GNG Electronics IPO Day 1: Check GMP, issue details, key dates. Apply or not?

GNG Electronics, which specialises in refurbishing laptops and desktops, will begin its subscription today (Wednesday, July 23) and will close on Friday, July 25. GNG Electronics IPO price band has been established at ₹ 225 to 237 per share.
With the upper limit of the price range, the company's market capitalisation exceeds ₹ 2,700 crore.
Before the public subscription of its IPO, GNG Electronics secured ₹ 138 crore from anchor investors. Among those allotted shares in the anchor round are Goldman Sachs Fund, Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund, Buoyant Opportunities Strategy, Edelweiss Mutual Fund, and Mirae Asset Mutual Fund, as detailed in a circular posted on BSE's website.
According to the circular, GNG Electronics allocated 58,28,290 equity shares to 14 separate funds at ₹ 237 each. This brings the overall transaction amount to ₹ 138.13 crore.
GNG Electronics is among the top refurbishers of laptops and desktops and has a strong presence in India, the US, Europe, Africa, and the UAE.
The company operates under the "Electronics Bazaar" brand and covers the entire refurbishment value chain, from sourcing and refurbishment to sales and after-sale services, including warranty provisions.
Subscription for the public issue will open at 10:00 IST during Wednesday's deals.
As per Canara Bank Securities, the company is positioned to benefit from favorable industry trends and an increasing global footprint as the demand transitions from unorganised to organised players. The IPO is set at a P/E ratio of 33.43x and a P/BV of 10.17x based on FY25 earnings, which seems reasonable given its growth potential, leadership in the sector, and asset-light business model. The brokerage has given a SUBSCRIBE recommendation to well-informed investors with a medium to long-term investment outlook.
SBI Securities noted that industry predictions show promising growth for the Global Refurbished PC Market and the Indian Refurbished PC Market, with a projected expansion at a CAGR of 18.9% and 31.3% respectively during the period from CY24 to CY29E and FY25 to FY30E. Moreover, the company plans to repay ₹ 320 crore in debt during FY26, which will help reduce interest expenses and enhance profitability. Additionally, the firm lacks any comparable listed industry peers in India. The brokerage has advised investors to SUBSCRIBE to the IPO at the cut-off price.
GNG Electronics IPO includes a fresh equity share issue totaling 400 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 25.5 lakh equity shares from promoters, valued at ₹ 60.43 crore at the highest price point. This brings the overall issue size to ₹ 460.43 crore.
The funds raised from the fresh issue will be used for paying off debt, covering working capital needs, and general corporate purposes.
The book-running lead managers for the GNG Electronics IPO are Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors, IIFL Capital Services, and JM Financial, while Bigshare Services Pvt Ltd serves as the registrar for this issue.
GNG Electronics IPO grey market premium is +103. This indicates GNG Electronics share price was trading at a premium of ₹ 103 in the grey market, according to investorgain.com.
Considering the upper end of the IPO price band and the current premium in the grey market, the estimated listing price of GNG Electronics share price was indicated at ₹ 340 apiece, which is 43.46% higher than the IPO price of ₹ 237.
In the past five sessions, grey market activities have shown an upward trend, and today's IPO GMP indicates a promising listing. The minimum GMP recorded is ₹ 71.00, while the maximum GMP reaches ₹ 103, as per experts from investorgain.com.

