Abhilasham's plot overview
The story revolves around Abhilash, a man who has harboured feelings for his childhood friend Sherin for years but has never expressed them. After Sherin returns to town as a widow with a daughter, Abhilash's unspoken love resurfaces. His best friend, a lawyer named Ajesh, devises a plan to bring them closer by involving them in a legal complication over a shipment of attar bottles, leading to humorous and heartfelt situations.

A part of The Lensmen's review of the film read, 'Abhilasham was a concept where if they had reduced the melodrama and used the climax to build a 20-minute short film, the feel factor would have worked wonderfully. The kind of breathing space the film gets when Binu Pappu and Tanvi Ram have a conversation at the end should have been the movie's tone. But unfortunately, that happens only at the very end after dragging a slim plot for almost two hours.'

Rape case: Kerala HC allows complainant to implead in rapper Vedan's pre-arrest bail plea
Kochi: High court on Monday allowed the de facto complainant, a young doctor, to be impleaded as a respondent in the pre-arrest bail petition of Malayalam rapper and lyricist Hiran Das Murali, popularly known as 'Vedan', in a rape case based on her complaint alleging sexual exploitation under the false promise of marriage. The bench of Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas further adjourned the petition to Tuesday to provide additional time to the complainant for submitting further documents and for obtaining instructions from the state. According to the prosecution, Vedan allegedly sexually exploited the complainant between August 2021 and March 2023 at various locations in Kochi and Kozhikode by making false promises of marriage. From March 2023 onwards, he reportedly began distancing himself from her, which prompted her to file a complaint with the Thrikkakara police. On Monday, the complainant made serious allegations against the petitioner, stating that he is a habitual offender and that two more cases have been registered on the complaints of two women alleging similar offences. At this stage, HC orally observed that each case will have to be considered on its merits. He further claimed that a woman circulating such messages had threatened that a group had been formed to orchestrate multiple complaints from different individuals to tarnish his reputation. Vedan, while admitting that he was in a relationship with the complainant, also cited the Supreme Court's observation that a promise to marry, followed by a breakdown of the relationship, does not by itself amount to rape merely because the complainant later alleges sexual abuse. Kangana Ranaut hails from a small town in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. She is the second child in her family, with her elder sister Rangoli and their younger brother. However, in a recent interview, the actress revealed that before Rangoli, her parents had a son named Hero, who tragically passed away just 10 days after birth. The family believed it was due to the negligence of the hospital authorities, and after that incident, women in her family were barred from delivering in hospitals. In a conversation with Hauterrfly, Kangana shared, 'My mother's firstborn was a baby boy who didn't survive. He passed away just 10 days after his birth. My father had named him Hero, so losing him was an extremely painful experience for them. He was born in a hospital, weighed 3.5 kilos, and had no medical complications. My mother believes it was the carelessness of the hospital staff that killed her son, as they cut his umbilical cord incorrectly.
