It appears the injury woes to offensive players are still following the Kansas City Chiefs. During Tuesday's practice, both Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown were injured on separate plays.

Worthy was shaken up after leaping for a catch and was seen limping to the sideline. However, he returned to join his teammates with his helmet on.
The more concerning injury occurred with Brown, who had to be taken off the field in a cart. He was sitting in the front seat, though there is still major concern regarding the severity of the injury that he may have suffered.

Losing Brown for any period would be devastating, as the star receiver also missed the majority of the 2024 season. After the Chiefs signed Brown in free agency, he was slated to be the top offensive weapon for Patrick Mahomes.
Sadly, Brown suffered a sternoclavicular injury that was reported to keep him sidelined for the entire 2024 season. He would eventually return and participate in Weeks 16 and 17, along with the playoffs and Super Bowl.
After a shaky first year with the Chiefs, the hope would be that Brown could return to proper form in 2025. Now, he may have suffered a leg injury that could impact his 2025 season.
If Brown suffered another injury that would keep him out for a large portion of the 2025 season, the Chiefs might have no choice but to waive the wide receiver. This is just speculation, but the team does need to bring in playmakers who can stay healthy.
For now, the Chiefs will have to wait and see what the severity is regarding the injury that Brown sustained.
Despite the lack of offensive weapons, the Chiefs were still able to make it to the Super Bowl in 2024. However, losing Brown or any number of offensive playmakers in 2025 might not warrant the same success.
The good news is the Chiefs have Travis Kelce, Worthy, Isaiah Pacheco, and Kareem Hunt still on the team. There are plenty of playmakers for Mahomes to work with, should Brown be ruled out for an extended period.

2025 Big Ten Title Odds: 'People Are Seeing USC As The Value'
The Big Ten has suddenly become the home of College Football Playoff champions. After Michigan won it all in 2023, four teams from the Big Ten reached the College Football Playoff last season, including now-defending national champion Ohio State. The Buckeyes are co-favorites to win the 2025-26 CFP, too. Yet, interestingly, in Big Ten championship odds at Caesars Sports, early money isn't landing where many might expect. "USC is really the big story," Caesars Sports head of football trading Joey Feazel said. "USC opened 35/1 and is down to 16/1." Feazel helps dive into how bettors are playing Big Ten Conference title odds. Value Shopping Ohio State is the tidy +190 favorite to win the Big Ten title this season. Penn State is close behind at +210, then defending Big Ten champ Oregon at +340. All three of those teams, along with Indiana, reached the College Football Playoff last season. But bettors apparently want a little more bang for their buck in Big Ten football odds. Getting Southern Cal at +3500 looks pretty good right now. If you'd jumped on early with a $100 bet at 35/1, then you'd be looking at potentially $3,500 in profit with a USC conference title. "USC is fourth in ticket count, but leading the money in futures wagers," Feazel said. "A lot of action is coming in on USC. People are seeing USC as the value. "One thing we know: The Trojans have a good offense, but a defense with something to be desired. But they start out with a couple of cupcakes, and maybe they can build up from there." Southern Cal hosts FCS foe Missouri State in the Aug. 30 opener, then hosts Sun Belt outfit Georgia Southern on Sept. 6. Another popular team in Big Ten championship odds is a little less surprising to Feazel. "The Nebraska Cornhuskers are leading the ticket count. That's the case almost every year," Feazel said. "There's always some hype in the offseason that the next season is when they return to their former glory. "So there are a lot of tickets, but not necessarily a lot of money." As such, you can still get Nebraska at +3500. Parlay Play Penn State is No. 2 in ticket count and money in Caesars' Big Ten championship odds, followed by Ohio State. But those two teams' short prices — and corresponding modest payouts if either win the conference title — have bettors looking for other ways to utilize the Big Ten's top two teams. "Futures parlays are very popular now, and those two teams are very involved in those," Feazel said. For example: With the Buckeyes at +190 to win the Big Ten, if a bettor parlays that with, say, Texas +360 to win the SEC and the Buffalo Bills +625 to win the Super Bowl, the payout is significantly better. Add those three legs up in a parlay, and you've got odds of +9571, or about 96/1. So a $100 bet profits $9,571.50. However, all three legs have to get there. And as I often note: Parlays are a bookmaker's best friend. So keep that in mind. A Turtle's Pace Maryland is on the opposite side of the Big Ten championship odds coin. Almost no one believes in the Terrapins, who at +40000 (400/1) are the 16th choice at Caesars, among 18 teams. "The anti-favorite action is on Maryland. The Terrapins have gotten one bet to win the Big Ten," Feazel said. Only Northwestern and Purdue have longer Big Ten odds, both at +50000. Vikings to wear helmet decal honoring Jim Marshall
The Vikings will be honoring the late Jim Marshall this season. Marshall died in June at the age of 87 and team president Mark Wilf said at a Wednesday press conference that the team will recognize his passing with a decal on their helmets. 'In our minds, he's the greatest captain in NFL history and there is no question he also belongs in the Hall of Fame for what he accomplished in his 20-year career,' Wilf said. 'We plan to honor Jim with a helmet decal throughout the 2025 season and are working on plans to recognize him and his family during Legends weekend when we face the Bengals in September.' Marshall joined the Vikings in their inaugural season in 1961 and spent the next 19 years with the team. He helped them to four Super Bowl appearances and holds the NFL record for most consecutive games played for a single team. The Vikings have also inducted him into their Ring of Honor and retired his No. 70 since he retired after the 1979 season.