Several companies have evinced interest to invest ₹17,000 crore across various industries in Vijayapura district, said MB Patil, Minister for Large and Medium Industries on Monday (August 4, 2025) in Bengaluru. Mr. Patil said many companies have come forward to invest in the district across various projects including cold aerated beverages, food grain processing, wind generator blade manufacturing, CVC/PVC pipe production, solar wafer manufacturing, paints and chemicals, and renewable energy. Among these, a ₹1,622 crore cold beverages and bottling project by Campa Cola of the Reliance Group has been been approved, said the minister who is in-charge of Vijayapura District. Campa Cola, a local cola firm acquired by Reliance, has plans to create 1,200 direct jobs in the district.'To facilitate this, the company will be allotted 100 acres of land at Mulawada Industrial Area Phase 2 in Vijayapura district,' he added. According to Mr. Patil, Wings Vitera, known for its food grain processing operations including tur dal, has proposed to invest ₹350 crore. Suzlon, a pioneer in the manufacture of large blades for the wind power sector, plans to invest ₹360 crore in the district. In addition, Melstar, keeping in view the upcoming operationalisation of the Vijayapura airport, is keen to set up an aircraft flying training school. Another company has also expressed interest in establishing a similar training institute, which will also be permitted, he informed. Poddar, a manufacturer of CVC/PVC pipes, is already planning to set up its unit in the district. 'All these proposals will be positively considered, and MoUs were signed with one or two of these companies during the 'Invest Karnataka–25' Global Investors Meet,' he said. Speaking about proposals from the renewable energy sector, Mr. Patil stated that ReNew Power, Rsolec and Hexa Climate have proposed investments of ₹4,700 crore, ₹4,000 crore and ₹8,000 crore respectively. 'If realised, these projects could bring investments worth around ₹16,700 crore to the district,' he said adding, Grasim, operating in the paints and chemicals sector, has also expressed interest in investing. Some 30 companies from the FMCG sector, 25 from the solar sector, and 15 from the textile sector have shown interest in investing in Vijayapura. Additionally, over 20 companies are keen to invest in sugarcane-based ethanol production, chocolate manufacturing, and cold aerated beverage units. In addition, other approved proposals include ₹490 crore by Zenfold Biosciences, ₹174.99 crore by Astral Coatings, and ₹499 crore by Wipro Hydraulics. These projects, together valued at around ₹1,163 crore, have received approval, Mr. Patil stated. Also, Zenfold Biosciences plans to establish a production unit for enzymes used in the pharmaceutical sector. For this, the company has been allotted 60 acres in the Badanaguppe–Kellamballi Industrial Area in Chamarajanagar, and the project is expected to generate 226 jobs. Astral Coatings, engaged in the manufacture of paints and adhesives, will set up its unit on 20 acres allotted in Vemagal, Kolar district, creating 300 jobs. Wipro Hydraulics will establish a copper lamination production facility at Adinarayana Hosahalli near Devanahalli on 19 acres of allotted land, expected to provide 365 jobs, according to the Minister.

Mutual fund industry AUM grew sevenfold in 10 years: Study

The asset under management (AUM) of India's mutual fund (MF) industry as of June 2025 was estimated at ₹74.40 lakh crore, marking a more than seven-fold growth in 10 years, Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund said in a report. The report said equity commanded the largest share at 59.94%, followed by debt at 26.53%, hybrid at 8.28%, and other categories accounting for 5.26%. A steady rise was witnessed in passive investing, which now accounts for about 17% of the total AUM, it added. 'While active funds continue to dominate in absolute terms, the increasing share of passive strategies reflects broader adoption of low-cost, transparent, and benchmark-aligned approaches. In the quarter ended June 2025, total estimated net inflows stood at ₹3,98,000 crore,' Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund said. 'This was largely led by the debt segment, which drew ₹2,39,000 crore, reversing the previous quarter's outflows. Equities contributed ₹1,33,000 crore, while commodities added ₹9,000 crore. Active strategies accounted for ₹3,62,000 crore of total inflows, with passive funds contributing ₹36,000 crore,' it added. Pratik Oswal, Head - Passive Business, Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company Ltd., said,'This quarter reflects a notable shift in portfolio allocation —a growing tilt toward well-diversified, resilient portfolios, complemented by a measured return to debt.' 'What's particularly encouraging is the increasing traction seen in passive investing. Indian investors are gradually recognising the structural benefits of passive funds—simplicity, cost efficiency, and alignment with market benchmarks.' he added. As per the report within equities, broad-based funds emerged as the dominant category, garnering ₹86,000 crore in net inflows. This category captured 64% of total equity flows—55% from active funds and a notable 106% from passives—indicating increased allocation to passive equity strategies.
