Advanced policies soon to make TG compete in world, says CM
The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone to the new unit of Ichor Biologics on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said Hyderabad has already emerged as the world's bulk drugs capital. 33 percent of the country's vaccines and 43 percent of bulk drugs are being produced from Hyderabad.
The city of Hyderabad also made its own mark in exporting vaccines from Genome Valley to the world during the Covid pandemic, Revanth Reddy said, adding that the government is taking decisions in tune of with the industrial policies adapted in the previous government, which remained unchanged.
Stating that Hyderabad will become a data city in the coming days, the CM said the state already signed agreements for attracting Rs 3.28 lakh crore investments.
The Chief Minister reiterated that Telangana will be developed into a $1 trillion economy by 2035. The CM appealed to the Genome Valley entrepreneurs to support the state in achieving the goals.

No funds from muzrai temples diverted: DGR
Mangaluru: Minister for health and family welfare, Dinesh Gundu Rao, expressed concern over the spread of false information accusing the govt of diverting revenue from endowment temples for other purposes. NMC reinvites ‘Ram Kal Path' bids after lukewarm response
Nashik: The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Thursday refloated the tender for the 'Ram Kal Path' project inviting tenders from private agencies for the second phase of the work amounting to Rs 74.8 crore, after receiving a lukewarm response to its initial bids. The Ram Kal Path project involves developing a 1.3km stretch from Ramkund to Kalaram Temple and Seetagumpha. After a poor initial response, the civic body has refloated the tender for the Rs 74.8-crore project, hoping for better participation this time. If a contractor is finalised soon, work is expected to begin promptly, given the project's deadline of Sept next year, civic official said. Prashant Pagar, a senior official from the public works department of NMC, said four contractors had filed their bids, but three were disqualified. "Hence, we took the second call for inviting the bids. This time, we are expecting good response from the contractors for the project," he said. The civic officials said various beautification works were to be undertaken under the project to make the entire stretch an attraction for tourists. The upcoming Kumbh Mela is slated to be held between 2026 and 2028. Hence, NMC wants to complete the Ram Kal Path project before the Kumbh Mela begins. The flag hoisting of the Kumbh Mela is to be held in Oct next year. In June, the civic body had decided to increase Ram Kal Path's width to 9 metres. In May, NMC had set aside Rs 23 crore on renovating structures' façade along the corridor. In April, NMC sought additional funding for project and also decided to demolish six wadas to pave.

Jharkhand eyes second Sainik School
1 2 Ranchi: The state govt is planning to establish another Sainik School in the state to expand opportunities for students aspiring to join the armed forces. Chief secretary Alka Tiwari on Friday directed the state education department to initiate groundwork for the proposed institution. The department has been asked to identify potential locations and prepare necessary documentation so that a formal proposal can soon be submitted to the Union govt for approval. Currently, the state has only one Sainik School at Tilaiya in Koderma district which was established in 1963. "With 875 enrolled students, Tilaiya's Sainik School has the highest number of students enrolled among all the Sainik Schools across the country. To expand opportunities for the students of the state aspiring to join the armed forces, there is a need of another Sainik School in the state," the chief secretary said, directing the secretary of school education department to initiate groundwork for the proposed institution.
