Malaika Arora says trolls calling her ‘buddhi' triggers her, reveals son Arhaan Khan's reaction: ‘Bahut insensitive hai'
Malaika Arora has heard it all, from being called 'buddhi' to being mocked for her bold fashion choices, but she isn't letting ageist trolls dim her sparkle. In a candid chat with Pinkvilla, she opened up about how she handles such comments, why they can still trigger her at times, and the advice her son Arhaan Khan gives her when she's at the receiving end of online hate. Malaika Arora reveals how son Arhaan Khan supports her when she gets trolled. Malaika Arora on being age-shamed Talking about age-shaming trolls, Malaika said, "For me, 'buddhiya'. I mean how can you even say something like that to somebody. Kabhi kabhi ye trigger karta hai (Sometimes, it triggers me) because bahaut hi insensitive hai (it's extremely insensitive). Because they see only that (brave) persona. They'll see 'khush lag rahi hai' (she looks happy) but they don't realise that there are so many things that can actually trigger you, upset you." Malaika explained that she believes such situations should be taken as examples to respond positively, encouraging one to say, "People, go ahead and say what you want; I will be better than that." She added that she would prove she could be better and could probably do anything and everything under the sun. Malaika Arora reveals Arhaan Khan's reaction to her getting trolled She also revealed her son Arhaan Khan's reaction to her getting trolled and said, "One of my biggest supporters is my son. He's always like 'what's the big deal mom, if somebody's saying that it's fine. Why are you letting it affect you or upset you?' Uske baad mere khud ke dimaag me jo mechanism hai (After that, the mechanism in my own mind) to deal with situations kicks in and then 'let's move forward, put this behind me'." Malaika has long been at the receiving end of toxic online trolling, with comments about her 'duck walk', sheer outfits, and bold fashion choices, often labelled as 'age-inappropriate'. She has also been called 'aunty', with trolls taking jibes at her relationship with ex-boyfriend Arjun Kapoor. Malaika recently appeared as a judge on the second season of the dance reality show Hip Hop India, alongside Remo D'Souza. Streaming on Amazon MX Player, the season wrapped up in June this year with Shubhankar emerging as the winner.

Shubhanshu Shukla to return to India on August 17, to meet PM Modi
Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla is set to return to India on Sunday (August 17, 2025) after his historic visit to the International Space Station (ISS) and is eager to share his experiences with friends and colleagues back home as ISRO eyes its maiden human spaceflight in 2027. Mr. Shukla, who has been in the U.S., training for the Axiom-4 mission to ISS for the past year, is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and travel to his hometown Lucknow soon after. He is expected to be back in the capital to participate in the National Space Day celebrations on August 22-23. Mr. Shukla posted on Instagram a smiling photograph of himself sitting in an aeroplane, and said in its caption that he was filled with mixed emotions as he left the U.S. and could not wait to return to India to share his experiences with everyone back home. 'As I sit on the plane to come back to India, I have a mix of emotions running through my heart. I feel sad leaving a fantastic group of people behind who were my friends and family for the past year during this mission. I am also excited about meeting all my friends, family and everyone in the country for the first time post-mission. I guess this is what life is -- everything all at once,' Mr. Shukla said in the post. 'Having received incredible love and support from everyone during and after the mission, I can't wait to come back to India to share my experiences with all of you. Goodbyes are hard but we need to keep moving in life. As my commander Peggy Whitson fondly says, 'the only constant in spaceflight is change.' I believe that applies to life as well,' he said. Mr. Shukla also added, 'I guess at the end of the day -'Yun hi chala chal rahi - jeevan gaadi hai samay pahiya',' recalling the song from the Bollywood movie Swades that was on his playlist just before he embarked on the Axiom-4 mission to the ISS on June 25 from the U.S. Mr. Shukla and his backup astronaut, Prashanth Nair, participated in the Independence Day celebrations at the Indian Consulate in Houston on Friday (August 15, 2025). Addressing the 79th Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (August 15, 2025) said India was developing its own space station and recalled that Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla has returned from a space mission. "Our Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla has returned from the space station. In the coming days, he is returning to India," Mr. Modi had said. Mr. Shukla was part of the Axiom-4 private space mission that lifted off from Florida on June 25 and docked at the International Space Station on June 26. He returned to Earth on July 15. Coolie v/s War 2 : Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR still chase Rajinikanth's crime-actioner at the worldwide box office after 2 days
Coolie vs. War 2 is undoubtedly one of the biggest box office clashes in recent times. Despite minimal overlap in their target audiences, it is among the most high-profile clashes of our era. Initially, War 2 was expected to be the bigger opener and the higher grosser when both films began production. However, as pre-sales commenced, it became evident that Coolie would take the lead in the initial battle. Coolie Continues Leading War 2 On Day 2; Global Difference Between Both Movies Is Over Rs 80 Crore After 2 Days Coolie opened worldwide with collections of Rs 150.75 crore, while War 2 managed around Rs 79 crore. On the second day, War 2 narrowed the gap, but Coolie maintained its global lead, driven by a stronger overseas performance. Coolie collected Rs 92 crore, compared to War 2's Rs 79 crore. While War 2's second day collections in India surpassed Coolie's, it still chases the Rajinikanth starrer courtesy the latter's lead in international markets. Ultimately, the difference between Coolie and War 2 will hinge on overseas collections, as their India collections are expected to be nearly identical, with a slight chance of Coolie finishing ahead. War 2 And Coolie Will Be Viewed As Missed Opportunities Because... Both films are likely to be viewed as missed opportunities. However, Coolie's collections are projected to rank among the top five of all time for a Kollywood film, making it reasonable to consider it a superhit. Additionally, its production costs are not as high as perceived, with over 60 percent of the budget reportedly allocated to actor and director remuneration. War 2, on the other hand, is shaping up to be a loss-making venture, which is surprising given the significant non-theatrical revenue that typically offsets costs for producers. The losses faced by the Andhra distributor are best left unaddressed. War 2 Vs Coolie Clash Update Realistically, Coolie can be declared the winner of this clash, but its underperformance relative to expectations may disappoint Rajinikanth fans and Lokesh Kanagaraj enthusiasts. War 2, from a purely commercial perspective, will likely be remembered as a nightmare best forgotten. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates.
