Moncton woman killed in collision in Berry Mills, N.B.: RCMP
New Brunswick RCMP said the two-vehicle collision happened around 9 a.m. on Berry Mills Road in Berry Mills. Police said it is believed the driver of a northbound SUV crossed the centre line and collided with a pickup truck travelling south.
The driver of the SUV, a 49-year-old Moncton woman, died at the scene as a result of her injuries. She was the only person in the vehicle at the time.
Two people in the pickup truck were taken to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries, said RCMP.
Members of Ambulance New Brunswick, the Moncton Fire Department, and an RCMP collision reconstructionist also attended the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
Berry Mills is located northwest of Moncton.

Searchers find body of sole occupant of abandoned boat on Lake Winnipeg

RCMP say they were contacted Sunday morning that an abandoned boat was found in open water near Willow Island, south of Gimli. Upon arrival, local Coast Guard authorities told officers that a wallet and cellphone were located on the boat, but there were no occupants. RCMP say they deployed their Marine Unit and Underwater Recovery Unit, and a few hours later searchers located a 62-year-old man in the water dead. Police say he was the sole occupant of the boat.
