Kajol says Karan Johar didn't want her to regain memory after fall on Kuch Kuch Hota Hai set: ‘SRK gave me medicine, Karan told me I was a background dancer'
Every Kajol fan has likely heard the iconic behind-the-scenes tale from the sets of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, where the actress suffered a fall from a bicycle and temporarily lost her memory. The incident left director Karan Johar and co-star Shah Rukh Khan in a state of panic. But now, in a new vlog by filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan, Kajol has added a humorous twist to the story suggesting that Karan may have had a rather cheeky reason for wanting her to forget everything.
Kajol, who is actively promoting her film Maa (now in theatres), recently appeared on Farah Khan's vlog with her entire team. During their chat, Farah recounted the memorable incident to her viewers, saying, 'During Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kajol fell off the cycle, and when she woke up, she had lost her memory.' Turning to Kajol with a grin, she added, 'I think you were just trying to forget that Karan was there.' The joke had Kajol in splits, who chimed in with her own quip: 'I think Karan just wanted me to lose my memory so he could convince me that I was a background dancer!'

Recalling Shah Rukh Khan's concerned reaction, Kajol shared, 'I remember my head was pounding and Shah Rukh was trying to give me medicine. But I kept saying, 'Nahi, main davaiyan nahi leti hoon.' Then, three hours later, I suddenly woke up, my memory was back, and I felt perfectly fine. But I had no idea what had happened in those three hours. SRK just looked at me and said, 'Idiot, you took the tablet that's why you're fine.''
In another interview with Mashable India, Kajol elaborated on the chaotic aftermath of the accident. 'Shah Rukh aur Karan ki band baji padi thi uss waqt,' she recalled. 'I was crying and looking at them like, 'Kaun ho tum log? Main kahaan hoon? Mujhe ghar jaana hai!' And the worst part was—we were in Mauritius! We couldn't even go home!'
Farah, on her vlog, had recalled how producers felt if a heroine falls on the set, the film will work well. 'Kajol used to fall on the sets of all our films, including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. After a point, whenever she did, we'd heave a sigh of relief, assuming the film would be a hit. While we were shooting Kal Ho Naa Ho, Preity Zinta was giving a shot on a bridge and she fell down. We were thinking, 'Thank God, now the movie's going to be a hit.' So now, I occasionally push my actors on set once in a while,' she had said on the vlog.

Farah Khan Prepares To Welcome Kajol, But Not Without A Hilarious Twist
Last Updated: Kajol is currently busy with the promotion of the upcoming mythological horror film Maa. Farah Khan's home was buzzing with excitement. The reason? She and her cook Dilip, who have been capturing hearts on the internet with their fun cooking vlogs, invited none other than the ever-charming Kajol to their place. The house looked beautiful, the table was laid out, and Farah and Dilip eagerly waited for their guest to arrive. But that did not happen. What followed next was nothing short of hilarious. As the video began, Farah informed her cook that Kajol would soon arrive at their place. Dilip, keeping up with the fun, told her that he knew about their special guest, and that's why he had opted to dress like Shah Rukh Khan in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge with a ukulele in his hands. Right after their playful interaction, Farah told him that Kajol had arrived and then opened the main door. To their surprise, or rather shock, a woman from Kajol's PR team appeared. And as the bell rang again, with hope of welcoming the actress this time, Farah opened the door only to meet with Kajol's bodyguard. Following this, the two welcomed the 50-year-old actress's manager, social media manager, assistant, and makeup artist. With no sign of Kajol, the two were left upset as they couldn't meet Kajol. The real twist comes when the video cuts to outside the apartment, where Kajol is seen repeatedly ringing the doorbell, with no one answering her from the other side. At last, Kajol was seen screaming 'Farah" at the top of her voice, leaving everyone in splits. Farah shared the video on her Instagram account on Tuesday, June 24, captioning it, 'When Kajol came home but really didn't bechaara Dilip.. maybe he l meet her when #Maathefilm releases n she cms to celebrate on our YouTube channel #Maaintheatres27thjune." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Farah Khan Kunder (@farahkhankunder) FYI, Kajol is counting down the days until the release of her highly anticipated mythological horror film, Maa. She has been going all out for the promotion of the movie, which is scheduled to be released on June 27. Besides Kajol, the Vishal Furia-directed film features Kherin Sharma, Indraneil Sengupta, Ronit Roy, Jitin Gulati, Surjyasikha Das, Gopal Singh, Yaaneea Bharadwaj, and Roopkatha Chakraborty. As for Farah and her cook Dilip, the two have been successfully running a cooking-based show on YouTube, where they either visit or invite celebrity guests to their home. First Published:
