Kourtney Kardashian Shares Eyebrow-Raising Opinion on Parenting & We Have So Many Questions
Parenting on reality TV can't be easy, and the Kardashians have faced more than their fair share of backlash for their controversial parenting takes over the years. However, what Kourtney Kardashian just said might be her most eyebrow-raising opinion yet. She just shared her feelings on this seemingly uncontroversial parenting decision, and it's more than a little confusing.
The Lemme founder appeared on her sister Khloé Kardashian's podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, this week, where she chatted about how she started therapy and began 'challenging the ways that we did things.' Kourtney said, per PEOPLE, 'I feel like I love to just go against the grain, I think.'

This prompted Khloé to dig a little deeper. She asked whether Kourtney actually liked doing things a different way, or if she just wants to stand out.
'No, I think living authentically is not conforming to whatever it is,' Kourtney replied. 'For me, there's so many ways. There's ways we function as a family that…it's like if someone does the same thing every day. Like I do it with everything, it's not about our family.'
Then, she shared one of these controversial takes: she doesn't think kids should go to school. (*record scratch*) Wait, what?! Yes, she thinks kids should not go to school every day, and we have no idea how to take that.
'Like, let's say the school system. I'll think, 'Why do kids f—— go to school?' Truly. It's so dated,' Kourtney said.
Um, OK, let's start with the easy one: kids go to school to learn? Like, duh! Are we still having this conversation in 2025? I mean, sure, some kids are homeschooled. But that's a personal choice, and definitely not one that would work for everybody. Like in families where both parents work. Or families with single parents. Or families with parents who just aren't teachers and don't want to be responsible for their children's education (I can barely handle my son's second-grade homework!).
Saying that it's 'outdated' to send your kids to school is a hot take — and one that could potentially be dangerous if people actually took that to heart. Because while Kourtney might send her kids to private school or pay for expensive tutors to come over and teach them every day, she is definitely not just keeping her kids home every day to do nothing during the school day. Um, Kourt, your privilege is showing!
Instead of calling her sister out, Khloé actually agreed. 'Oh, I'm such a homeschool person. So don't even get me going,' she responded. Again, for millionaires, homeschooling is a much easier option than for most Americans.
Unsurprisingly, Kourtney's kids Mason, 15, Penelope, 12, and Reign, 10, who she shares with ex Scott Disick, agree with her take. Because what kid wouldn't? She said that they will send their mom videos of 'successful people' whose kids never went to public school.
'And then I'm like, 'What's the goal here? You want to do homeschool? Let's do it!' Or whatever it is. I think it's anything,' Kourtney said. She also shared some other hot takes — like not taking her kids to the doctor either.
'I will like nurse the fever of my kids versus giving Tylenol or ibuprofen,' Kourtney, who is also mom to son Rocky Thirteen, 18 months, with husband Travis Barker. 'I just want to do that. And whatever it is, there's so many things like that where I feel like I kinda do, maybe in the world generally does maybe more what I do, but in the United States [it's different].'
Even Kourtney's mom doesn't always agree with her parenting decisions, like her choice to co-sleep with her babies. On an episode of The Kardashians last month, Kris Jenner said she doesn't agree with having a 'kid in the bed' like Kourtney does.
'This is a different generation,' Jenner said. 'We didn't co-sleep in the '80s, no, we didn't,' she continued. 'We had structure. We had schedules. We had mealtimes. We put our kids to bed at 7 o' clock. And then we go to dinner and have some grown up time and it was a wonderful life.'
Kourtney defended herself, saying, 'With my babies and my husband, I have a desire to slow down,' she explained. 'It's nice to actually linger in a moment, not rushing so you can experience everything. If you just slow everything down, then everyone can enjoy and experience things more together.'Best of SheKnows

Danny DeVito Admits He 'Lusted After' Michelle Pfeiffer on 'Batman Returns' Set
Danny DeVito spoke with Colin Farrell, his fellow portrayer of the DC Comics villain the Penguin, for Variety's Actors on Actors series DeVito admitted that during the filming of 1992's Batman Returns, he 'lusted after' costar Michelle Pfeiffer, who played Catwoman 'Be still my beating Penguin heart,' quipped DeVitoDanny DeVito is getting candid about former costar Michelle Pfeiffer. In his conversation with Colin Farrell for Variety's Actors on Actors series, DeVito, 80, admitted that he 'lusted' after Pfeiffer while the two were filming 1992's Tim Burton-directed Batman Returns. 'She was a goddess,' said DeVito, who played the villainous Penguin opposite Pfeiffer's Catwoman and Michael Keaton's Batman. 'If I knew she was going to be in a scene that day …' he trailed off. Farrell, 49, quipped, 'Did you brush your teeth that morning?' 'I got all flushed,' responded the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star. 'Put extra makeup on — 'Give me another pound of makeup.' It was featured in DC Comics' Gotham City Villains, an anthology comic celebrating Batman's rogues gallery. 'I got into the fact that I've always been a big fan of Michelle Pfeiffer's, and the Penguin obviously lusts after Catwoman,' the Oscar nominee told Entertainment Weekly at the time. 'So I figured I'd put those two together.' Farrell, who played the same role in HBO's drama The Penguin, which aired last fall, asked DeVito if he'd play the DC Comics villain again. 'Absolutely,' answered DeVito. 'You can go off the rails with something. The operatic element of Tim Burton's Batman Returns was my favorite thing about it — the music and sets and the whole thing. The Shakespeare of it — 'All the world's a stage.' Oswald's realm and his penguins and his minions and his passion. I loved that.' DeVito later added that his character "would be very content" within his sewer kingdom in Batman Returns — 'as long as I could get Catwoman to visit me every once in a while: Be still my beating Penguin heart.' MAGAworld is spiraling after President Donald Trump boosted a conspiracy theory claiming former President Joe Biden was executed in 2020 and replaced by a robotic clone. From 'CIA masks' to a suspicious lack of veins, Trump's internet detectives are scouring every inch of Biden's body for signs of circuitry. Many of the sleuths—including Raven Harrison, a U.S. House candidate from Florida—believe they've found evidence that Biden's face is really a synthetic mask operated by a robot underneath. 'That's a mask. I don't know when he died. The Vegas trip?' one user commented. 'They were using doubles even back then? Clearly, this is a rubber mask.' Others dug up videos claiming to show 'Giant Biden,' a robot that supposedly replaced the real Biden and stands a few inches taller than the 'original.' One post proposed that Biden's moments of forgetfulness and stumbles are in fact 'disconnections' with his robotic system. Dozens of clips comparing Biden's recent speeches with older ones—where he appears more youthful and energetic—were offered as further 'evidence.' The robo-clone claims, in some ways, undercut a more grounded allegation—that Biden's team was involved in a 'cover-up' of his cognitive decline toward the end of his term—which has gained traction following revelations in a new bombshell book, Original Sin. Biden, who recently shared that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer, has tried to push back on questions about his fitness for office, saying Friday that he felt well enough to 'beat the hell out of' Jake Tapper, the book's co-author.
