Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler's Divorce Money Drama, Explained
Things seemed pretty amicable for a while, with Kristin even referring to Jay as 'the best' in a Father's Day tribute following their split (which she has since deleted). But things took a turn recently when The Hills alum alleged she had 'never gotten a penny' from her ex-husband in the aftermath of their split. Now, Jay is firing back at the claim and external sources are getting involved. It's a lot, so here's a breakdown of the recent developments in Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler's divorce money drama.
During the June 18 episode of Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour, Kristin finally addressed speculation surrounding the former NFL quarterback's involvement in her jewelry brand, Uncommon James. According to her: He had nothing to do with the brand or its success.
'Our revenue is close to $50 million a year,' she said during the episode, per People, 'but because I was obviously a WAG—athletes' wives and girlfriends, if you're not familiar—people love to say that everything I have in my life is because of my ex-husband, and that my ex-husband funded Uncommon James.'
She went on to add that no only did Jay not fund her company—he'd never given her any money, period. 'But I am, to this day, 100 percent owner, and I've never taken any outside funding,' she continued. 'I have never gotten a penny from my ex-husband. I didn't get any money from our divorce, so let's just clear that up.'
Oh, and she doubled down on those claims on the June 24 episode of her Let's Be Honest with Kristin Cavallari podcast, reiterating, 'Everyone thinks that my ex-husband gave me money. I didn't get any money.'
During the August 15 episode of the Take It Outside podcast, the former Chicago Bears player addressed Kristin's claims that she got no money in their divorce. According to him: It was 'reckless' of her to discuss the terms of their divorce so publicly, especially since her claims were 'completely false.'
'In the state of Tennessee, if we would have went to the judge and been like, 'Hey, he's going to keep every single dollar over the past seven years and you're going to get nothing,' there's not a judge in the state of Tennessee that would have signed that,' he said. 'They would be like, 'No, this isn't—this isn't right. This isn't legal. Not happening.' So, there's that.'
He continued, 'She has a lawyer. I have a lawyer. Is her lawyer really going to be like, 'Fine, you get zero dollars. He gets to keep all the money that was made over the seven years'? Absolutely not.'
And he wasn't done there! 'I think it's borderline slander to insinuate that there was zero dollars split during the marriage that each side got,' he added. 'It's insanity. It's completely false, completely untrue... I'm not going to get into those exact numbers, but I can guarantee you it's definitely not zero dollars.'
Yep. An insider 'close to the former couple's relationship' gave People some insight into everything. They told the outlet that Jay's outburst is 'a standard gaslighting tactic from a known narcissist.'
Per the source: 'His answer was manipulated into something completely different than what Kristin was initially saying.'
Kristin has yet to respond to Jay's podcast rant, but you better believe we're waiting for her rebuttal.

Gerry Turner's journey to love continued after Theresa Nist. In fact, the 73-year-old secretly dated another 'Golden Bachelor' contestant following his divorce from the New Jersey native, 72, in 2024. Turner and Nist first got engaged at the end of 2023 on the show before exchanging vows on a TV special in January 2024. But by April of that year, the exes announced in an interview with 'Good Morning America' that they were divorcing. 10 Theresa Nist with Joan Vassos, Susan Noles and Kathy Swarts. theresa_nist/Instagram 10 The ladies of 'The Golden Bachelor.' joan_vassos/Instagram While on Wednesday's episode of the 'Bachelor Happy Hour' podcast, hosts Susan Noles and Kathy Swarts asked Nist about her ex-husband's dating history. 'I'm actually the one who suggested he go out with Christina,' she revealed. 'We're all on the same page. They went out for, like, six months,' Swarts chimed in, which surprised the finance whiz. According to Kempton's bio from the 'Golden Bachelor,' the then-73-year-old is a retired purchasing manager who lived in Sierra Madre, Calif. 10 'The Golden Bachelor' contestant Christina Kempton. 'I really am happy for him,' Nist, who's also dating, stated on an episode of 'The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast' in June. 'And if he had to find his person by going this circuitous route, then he did, then it was successful. He found someone that really suits him, and that's wonderful. So I think it worked out the way it was supposed to work out.' While on the mic, Nist also addressed rumors that she and Turner split over his cancer diagnosis. 'It was a zero factor, zero. Absolutely. I was just so surprised that he even said that,' she detailed. 'I knew about the cancer a long time ago. And the way Gary presented it to me was that, 'The doctor said that I'm going to die of old age before this cancer gets to me.'' 10 Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist tie the knot. Disney 'He bluffed it off, like it really wasn't that important,' continued Nist. 'And he had no symptoms, and he still doesn't. So we never had a conversation that said, 'Oh my gosh, you're sick. I can't stay with you now. I have to leave.' That never happened.' In December 2024, Turner revealed he's been diagnosed with a blood cell cancer, Waldenström's macroglobulinemia, claiming it played into their split. He also admitted that he and Nist each wanted to live close to their families in different states. 10 Theresa Nist and Gerry Turner pose together. 'And I hope that people understand in retrospect now that that had a huge bearing on my decisions and I think probably Theresa's as well.' 'They interviewed him the day before they interviewed me,' Nist explained on the podcast. 'And right before my interview, they contacted me, and they said, 'Hey, we want to talk to you right now, because Gerry just came out and said that his illness was the reason you broke up.' And I go, 'What?' I said, 'No, it wasn't that.' There was zero conversation about that being in it.' Although at the time, she did believe that Turner thought he was telling the truth. 10 Theresa Nist sports a pink mini dress while out in the summer. theresa_nist/Instagram 10 Theresa Nist and Gery Turner pose in bed. goldengerryturner/Instagram 'If that was the reason, it was in his mind only, never discussed as a reason. He said it was a factor that weighed heavily into my decision. And I would imagine Theresa's, too,' Nist confessed. 'He just imagined. But it had nothing to do with it. Nothing. I would have never left my husband over in illness. I stayed with my husband, Billy.' She noted, 'I mean, for years he was sick, and he passed away at home. He was in hospice. I mean, it was really pretty bad. But I would never leave … That's just not me. That wouldn't happen.' In September, Nist made it clear she harbors no ill will toward Turner. 'So Gerry and I have spoken,' she exclusively told The Post. 'We don't speak regularly. I would say I wish him all the best, and I can see that he has so many friends, and I'm so happy for him that he does.'

