Sarah Ferguson Says the Late Queen Elizabeth Is 'Talking' to Her Through Her Corgis
Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, said Queen Elizabeth is "talking" to her through her corgis
Prince Andrew's ex-wife said the late monarch sends a sign through the corgis she inherited from her
PEOPLE previously confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of York received Queen Elizabeth's corgis Muick and Sandy upon her death in 2022Sarah Ferguson is in sync with Queen Elizabeth through the late monarch's beloved dogs.
On May 14, the Duchess of York, 65, posted a video where she made the revelation in a conversation on stage at Creative Women Platform Forum conference in London. PEOPLE confirmed that the Duchess of York and her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, inherited the Queen's last two surviving corgis upon her death in September 2022 at age 96.
"I have her dogs. I have her corgis, so every morning they come in and go, 'Woof, woof' and all that and I'm sure it's her talking to me," the Duchess said in a clip shared to Instagram, which made the audience laugh.
"The real thing is that I had the greatest honor to be her daughter-in-law. You know, that's really huge," she continued. "When I was driving here, I saw the Elizabeth [train] line… I want everyone to remember what an amazing lady she was."
The Duchess of York, who is popularly known as Fergie, was married to Queen Elizabeth's second son from 1986 to 1996, and the former couple share daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. While the Duke and Duchess of York split years ago, they remain on friendly terms and still live together at their family home, Royal Lodge, in Windsor.
The late Queen was a dog lover throughout her life with a particular affinity for corgis (she owned more than 30 corgis and "dorgi" mixes), and in 2021, the York family gave her what proved to be her last two corgis. Following her death, a source close to Prince Andrew told PEOPLE that the dogs, Muick and Sandy, would go back to live with him and Fergie.
"The corgis will return to live at Royal Lodge with the Duke and Duchess. It was the Duchess who found the puppies, which were gifted to Her Majesty by the Duke," the insider said.
Speaking to PEOPLE in 2023, Fergie spoke about how the corgis send her a sign from the late Queen.
"They are national icons, so every time they run chasing a squirrel, I panic," Fergie told PEOPLE in 2023. "But they're total joys, and I always think that when they bark at nothing, and there's no squirrels in sight, I believe it's because the Queen is passing by."
"They're with me a lot, and they think I'm very funny," she added.
The author and advocate occasionally shares updates on Muick and Sandy with her social media followers, recently shouting out her whole menagerie of pups on International Pet Day in April.
"Happy International Pet Day to my seven sweet doggies!" she captioned an Instagram dedicated to her dogs on April 11. "From their wagging tails and comforting cuddles, to the calming presence and loyal companionship they give every single day, life is simply brighter with these amazing furry friends by my side."
In addition to her royal corgis, the post hinted that the Duchess of York owns Yorkies (a fitting breed for her title!) called Roary, Ginger and Poppy.
The corgis were a comfort to Fergie in 2023 as she recovered from surgery following a breast cancer diagnosis and she wrote about how a therapeutic walk with them brought her solace.
"I took all 7 doggies yesterday to where Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth used to walk them. It was wonderful to have a moment to remember," she captioned a carousel of flower pictures that July.

The Duchess of York navigated two cancer diagnoses within a six-month span between the summer of 2023 and start of 2024. Fergie was diagnosed with breast cancer (and underwent a single mastectomy) in June 2023 and was later diagnosed with malignant melanoma (a form of skin cancer) months later in January 2024.
She has spoken openly about the "dark" time and in May 2024, her daughter Princess Beatrice said her mother was "all clear" following the health scares.

Kourtney Kardashian Shares Throwback Photo of Her Reaction to Tristan Thompson Cheating Scandal with Jordyn Woods
Kourtney Kardashian Barker is taking it back to one of the most talked about moments on Keeping Up with the Kardashians The Poosh founder shared an Instagram carousel featuring a photo of her reaction to the Jordyn Woods and Tristan Thompson cheating scandal in 2019 "I'm literally shaking," Kardashian Barker said on the E! reality show with a straight faceKourtney Kardashian Barker is throwing it back to one of the most shocking moments in Keeping Up with the Kardashians history! The Poosh founder, 46, shared an Instagram carousel on Friday, June 6, that ended with a still image taken from the penultimate season 16 episode of the long-running reality series. In the scene, the mom of four gets her glam done while wearing patches around her eyes and jawline. She was on a three-way call with sisters Khloé Kardashian, Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner. The sisters had just learned Khloé's then-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, had made out with Jenner's best friend, Jordyn Woods, at a party at his house. Khloé shared on the call that Woods claimed she and Thompson 'did make out' and that she 'just can't believe this is happening,' adding 'she was 'confused.' "I'm like ... you're confused?" Khloé added on the call, to which Jenner responded, 'Wow.' Kardashian Barker said at the time, "I'm literally shaking, I'm so furious.' She quipped, "Tristan's gotta go.' Khloé, 40, and Thompson, 34, have had a tumultuous relationship since they were romantically linked in 2016. The Jordyn Woods scandal marked Thompson's second time being unfaithful to the Khloé in Wonderland podcast host. Days before Khloé gave birth to her first child with the then-Cleveland Cavaliers player, Thompson was spotted making out with two random women in April 2018. In December 2021, news broke that Thompson fathered a child with Marlee Nichols – while he was in a relationship with Khloé, following their reconciliation. Khloé and Thompson share two children: daughter True, 7, and son Tatum, 2 ½. In a November 2023 episode of Hulu's The Kardashians, Kardashian Barker told Thompson 'I don't think you deserve Khloé, or the actions that you've done are something she's deserved." "I'm really not here to judge," Kardashian Barker continued. "I don't have any anger, it's just more like I want an understanding of how you could do these things or how it got there.' As for the Kylie Cosmetics CEO's relationship with Woods since the scandal, the two have slowly rekindled their friendship over the years. Last month, the two shared a sweet BFF moment while attending a Knicks vs. Celtics game. Jenner attended the game with her boyfriend Timothée Chalamet and sister Kendall Jenner. "We're wearing the same outfit every time!" Jenner, 27, told Woods, also 27, after they were spotted jumping up and down, holding hands, following the Knicks' win. Woods is currently dating Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns. Read the original article on People

