Deion Sanders is known for his swag and celebrity status, and he has brought that to his Colorado coaching staff in the best possible way.
With three NFL Hall of Famers, Marshall Faulk, Warren Sapp, and Coach Prime himself, already on the staff, any more stars would be just gravy as Coach Prime puts together one of the most star-studded coaching staffs in the country.
Yesterday, it was reported that Super Bowl-winning offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich was joining the ranks in an unspecified role. Colorado fans reacted positively to this news, but the hire also caught the eye of one of Leftwich's former players, two-time NFL All-Pro running back LeSean McCoy.
McCoy posted to his X account that he approves of Colorado hiring his former offensive coordinator.
The two-time Super Bowl champion played under Leftwich during his final year in the NFL when he played ten games with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. McCoy did not play much during the Bucs Super Bowl-winning season, but clearly, Leftwich left an imprint on one of the best running backs of his generation.
McCoy has been a vocal proponent of college and NFL teams hiring more former players because they have been through the ringer before. He previously posted on social media that he thought Warren Sapp's joining Colorado was the perfect example of what needs to continue to happen.
Deion Sanders has been leading the charge in hiring former players, with Domata Peko and Andre Gurode also joining his staff this offseason.

Chargers returning to San Diego for pair of training camp practices
The Los Angeles Chargers will be back in San Diego for two training camp practices this summer, the team announced Thursday. The Chargers will hold the pair of practices at Torero Stadium on the University of San Diego's campus on July 22-23. Before moving to Los Angeles in 2017, the Chargers spent 56 years in San Diego, beginning in the AFL in 1961. This tenure included an AFL championship in 1963, a Super Bowl appearance in the 1994-95 season and 11 playoff wins. The team played in Los Angeles for its inaugural season in 1960. Steelers' Super Bowl odds improve with Aaron Rodgers coming
The Pittsburgh Steelers' futures were adjusted by many sportsbooks with Thursday's news that quarterback Aaron Rodgers has agreed to a one-year contract. While speculation has been rampant throughout the offseason that the four-time league MVP would ultimately play a 21st NFL season with the Steelers, there was still a chance Rodgers would sign elsewhere or retire. Circa Sports told Field Level Media that Pittsburgh's Super Bowl odds at the book shortened from +600 to +500 following Thursday's news, while the Steelers' odds of winning the AFC shifted from +2600 to +1800. At DraftKings, the Steelers are now being offered at +4000 to win the Super Bowl, +2000 to win the AFC and +550 to win the AFC North. Their over/under win total is 8.5 games Rodgers, 41, reportedly plans to fly to Pittsburgh to sign the contract and intends to participate in the Steelers' mandatory minicamp next week. The Steelers were the NFL team in greatest need of a quarterback and open the 2025 season against Rodgers' former team at the New York Jets on Sept. 7. Rodgers will likely start opposite Pittsburgh's Week 1 starter last season, Justin Fields, who joined the Jets in free agency. Before Rodgers' long-expected agreement, Mason Rudolph was the presumed starter for the Steelers. Rudolph returned to the Steelers after one season with the Tennessee Titans. Pittsburgh moved on from Russell Wilson, who replaced Fields seven games into the 2024 regular season, who is also projected to start in New York as a member of the Giants. Rodgers comes to Pittsburgh after two disappointing seasons with the Jets.
