Inter Milan will have a lot to prove in the 2025-26 Serie A season.
First of all, the Nerazzurri will have to recover from the bitter end to the current campaign. They lost out on the league title on the final day to Napoli.
Meanwhile, Inter will be heading into the new season with a new coach in the form of Cristian Chivu.
Therefore, there will be a lot of uncertainty around Inter going into the upcoming campaign.
There will be the Club World Cup this month. That will be the first opportunity to see Chivu's new-look Inter on the pitch.
However, the first league match with the Romanian in charge will come against Torino.

FIFA Club World Cup bracket: Schedule, groups for 2025 tournament
FIFA Club World Cup bracket: Schedule, groups for 2025 tournament Show Caption Hide Caption Timing of FIFA Club World Cup problematic for teams across the globe Seth Vertelney explains why the timing of the FIFA Club World Cup is sounding alarms for franchises across the globe. Sports Seriously The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is approaching, with the 32-team tournament featuring some of the biggest club teams in global soccer. The new format for the Club World Cup includes a major expansion, with the old version of the event featuring just seven teams in most editions. Now, though, the event will feature group-stage play akin to what most fans will recognize from the men's and women's World Cups. The path through the bracket will be tough for MLS's representatives. Lionel Messi and Inter Miami have a viable path out of their group, and LAFC (the final entrants to qualify) could do the same, but both will be up against it unless multiple European giants fall in the first round. The Seattle Sounders, meanwhile, will face newly-crowned Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain in what is arguably the hardest group in the tournament. does Club World Cup bracket work? The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will work through a bracket familiar to any fan of international soccer. Much like the World Cup for national teams, the Club World Cup will start with a group stage, with the 32 participants divided into eight groups of four. Those groups will operate on a round-robin basis, with a given team playing the other members of the group once, and the top two teams in each group will advance to the knockout round. That will leave 16 teams standing, and from there it's pretty simple: winners advance, losers go home. The knockout stages will progress from a round of 16 to the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the tournament final on July 13 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. When does the FIFA Club World Cup start? The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will run from June 14 to July 13 at locations spread throughout the United States. Lionel Messi and Inter Miami are set play in the opening match, which will see the MLS contenders take on Egyptian club Al-Ahly at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, at 8 p.m. ET. Real Madrid star's injury recovery ‘progressing much faster than expected'
Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga is recovering from injury at a considerably faster pace than was originally anticipated. That's according to Marca, who have on Saturday provided an insight into the situation. Advertisement Midfielder Camavinga has for his part been sidelined since back in April, owing to a muscular injury. En route to a 1-0 La Liga downing of Getafe, the Frenchman pulled up with a groin concern, which was later confirmed to have brought a premature end to his 2024/25 campaign. The initial assumption was that Camavinga would likely also be ruled out of the upcoming Club World Cup in the USA. If the latest word stemming from the media this weekend is anything to go by, though, then the 22-year-old could yet return to boost the options of new boss Xabi Alonso much sooner than expected. As per Marca: 'The player appears to be progressing much faster than expected. Given what's been seen 11 days before Madrid's campaign for the latest title, Camavinga could be available in time to make a last-minute comeback (at the Club World Cup).' Conor Laird – GSFN

Revealed – Deadline For Inter Milan To Decide Whether To Sign Nicola Zalewski Permanently From Roma Inter Milan must decide whether to sign Nicola Zalewski permanently from Roma by June 18th. This according to Italian journalist Filippo Biafora. He reports in a tweet that the Nerazzurri have yet to exercise the purchase option in the 23-year-old's loan deal from January. Advertisement Wingback Nicola Zalewski joined Inter Milan on loan during the January transfer window. Al momento la situazione è in stand-by. Il diritto di riscatto scade il 18, per ora non è stato esercitato — Filippo Biafora (@Fil_Biafora) June 7, 2025 The Nerazzurri brought the Polish international in following the departure of Tajon Buchanan. Zalewski's loan only ran until the end of the season. However, it also contained a purchase option, reported to be worth around €6-7 million. (Photo by) According to Italian journalist Filippo Biafora, the purchase option expires on June 18th. Therefore, the Nerazzurri have just a couple more weeks to decide whether or not to sign Nicola Zalewski on a permanent basis. Advertisement Should Inter sign Zalewski outright, he can be a part of their squad for the Club World Cup this summer. However, the timing of the deadline means that Inter must make a decision before the start of that tournament.