Princess Ines might only be four months old, but she's already getting into the National Day spirit—and in adorable style. Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden's new baby made a surprise appearance with her parents to celebrate Sweden's National Day on Friday, June 6, joining mom and dad to officially open the palace to visitors. And even though she's just an infant, this marks Ines's second official royal appearance. Princess Sofia is on maternity leave at the moment, but she surprised royal watchers by bringing Ines to help open the royal palace in Stockholm Friday. Dressed in a national costume with the colors of the Swedish flag, Sofia held her daughter, who was adorably clad in a matching blue and yellow dress with a white shirt underneath and white tights. In a video shared by Carl Philip and Sofia on Instagram, the couple wrote, "Glad nationaldag🇸🇪 Today we opened the Royal Palace for visitors." They're seen opening the massive wooden doors to the palace with Ines and waving to onlookers before groups of visitors flooded through the gates. The prince and princess also brought Ines into the courtyard to greet people from the Swedish Scouts and the Prinsparets Stiftelse, or the Prince Couple's Foundation, the charitable organization created after their 2015 wedding. Although Sofia and Ines didn't take part in the rest of the National Day festivities, Prince Carl Philip joined the rest of the Swedish royal family, including his parents, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, sister Crown Princess Victoria and brother-in-law, Prince Daniel. Princess Ines—who is eighth in line to the throne—was born on Feb. 7, joining big brothers Prince Alexander, 9, Prince Gabriel, 7, and Prince Julian, 4. She was given the title of Duchess of Västerbotten by her grandfather, the king, at birth. The little princess made her first official appearance at just two months old, joining her family on the palace balcony to celebrate King Carl Gustaf's birthday. Royal fans will have more photos of baby Ines to look forward to soon enough. On Friday, June 13, the princess will be christened on a very special day—Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia's 10th wedding anniversary—at the same church where they got married in 2015.

Nicky Hilton Shares Breastfeeding Photo in Support of New Infant Feeding Campaign
Nicky Hilton wants all new mothers to know that, no matter how they feed their babies, they're supported. The entrepreneur, 41, has teamed up with Nara Organics in support of The 2am Club, a social campaign which aims to share insight into the pressures placed on mothers during their feeding journeys and the urgent need for maternal mental health advocacy. To announce the partnership, Hilton shared a personal photo of herself breastfeeding one of her three children via Instagram on Friday, June 6. 'Each person's feeding journey is unique, and I'm excited to support @Narababy as an investor,' she wrote alongside the photo, in which she looks at the camera as her newborn nurses. 'Their innovative baby formula, launching this spring, is something I'm truly proud to be a part of. Share your feeding confession at Celebrity Moms Share Breast-Feeding Pictures Spearheaded by celebrity moms Hilton, Karla Souza, Jordan Foster and Katie Lee, 'The 2 AM Club invites all parents to share raw, unfiltered 'feeding confessions' through voice notes, short written stories, and photos, offering an honest look at what feeding really feels like,' a press release shared with Us Weekly read. 'The goal is to normalize the hard, the beautiful, and everything in between, especially during those isolating, sleep-deprived hours when self-doubt creeps in.' Hilton shares daughters Teddy, 7, and Lily-Grace, 8, and son Chasen, 2, with her husband, James Rothschild. In her post, she shared that she breastfed all three of her children, but not without challenges. 'While I enjoyed the moments of bonding, the latching was often painful,' she shared via Instagram. 'I didn't find breastfeeding as effortlessly as I'd hoped. Plus there was so much pressure to keep going because it's what society tells us we should do. The expectations placed on mothers can be overwhelming. We're just trying our best, and feeding our children — whether through breastfeeding or bottle-feeding shouldn't come with guilt or judgment. You have to listen to your body and do what feels right.' Other moms shared their photos and stories as well, with Souza, 39, tandem nursing two of her three babies in a photo shared by The 2am Club and Lee, 43, noting that 'breastfeeding worked really well' for her and daughter Iris, now 4. Foster, 39, also posted a photo from her feeding journey via Instagram Stories on Friday and wrote, 'I'm grateful to have this community for round 3. As hard as newborn things are, it's the feeding I'm most nervous for every time.' Kathy Hilton Defends Paris Hilton Against Mom-Shamers: I 'Totally Understood' the Diaper Dilemma Jordan, the style director of Favorite Daughter and sister of Erin and Sara Foster, added that she's most jealous of 'those that breastfeed without difficulty.' 'With my third baby, I plan to introduce formula much earlier and feel relieved that I will do so without any guilt,' Jordan, who's expecting her third child, shared.
