Italy Gains Sovereignty Over Subscriber Data During PM's Visit to Bahrain
According to Bahrain News Agency, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, CEO of the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA), highlighted the importance of developing Bahrain-Italy relations across various sectors. He emphasised Bahrain's commitment to expanding cooperation with Italy to achieve shared goals, exchange expertise, and enhance the development of digital infrastructure.
Al Qaed noted that this decision aligns with Decree-Law (56) of 2018 regarding the provision of cloud computing services to foreign entities and related ministerial decisions. He noted that the move reflects ongoing collaboration between Bahrain and Italy in digital transformation and expertise exchange.
He also underlined the commitment of both countries to further enhancing bilateral relations and advancing shared objectives. Al Qaed said Bahrain remains dedicated to supporting knowledge exchange in the ICT sector, contributing to the development of digital infrastructure and supporting the Kingdom's economic growth and development.

Ithmaar Bank announces Ithmaar reward winner of June draw Manama I thmaar Bank, a Bahrain-based Islamic retail bank, announced June draw's winner of Ithmaar Reward Programme that is designed exclusively for corporate Modaraba accountholders. 'On behalf of all of us at Ithmaar Bank, we congratulate Mohamed Yusuf Najibi Philanthropic and all its team for winning June prize of Ithmaar reward programme, which we have launched as part of the Bank's efforts to provide an exceptional banking experience to our clients,' said Ithmaar Bank Senior Manager in Private Banking and Business Alliances Department, Abdulla Abdulrahman. 'Ithmaar will continue to work on enhancing its products and services provided to its clients in line with their financial demands and requirements,' he said. Ithmaar Reward Programme, that is designed exclusively for corporate Modaraba deposit accountholders, aims to encourage corporates as well as Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to invest more in the Bank's Modaraba account to increase their chances of winning rewarding prizes. Modaraba accounts of six (6) months and longer tenors, with an amount of BHD100,000 or USD 250,000 or higher are qualified to enter the draw to win an additional 1% of profit on the modaraba amount. The draws of Ithmaar Reward will be held on a monthly basis and a winner will be chosen every month.
