Report – Inter Milan Consider Move For Genoa Star Before Deadline Day
This according to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri could aim to sign the Dane after their pursuit of Manu Kone came to nothing.
Inter Milan are already fairly well-stocked in midfield.
However, there are questions about whether the Nerazzurri have the right profiles for new coach Cristian Chivu.
Inter have a number of midfielders who suit the 3-5-2 system well.
However, Chivu has been trying to change the Nerazzurri over to a 3-4-2-1 formation. And there aren't many players who really fit into the double pivot of such s shape.
Inter Consider Move For Genoa Midfielder Morten Frendrup

The logic was clear from Inter when they made an offer for Roma midfielder Manu Kone.
The Frenchman is a natural holding midfielder. He can win and keep possession deep on the pitch.
However, the Nerazzurri have not managed to sign Kone. Roma decided to reject their advances for the 24-year-old.
Therefore, reports the Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter could look elsewhere to bolster their midfield with a similar profile.

Watch: Luka Doncic highlights versus Latvia on Saturday
Luka Doncic took the court for his second friendly leading up to EuroBasket 2025 on Saturday when his native Slovenia took on Latvia. He had missed his team's previous two games, but on Saturday, he put on a show. His onslaught was aborted when he suffered a knee injury that was later diagnosed as a knee contusion that isn't believed to be serious. But before that, Doncic looked like his best self. In the first half of Saturday's contest, he had 26 points and five assists, and as he often does, he put up his numbers with some flair and spark. In all, Doncic shot 7-of-15 overall, 5-of-11 from 3-point range and made all seven of his free throw attempts. But Latvia outscored Slovenia 27-13 in the third quarter and won, 100-88. In Slovenia's first friendly last Friday, Doncic scored 19 points and dished out five dimes. The team's next game will be on Tuesday, Aug. 19 versus Great Britain. It will begin its official EuroBasket schedule on Aug. 28 with a contest against Poland. It remains to be seen how long Doncic will be out due to the knee contusion he suffered on Saturday. However, it sounds like Los Angeles Lakers fans don't need to be too concerned about his availability for training camp and the upcoming 2025-26 NBA season. Luka Doncic suffered an injury scare in Slovenia friendly on Saturday
Luka Doncic sat out Slovenia's last two friendlies in recent days, but on Saturday, he was back on the court as his native country continued to prepare for EuroBasket 2025 by taking on Latvia. It provided Los Angeles Lakers fans to get another glimpse of him and his new and improved physique during midsummer as they wait for the new NBA season to get underway. However, disaster seemed to strike when Doncic collided with a teammate and appeared to injure his knee. To that point, he had posted 26 points and five assists in the first half, and he was forced to leave the game. The good news is that, per Dan Woike of The Athletic, the superstar didn't suffer any serious or significant injury. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, Doncic has a right knee contusion. Some Lakers fans have been concerned that since Doncic is representing his country this summer, he may either suffer an injury or simply take some unnecessary wear and tear into the 2025-26 NBA season. However, injuries can happen at any time, and after all, LeBron James, at age 39, played for Team USA men's basketball last summer without getting hurt while helping to deliver a gold medal. EuroBasket situation involving Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo takes turn for worse
EuroBasket situation involving Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo takes turn for worse originally appeared on The Sporting News EuroBasket serves as a quadrennial occasion during which European basketball is celebrated and the continent's best players compete to determine which country's roster stands supreme. But there is an increasingly likely chance that this summer's edition of the tournament will not feature one of the sport's best players in the world: Greece national team talisman and Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. Nikos Papadogiannis, a Greek basketball insider working for the outlet Gazzetta, reported on Friday that conversations between the Bucks and the Hellenic Basketball Federation on the topic of insurance payments have become increasingly tense in the last few days. "There may be a need for some form of apology or player intervention if things go wrong," Papadogiannis wrote. "Otherwise, we could have a problem. "Many details remain confidential, but it's clear Milwaukee is frustrated with the Greek federation, accusing them of arrogance and amateurism. The Bucks cite missed insurance deadlines and a lack of transparency regarding national team activities, and they claim the federation has taken an aggressive tone in correspondence. They act like they don't realize we hold all the cards, sources say." Papadogiannis went as far as to predict that Antetokounmpo's odds of suiting up for Greece this summer are "a generous and optimistic fifty-fifty or... sixty-forty [in favor of playing]." The aforementioned insurance payments are the reason why the Bucks have not provided written permission for Antetokounmpo to participate in EuroBasket. The hesitancy on their part resides in the fact that FIBA's insurance policies cannot cover the full sum of Antetokounmpo's big-money NBA contract should he get hurt during the tournament; as a result, that written permission is necessary. Nikola Jokić and Luka Dončić are two players who, like Antetokounmpo, have needed approval from the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers, respectively, to compete in the tournament. Their paperwork has been processed already, and both players are playing in exhibition games with their national teams. Antetokounmpo is currently with the Greece national team, but he is not cleared to participate in any team activities until permission to do so has been granted by the Bucks.
