Terrifying mobile phone footage has shown the moment a completely naked man appears to attack a driver and attempt to get inside a car with a family inside.
The incident, which occurred in Middleton near Manchester on Sunday (June 29), saw a crazed man 'running over the roundabout' and 'going for any car or person near him', witnesses claimed.
Police were called to reports of a man, in the nude, who had been approaching vehicles at random on Manchester Old Road, close to the Middleton Archer pub, during the afternoon rampage, reports The Manchester Evening News.
During the incident, witnesses claimed the nude man was 'attacking a guy' from a car with children inside.
"It was awful. I was two cars behind when he was attacking the guy in car," one post read on social media. "My girls were also in car, think they're traumatised bless them."
New footage posted online and shared with the Manchester Evening News shows the moment the suspect appeared to become involved in an altercation with a driver outside an Aldi supermarket.
Shouts of 'get the kids out the car' could be heard as brave onlookers rushed in to help.
The naked man attempts to climb inside the driver's side of the vehicle before he is dragged out and forced to the ground.
The clip was shared on Instagram and has since been viewed more than 30,000 times. Greater Manchester Police confirmed a man was arrested.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Officers arrested a man in Middleton town centre on suspicion of assault and criminal damage. He remains in police custody."

A statement from South Australia Police on Tuesday said Mr Story's body was dismembered and his head, which was removed during the dismemberment, has yet to be located 'despite extensive searches.' Searches in and around Port Lincoln included reserves, parks, bushland and the ocean around the pier, with police confirming the search has been 'paused for now but may resume at a later stage.' Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke said they were releasing details of the 'horrific crime' due to the vitality for Mr Story's family to 'peacefully lay him to rest.' He added: 'We know that Tamika did not drive a vehicle and regularly walked around the township of Port Lincoln. A human leg found on a beach in South Ayrshire two weeks ago is believed to be connected to a corpse discovered on coast of Ireland in May. The grim discovery was made at Prestwick beach on June 10 and set Police Scotland on a investigative path. They've now confirmed that the remains belong to "a missing person from outside of Scotland". Over with the Police Service of Northern Ireland, it's been stated that the body located in Millisle, County Down, has been identified. Glasgow Live has linked the Prestwick beach find to the remains found in Co. Down. According to a spokesperson for Police Scotland: "Around 10.45am on Tuesday June 10, we received a report that human remains had been discovered on Prestwick beach in Ayrshire. The remains have now been identified as those of a missing person from outside of Scotland," reports Belfast Live. "The relevant police service has been informed." Two arrested after multi-agency cocaine seizure in Cork

Two men have been arrested as part of a massive multi-agency operation currently ongoing in Cork. On Tuesday morning Gardaí from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau stopped a van in the Courtmacsherry area of County Cork and a large quantity of suspected cocaine was recovered. Gardaí said that the exact quantity and value are yet to be determined. Two males, aged in their 30s and 40s, have been arrested and are currently detained in a Garda Station in Co. Cork under section 50 Criminal Justice Act 2007. The operation is supported by the Joint Task Force partners, Revenue's Customs Service, the Irish Naval Service, and local Gardaí and the Irish Air Corps. A Garda spokesperson said that as this is an ongoing operation 'no further details are available at this time'. A spokesperson for Revenue told the Irish Mirror: 'A Joint Task Force Drugs Interdiction operation is ongoing at this time in Co. Cork.
