A few lines cancelled, diverted in KK Line

Visakhapatnam: Due to the derailment of an iron ore-laden goods train between Tyada and Chimidipalli in the Koraput–Kottavalasa section of the KK line, train services have been affected with few derailed wagons in a tunnel. Responding to the incident, railway authorities from the Waltair Division and East Coast Railway deployed personnel and resources to the site for relief and restoration operations on a war footing. The relief operation was carried out under the supervision of the Divisional Railway Manager, Waltair Lalit Bohra and other senior officials. As a result, some of the train services were diverted. Kirandul – Visakhapatnam Night Express (18516) leaving Kirandul on May 28 operated in a diverted route via Koraput, Rayagada, Vizianagaram. Visakhapatnam – Kirandul Passenger (58501) leaving from Visakhapatnam on May 29 will be cancelled. In return, Kirandul - Visakhapatnam passenger (58502) leaving from Kirandul on May 29 will be cancelled. Also, Visakhapatnam – Kirandul Express (18515) leaving from Visakhapatnam on May 28 was cancelled. In order to clear the extra rush of passengers, Indian Railways decided to augment some of the trains with additional coaches. As part of it, Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Express (20837) will be augmented with a sleeper class coach from June 1 to 30 (on nominated days). In return, Junagarh-Bhubaneswar Express (20838) will be attached with a sleeper class coach from June 2 to July 1 (on nominated days). Puri-Yesvantpur Garibrath Express (22883) will be augmented with a third AC economy coach from June 6 to 27 (on nominated days). In return, Yesvantpur-Puri Garibrath Express (22884) will be augmented with one third AC economy coach from June 7 to 28 (on nominated days). Sambalpur-Nanded Super-Fast Express (20809) will be augmented with one third AC and sleeper class coaches from June 2 to 30 (on nominated days). In return, Nanded- Sambalpur Super-Fast Express (20810) will be augmented with a third AC and sleeper class coaches from June 3 to July 1 (on nominated days). Sambalpur-Erode Special Express (08311) will be augmented with a third AC and sleeper class coaches from June 4 to 25 (on nominated days). In return, Erode- Sambalpur Special Express (08312) will be augmented with a third AC and sleeper class coaches from June 6 to 27 (on nominated days). Visakhapatnam-Gunupur Passenger Express (58506) will be augmented with a sleeper class coach from June 1 to 30 (on nominated days). In return, Gunupur-Visakhapatnam Passenger Express (58505) will be augmented with a sleeper class coach from June 1 to 30 (on nominated days). Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Passenger Express (58501) will be augmented with a sleeper class coach from June 1 to 30 (on nominated days). In return, Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Passenger Express (58502) will be augmented with a sleeper class coach from June 2 to July 1 (on nominated days). Visakhapatnam-SMV Bengaluru Special Express (08581) will be augmented with a third AC-economy coach from June 1 to 29 (on nominated days). In return, SMV Bengaluru-Visakhapatnam Special Express (08582) will be augmented with a third AC economy coach from June 2 to 30 (on nominated days). Visakhapatnam–Tirupati Special Express (08547) will be augmented with a third AC economy coach from June 4 to 25 (on nominated days). In return, Tirupati-Visakhapatnam Special Express (08548) will be augmented with a third AC economy coach from June 5 to – Charlapalli Special Express (08579) will be augmented with a third AC economy coach from June 6 to 27 (on nominated days). In return, Charlapalli - Visakhapatnam Special Express (08580) will be augmented with a third AC economy coach from June 7 to 28 (on nominated days).

Special trains between Visakhapatnam and SMV Bengaluru, and between Visakhapatnam – Shalimar have been extended to clear the summer rush. Train no. 08581Visakhapatnam – SMV Bengaluru special express train will leave Visakhapatnam at 3.20 p.m. on Sundays (5 trips) from June 1 to 29 and will reach Duvvada at 4 p.m. and will leave at 4.02 p.m. to reach SMV Bengaluru on the next day at 12.45 p.m. In the return direction, 08582 SMV Bengaluru – Visakhapatnam Special Express train will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 3.50 p.m. on Mondays (5 trips) from June 2 to 30 and will reach Duvvada on the next day at 12.40 p.m. and depart at 12.42 p.m. to reach Visakhapatnam at 1.30 p.m., according to K. Saandeep, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Waltair Division. This train will also stop at Anakapalli, Yelamanchili, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Renigunta, Katapadi, Jolarpetai, Kuppam, Bangarpet and Krishnarajapuram It will have 2nd AC – 2, 3rd AC - 3, 3rd AC Economy – 2, Sleeper class coaches-8, General Second Class- 4, Second class cum luggage/ Divyangjan -1, Luggage /generator/brake van-1 in its composition. Similarly, train no. 08508 Visakhapatnam– Shalimar Special train Express will leave Visakhapatnam at 11.20 a.m. on Tuesdays from June 3 to 24. It will reach Simhachalam at 11.36 a.m. and leave at 11.38 a.m.; Vizianagaram at 12.08 p.m. and departure at 12.10 p.m.; Chipurupalli at 12.35 p.m. and departure at 12.37 p.m.; Srikakulam Road at 1.08 p.m. and departure at 1.10 p.m. and will reach Shalimar on the next day at 3 a.m.(4 trips). In the return direction, 08507 Shalimar - Visakhapatnam Special Express will leave Shalimar at 5 a.m. on Wednesdays from June 4 to 25 and will reach Srikakulam Road at 6.10 p.m. and departure at 6. 12 p.m.; Chipurupalli at 6.38 p.m. and departure at 6.40 p.m.; Vizianagaram at 7.03 p.m. and departure at 7.05 p.m.; Simhachalam at 7.35 p.m. and departure at 7. p.m. to arrive in Visakhapatnam Junction at 8. 50 p.m. (4 trips). This special train will have 2nd AC-1, 3AC - 3, Sleeper- 9, General Second Class -4, Second Class cum Luggage/ Divyangjan coaches- 1 and Motor Car-1.

Servotech Renewable gains on securing 4.1 MW rooftop solar order from East Coast Railway

Servotech Renewable Power System added 1.17% to Rs 130.82 after the company secured a 4.1 megawatt (MW) on-grid rooftop solar order from the Waltair Division of East Coast Railway in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Under the scope of this contract, Servotech will undertake the design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of rooftop on-grid solar photovoltaic (PV) plants of varying capacities across multiple sites within the Waltair Division. This initiative is part of Indian Railways broader mission to integrate renewable energy into its infrastructure and reduce its carbon footprint, reinforcing its position as a leader in sustainable transportation. New Delhi: Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd. (formerly known as Servotech Power Systems Ltd.), a leading provider of solar energy solutions, has secured a prestigious order for a 4.1 MW on-grid rooftop solar project from the Waltair Division, East Coast Railway, situated in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The project is valued at ₹15.8 crore. Under the scope of this contract, Servotech will undertake the design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of rooftop ongrid Solar Photovoltaic (PV) plants of varying capacities across multiple sites within the waltair division. Under the pact, Servotech said it will manufacture power modules in India to achieve the 'Make in India' mission, while Watt & Well will provide technical support. Servotech will have the exclusive right to market and sell these components in India.
