Victoria Beckham Says That Princess Nails Are Here To Stay

Vogue2 days ago
Pared-down manicures have had a moment this year. From glossy rosewater nails to short and shimmery cat eye talons and dainty little gems—less is certainly more.
Victoria Beckham clearly agrees. While soaking up the last few weeks of summer, the former Spice Girl shared snaps of sun-fuelled family fun, alongside one of her 15 engagement rings and a chic-and-simple princess manicure.

Inspired by the manicures of real-life royals like Catherine, Princess of Wales's famed soft nude set and Meghan Markle's 'Monticeto Manicure,' it's a natural, squoval shape that defines princess nails and is typically quite short.
Timeless, pale pink princess nail shades have enduring appeal. 'They don't have to shout to make an impact,' celebrity manicurist Michelle Class previously told Vogue. 'Plus, they go with everything… a power suit, vintage denim, a wedding dress.' Clashing fashion colors? Not possible with princess nails.
Known to exude the 'quiet luxury' vibe that Beckham favors, princess nails are intentionally sheer—a step up from the naked manicure that dominated our mood boards earlier this year. Satiny blush pinks, subtle chrome, and thin coats of shimmer can all be used to elevate the look.

Prince William confides in this unexpected family member when he needs advice

Prince William reportedly confides in this unexpected family member when he's in need of advice. Royal biographer Katie Nicholl revealed in the podcast Dynasty that the Princess of Wales' father Michael Middleton is someone that William will often turn to in stressful situations, explaining 'I know they have a close relationship, and that William will often turn to Michael for advice.' According to Nicholl, Michael has 'a cool head in a crisis … [and] has a great sense of humour.' In her book William and Harry, Nicholl wrote that 'Michael is a man of fewer words, but you can tell he adores his family. He always sits at the head of the table, and you can see his delight as he listens to his children chat about their recent adventures.' Although it's claimed that William will often refer to his father-in-law as Mike, he has also been known to call him Dad. Town centre disruption and diversions as £5.7m ‘Instagrammable bridge' installed

There will be major diversions and disruptions for pedestrians in a Pembrokeshire town centre this week as the county's controversial £5.7million 'Instagrammable bridge' is installed. The bridge is part of the £25.4 million Heart of Pembrokeshire project to revitalise Haverfordwest and will span the water between the Riverside and Western Quay. Sections of the striking footbridge were delivered from the fabricator's workshop to County Hall in May this year when sections were assembled in situ, with a 220-ton crane also on site. (Image: Atkins Ltd) The bridge with its distinctive honeycomb design has been described as 'signature' and, subsequently, 'Instagrammable'. The bridge has come under considerable scrutiny by councillors with concerns about the bridge and potential costs being raised more than once in chamber. (Image: Peter Thomas) In April the council's Welsh Conservative group and the Independent Group both called for the decision to award the bridge contract to be scrutinised further. (Image: P Biebrach) Conservative group leader Councillor Di Clements, asked said that 'given its sizeable cost estimation and the high public interest in the matter, the Welsh Conservative group believe that this decision deserves full and proper scrutiny at committee level.' The bridge will replace the current arched red and black footbridge leading from the Riverside to the Western Quay. (Image: Google maps) That footbridge in now closed an diversions are in place while preparation work takes place. (Image: Pembrokeshire County Council) The new bridge is due to be installed this weekend, Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17. During the weekend a larger section of footpath will be closed, and diversions will remain in place. There will be an exclusion zone to allow for installation works.