Back Vikings To Repeat Last Season's Success Behind J.J. McCarthy
When you're bullish on a specific NFL team heading into a season, it's a necessary exercise to check yourself and test the temperature. That doesn't mean sending a text message to the group chat with your high school friends who persuade you to drink the Kool-Aid every summer. Hell, if you bet the Chicago Bears "Over" the last 12 seasons, you'd be 1-11. You need people to shoot you straight. Heading into this year, I find myself a big ol' believer in the Minnesota Vikings. They have one of the best 53-man rosters in the NFL, and head coach Kevin O'Connell and defensive coordinator Brian Flores do an exceptional job at maximizing their talent with proper schematics and execution. Whenever I'm feeling extra purple around August, I shoot my thoughts over to Thor Nystrom , football analyst at Fantasy Life. He's a Vikings guy through and through, and he's plugged into people close to the organization. He's also a straight shooter. "They have a real good shot to be a top-three defense this year," Nystrom told me earlier this week. "Sportsbooks were way too low on [the Vikings] when they dropped the new numbers after the Super Bowl." As long as 22-year-old quarterback J.J. McCarthy isn't a massive downgrade from The Ghost of Sam Darnold, Minnesota should be more than fine. Nystrom studied how McCarthy handled high-leverage situations at Michigan and came away extremely impressed with the results. "The kid is a killer," Nystrom analyzed back in February 2024 . "He's mobile and when he scrambles, he can throw on the run. He was one of the best quarterbacks in the nation under duress." Imagine the possibilities with Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, Aaron Jones and T.J. Hockenson behind a bolstered line with O'Connell calling plays. Hey now. Here are three bets I like for the 2025 Vikings. J.J. McCarthy Comeback Player of the Year (+1000 at DraftKings) We'll find out soon if McCarthy is ready for the next level. Odds are good he will be after winning a national championship, then spending a full calendar year learning O'Connell's offense. Dak Prescott and Aidan Hutchinson are co-favorites, but the path is there for McCarthy. If he returns from a meniscus tear and helps Minnesota reach 10 wins or more, he's a surefire contender. Jonathan Greenard Defensive Player of the Year (+10000 at BetMGM) If the Vikings are a top-five defense, one of their best players is worth a pop. The front office added Jonathan Allen and Javon Hargrave up front, which should make life much easier for Greenard and Andrew Van Ginkel off the edge. Both players recorded double-digit sacks last year and I think it's downright disrespectful that multiple books are offering Greenard at this price. Make the playoffs (-105 at FanDuel) As stated above, I believe Minnesota boasts one of football's most talented rosters. Staying healthy is important, of course, but I expect success if the team isn't ravaged by injuries. O'Connell and Flores have all the tools to ensure the Vikings remain one of the best seven teams in the NFC. Sam Panayotovich is a sports betting analyst for FOX Sports and the BetMGM Network.
