During the visit, Mr. Lalit Bohra held a high-level meeting with Executive Director of NTPC Simhadri, Sameer Sharma. The discussions focused on improving infrastructure and maintenance activities, increasing rake availability, and reducing operational constraints to optimise operations.
The DRM also conducted safety inspection at the Level Crossing (LC) gate in Jaggayyapalem, near NTPC. He reviewed safety procedures, inspected various records and interacted with the gateman to assess his knowledge and preparedness of various safety practices.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan commences at Waltair Division
The Waltair Railway Division will be observing 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' from August 1-15, 2025. Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Lalit Bohra led a Prabhat Pheri with the participation of officers, staff, Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel, and Swachh Sewaks at the railway station here on Friday (August 1, 2025). Mr. Lalit Bohra emphasised that the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan aims to eliminate single-use plastic, ensure effective waste disposal, and create public awareness and participation towards a cleaner environment. The DRM administered the Swachhta Pledge to officers, staff, and the public, who pledged to uphold cleanliness and participate in these activities under the Swachh Bharat Mission. ADRM (Operations) Manoj Kumar Sahoo, ADRM (Infrastructure) E. Santharam, Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer and Head of Environment-cum-Housekeeping Management Praveen Bhati, and other branch officers participated. Swachhta Pledge was also taken at Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Rayagada, Koraput, Jagdalpur, Kirandul, Araku, Simhachalam, Duvvada, Electric Loco Shed, Diesel Loco Shed, Coach Care Centre, and other units across the division. The Environment-cum-Housekeeping Management wing will conduct intensive cleanliness drives throughout the division during this period.

SWR's Mysuru Division DRM inspects Hassan-Bantwal railway section
Mudit Mittal, Divisional Railway Manager, Mysuru Division, South Western Railway, conducted a comprehensive window trailing inspection on Thursday covering the Hassan–Sakaleshpur, Sakaleshpur–Subrahmanya road, and Subrahmanya road–Bantwala sections. The inspection aimed at reviewing the safety and maintenance standards of track infrastructure, signalling systems, and operational preparedness along the route. Special emphasis was laid on the condition of track parameters, bridges, curves, and gradient sections in the ghat region between Sakaleshpur and Subrahmanya Road. The DRM also reviewed the progress of ongoing station redevelopment works at Sakaleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, and Bantwala stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS). These redevelopment efforts focus on enhancing passenger amenities, station aesthetics, and overall travel experience. Mr. Mittal interacted with on-site engineering teams and instructed officials to ensure adherence to project timelines and maintain high standards of quality and safety during the execution. He was accompanied by Anand Bharti, chief project manager, Gati Shakti Unit, and other senior officials from the division, a release from the division said.
