Abhilasham OTT Release Date: When and where to watch Saiju Kurup & Thanvi Ram's Malayalam romantic film online
Abhilasham OTT Release Date: Saiju Kurup recently headlined this Malayalam film, which is now ready to make its digital debut. Released theatrically on March 29, the romantic saga received mixed reviews and earned Rs 1.08 crore at the box office. Directed by Shamzu Zayba, OTT lovers can now watch Abhilasham on Prime Video starting May 23, and those outside India can stream it on Simply South. Abhilasham's cast and crew Produced by Ann Sariga Antony and Shankar Das under the banner of Second Show Productions, this Sreehari K Nair musical is cinematographed by Sajad Kakku and edited by Nimz. Other than Saiju, Abhilasham also stars Thanvi Ram, Arjun Ashokan, Shine Tom Chacko, Navas Vallikkunnu, Binu Pappu, Uma KP, Neeraja Rajendran, Sheethal Zackaria, Ajisha Prabhakaran, Nimna Fathoomi, Vasudev Sajeesh, Aadhish Praveen, Zhinz Shan and Nandana Rajan among others. Abhilasham's plot overview The story revolves around Abhilash, a man who has harboured feelings for his childhood friend Sherin for years but has never expressed them. After Sherin returns to town as a widow with a daughter, Abhilash's unspoken love resurfaces. His best friend, a lawyer named Ajesh, devises a plan to bring them closer by involving them in a legal complication over a shipment of attar bottles, leading to humorous and heartfelt situations. Abhilasham's review A part of The Lensmen's review of the film read, 'Abhilasham was a concept where if they had reduced the melodrama and used the climax to build a 20-minute short film, the feel factor would have worked wonderfully. The kind of breathing space the film gets when Binu Pappu and Tanvi Ram have a conversation at the end should have been the movie's tone. But unfortunately, that happens only at the very end after dragging a slim plot for almost two hours.' Do you think Abhilasham will find its due on OTT? Drop your thoughts @indiatimes.

Iyer in Arabia OTT Release Date: When and where to watch Mukesh and Urvasi's Malayalam comedy film online
Iyer in Arabia OTT Release Date: Back in 2024, Mukesh and Urvasi starred together in a Malayalam comedy, which has finally found a digital home after a long time. Directed by M. A. Nishad, the film was produced by Vignesh Vijayakumar under Wealth I Productions. As per OTTPlay, you can watch Iyer in Arabia on Sun NXT starting May 16, 2025. Iyer in Arabia's plot overview Iyer in Arabia follows the story of Srinivasa Iyer (Mukesh), his son Rahul (Dhyan), and his wife Jhancy Rani (Urvashi). Srinivasa Iyer is a conservative and possessive father, while Jhancy, a school teacher and popular YouTuber, brings a more modern perspective to the family. Rahul aspires to move to Dubai to build a career as an architect, but his father's rigid beliefs and cultural reservations become a major obstacle. The film subtly portrays Srinivasa as a supporter of right-wing ideology. At its core, Iyer in Arabia is a satirical take on generational and ideological conflict, focusing on a father-son relationship strained by rigid beliefs and the desire for personal freedom. Iyer in Arabia's cast and crew Other than Mukesh and Urvashi, Iyer in Arabia also stars Dhyan Sreenivasan, Shine Tom Chacko, Durga Krishna, Dayana Hameed, Biju Sopanam, Jaffar Idukki, Sudheer Karamana, Sunil Sukhada, Alencier Ley Lopez, Maniyanpilla Raju, Uma Nair, Divya M. Nair, Sinoje Siddique, Kailash and Jayakumar Parameswaran Pillai among others. This Anand Madhusoodanan musical is edited by Johnkutty. Iyer in Arabia's review The Lensmen review of the film read, 'Iyer in Arabia felt more like a wasted opportunity to make a solid satire. If you are a politically aware person, some of the key characters in this movie will be extremely relatable to you. But rather than developing an engaging film with those relatable characters, MA Nishad decided to hastily assemble a comedy film that might feel passable as 30-second reels, but not as a two-hour and twenty-minute long feature film.'
