McGregor dropped the training video on Instagram, even predicted that it would be perfect for the Notorious to end his career through a fight with Chandler.

Fans went wild with predictions, while a section of them believed that the fighter is never returning again to the Octagon. One of the fans wrote, 'Would be sick to see Conor fight again but its all good if he never does, man changed sport forever, retired his bloodline, & does whatever he wants'
