2025 NFL odds: If Dallas Cowboys make playoffs, how far will they go?
The Dallas Cowboys might be America's Team, but based on where the public is putting their money, there doesn't seem to be much faith in their ability to maintain that mantle.
At BetMGM, for example, the Eagles are favored to win the NFC East at -175, the Commanders have the highest ticket (33.7%) and highest handle (46.9%), and the Giants are the biggest liability in the division.
Perhaps bettors are fading Dallas because it went 7-10 in 2024.
But what are the chances the franchise has a get-right season and makes a postseason run in 2025?
Well, over at another book, you can bet on that.
Let's take a look at the odds for how far the Cowboys will go in the playoffs next season at DraftKings Sportsbook as of June 6.

In 2024, starting quarterback Dak Prescott's hamstring injury and surgery sidelined him for nine games. But Dallas was still able to achieve seven wins.
And NFL reporter Henry McKenna predicts that, if Prescott stays healthy, the 2025 Cowboys will clinch a spot in the wild-card round.
"For all the criticism surrounding Jerry Jones, he has put together a nice offseason, addressing the help the Cowboys needed at premium positions," McKenna wrote.
"They actually have the fifth-hardest strength of schedule," he noted in his 2025 NFL playoff predictions. "But if you look at their depth chart from top to bottom, they are absurdly talented. Dallas has looked foolish in headlines this offseason, but this team is way more dangerous than we think."
"The Facility" co-host James Jones, on the other hand, doesn't have such high hopes for Dallas.
"It's hard for me to see the Cowboys bouncing back and really getting back into the playoffs unless the quarterback plays at an MVP level because that is what it's going to take," Jones explained.
"And another thing that I'm noticing … is that they got four Thursday games. It is going to be tough to get through this schedule. I think the Cowboys miss the playoffs again."

"It always starts with stops for us," Gilgeous-Alexander said on the ABC broadcast. "We've gotta figure out a way to string them together for a 48-minute game, but we did enough to get a W tonight." The NBA MVP totaled 35 points to help the Thunder overcome a 10-point deficit and secure the 111-104 victory in Indianapolis. Gilgeous-Alexander's efforts helped the Thunder overcome a poor outside shooting performance, which included just three made 3-pointers. The Thunder trailed by seven points with about 11 minutes remaining in Game 4. They ended the contest on a 12-1 run over the final three minutes. Jalen Williams poured in 27 points. Fellow Thunder forward Chet Holmgren totaled 14 points and 15 rebounds. Veteran guard Alex Caruso chipped in 20 off the bench. The Thunder will host the Pacers in Game 5 on Monday in Oklahoma City. "We knew when we woke up this morning, 3-1 is a lot different than 2-2 going back home," Gilgeous-Alexander said. "We played with desperation to end the game, that's why we won. "We are going to try to maintain the same desperation going into Game 5 and Game 6, whatever it may be." Pacers players pried into dribbles and clogged the court like rush hour traffic to rattle the Thunder early on. Because of their sour shooting, the Thunder worked mostly inside and logged 16 of their 34 first-quarter points in the paint. Williams led the way with a dozen points over the first dozen minutes, but the Pacers carried a 35-34 edge into the second quarter. Pacers wing Bennedict Mathurin hit a 3-pointer 10 seconds into the frame, but the Thunder roared back with a 9-2 run for a 51-45 advantage. The Pacers ended the quarter with a 12-4 surge for a 60-57 lead at the break. Gilgeous-Alexander scored 12 points in the first half. Pacers forward Pascal Siakam netted 14 points. The Thunder were 0 of 6 from 3-point range in the second quarter. The Thunder tied the score early in the third quarter and kept the game tight until the Pacers heated up again from outside. They outscored the Thunder 27-23 in the frame to carry an 86-76 lead into the fourth quarter. The Thunder's shooting skid included a streak of 10-consecutive missed 3-pointers. The Thunder then used a 7-0 run to tie the score early on in the final frame. The Pacers pushed their lead back to two possessions, but the Thunder continued to respond behind the MVP. Gilgeous-Alexander hit a rare 3-pointer to cut the deficit to one with 2:58 remaining. He made a jump shot on the next possession for the Thunder's first lead of the second half. The All-NBA floor general continued to attack the Pacers defense in crunch time, snatching momentum from the home team and lifting the Thunder back into the series. The Pacers missed their final five shots as part of their Game 4 collapse. Siakam totaled 20 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five steals in the brutal setback. Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton totaled 18 points and seven assists. Forward Obi Toppin scored 17 off the Pacers bench, including 10 in the second half. Game 5 will tip off at 8:30 p.m. EDT Monday in Oklahoma City.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander becomes just 12th NBA player with 3,000-point season
The milestones keep coming for Oklahoma City's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. With his first basket of Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday night, Gilgeous-Alexander — the NBA's reigning MVP — reached the 3,000-point mark for the season, including playoffs. The milestone came on a 10-footer with 8:24 left in the opening quarter. He needed only two points to get there Sunday, after scoring 38 in Oklahoma City's Game 1 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Thursday. Technically speaking, Gilgeous-Alexander had reached the 3,000-point threshold in Game 1, but as statistics accumulated during NBA Cup games don't count toward season totals, nothing was official until Game 2's first basket. This is the 25th time in NBA history that a player has scored 3,000 points in a season. Michael Jordan did it 10 times, Wilt Chamberlain did it five and 10 other players — Bob McAdoo, Elgin Baylor, James Harden, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, Luka Doncic, Rick Barry, Shaquille O'Neal and now Gilgeous-Alexander — have done it once. Jordan did that three times, while Doncic and Harden have done so once. The 26-year-old Gilgeous-Alexander took home MVP honors – his first – for a season that saw him score an NBA-leading 32.7 points per game and 2,484 points. His 548 points scored in the playoffs this year also leads all players. He also averaged five rebounds and 6.4 assists per game, and has seen a boost to both of those figures – to 5.6 and 6.8 per game, respectively – in the playoffs. These performances pushed the Thunder to an NBA-best regular-season record of 68-14, as well as their first finals appearance since the 2011-2012 season.
