This was Noni's second award at the Basadi Music Award. In 2024, she bagged herself the best TV producer of the year award for her role on the SABC News lifestyle show Trendz LIVE, which debuted her at these prestigious awards.
'This is such a big deal for me. Getting recognised for the content I produce both on radio and television is so affirming. This means everything to me, and it feels like a turning point in my career. Not only is the industry starting to see and hear me, but I'm also beginning to believe in my own voice and finally standing fully in my power.
'As a passionate media junkie, I put so much of myself into my work. I'm so glad it's starting to reach the right eyes and ears. It gives me confidence, it opens doors, and most importantly, it reminds me that I'm exactly where I need to be,' she said.
Noni is the producer of a weekday lunchtime show on YFM, and she also co-hosts a feature called Ready, Set, Hired every weekday between 10:00 and 11:00.
Her journey spans over seven years, having worked for stations such as VOW FM and 947, where she contributed and presented to major shows such as breakfast and drive, playing different roles from co-host to traffic and contributor for specific elements on shows.

LaConco makes acting debut in Mzansi Magic's 'Genesis'
LaConco made her acting debut on Tuesday night. Reality star and media personality Nonkanyiso Conco, better known as LaConco, has landed her first acting role. The Real Housewives of Durban star appeared in Mzansi Magic's new telenovela Genesis on Tuesday, playing the role of 'The Podcaster'. 'Hawu, thank you for featuring me,' she wrote on Instagram as she shared the news. Produced by Singavision Productions, Genesis premiered on 21 April. The drama follows former gospel queen Felicia Thabethe, whose once-unshakable legacy is shaken by shocking secrets, forcing her to fight for her family's name and save Genesis Records.
