According to police, Umesh Gupta was driving his Ciaz along the service road in the area on Tuesday when the other car, an Innova, approached from the wrong direction. Gupta said he tried to give way, but the two vehicles brushed against each other. What followed was a heated exchange between Gupta and the Innova driver, which soon turned violent when Gupta's sons, Anubhav and Vaibhav, joined in.
Videos recorded by bystanders and shared online show the three men repeatedly striking the Innova driver, knocking him to the ground, and even attempting to use a stick taken from a passerby.
Eventually, the crowd intervened to stop the assault.
While the driver escaped without serious injuries, the Guptas were booked under BNS sections 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt) and 351(3) (criminal intimidation) and arrested.
In a separate incident on Thursday, four residents of Ghazipur were arrested by Knowledge Park police for allegedly ramming a man's car, leaving him severely injured. The accused allegedly had a personal dispute with the victim.
They now face charges under sveral BNS sections for rioting, attempted murder, and wrongful restraint.

Mumbai Police arrested a woman within 12 hours of her allegedly committing a Rs 1.5 crore robbery at her married sister's home in Mumbai's Vasai. Gurgaon: An MBA graduate lost Rs 38 lakh to a fraudster who befriended him online and made him invest in gold trading. Nitin, 25, invested the amount and could see an online profit of Rs 87 lakh. However, he eventually failed to withdraw money. In his complaint lodged with Manesar cyber police, the victim, who belongs to Naharpur village in Manesar and had recently completed his MBA, stated that on May 10, he received a friend request from a woman, Diksha Rawat, on Facebook. Pradhan's husband held for sexually assaulting daughter-in-law
Kota: A BJP worker and husband of the sitting pradhan of Khairabad Panchayat Samiti was arrested Wednesday for allegedly sexually assaulting his 22-year-old daughter-in-law in Ramganjmandi town, Kota district. The accused, identifed as Om Prakash Meghwal (55), also a retired Army man, was produced before a court which sent him to judicial custody. Circle inspector of Ramganjmandi police station, Manoj Singh Sikarwal, said the woman registered the case against her father-in-law on Aug 2. "The woman reported that her husband studies for competitive exams in Jaipur, and she lives with her in-laws. She alleged that her father-in-law had, on occasions, watched her bathing.