Ilona Maher wants America to fall in love with rugby during Women's World Cup
SUNDERLAND, England — Ilona Maher's mission at the Women's Rugby World Cup is about more than just winning games. Heading into the United States' tournament opener, the world's most followed rugby player on social media wants to get more eyeballs on the sport as it ramps up attempts to crack the market in America. 'Not many people know that there's a Women's Rugby World Cup going on, so we try to get as many people as we can to spread that knowledge,' Maher said ahead of the match against host England in the World Cup curtain-raiser in Sunderland. 'We want the fans in America to see us play here because we've got a World Cup there in eight years and we need to start building for that.' Rugby authorities see America as a vital new market for the sport. The United States will stage the men's Rugby World Cup in 2031 and the women's tournament in 2033. The presence of Maher is key to attracting attention on rugby in the U.S., given she has 5.2 million followers on Instagram and 3.6 million on TikTok — platforms on which she promotes body positivity. The 29-year-old Vermont native believes she and her teammates are 'changing the game on and off the field a lot.' 'This is a time where women's rugby is in a state where it could grow massively,' she said, 'and I do believe this team is at the forefront with how we present ourselves and people's perception of us.' Maher certainly stands out, having been named as the best breakthrough athlete at the ESPYs. In an interview with the BBC ahead of the World Cup, she said she has been approached by the WWE — joking that her ring name would be 'Maher-vellous' if she ever became a wrestler — and that she'd love to get into acting. First, though, she wants to deliver at the World Cup, starting with the match in front of 40,000 spectators against England, the tournament favorite, in the north of the country. A star in rugby sevens, in which she won a bronze medal with the U.S. team at the Paris Olympics last year, Maher also had a three-month stint at English club Bristol in the 15 players-a-team format at the start of 2025. 'I think it's so cool,' Maher said, 'that we're up here, so far away from maybe where rugby union is big, and yet we're getting 40,000 people out to a game.' The Americans also will play Australia and Samoa in Pool A at the World Cup.

Jack White Responds to Trump Official Calling Him a 'Washed-Up, Has-Been Loser'
Jack White, February 2025 (John Nacion/Variety via Getty Images) Jack White is a longtime critic of President Donald J. Trump and his administration, and the musician has even taken legal action against the politician and his campaign. The latest chapter in the saga of White vs. White House came earlier this week when the White Stripes rocker insulted Trump's redecoration of the Oval Office, saying that it now looks like 'a vulgar, gold leafed and gaudy, professional wrestler's dressing room.' The barb elicited a response from Steven Cheung, the White House communications director, who told The Daily Beast that White is 'a washed up, has-been loser posting drivel on social media because he clearly has ample time on his hands due to his stalled career.' Cheung further defended his boss' aesthetic choices, telling the outlet: 'It's apparent he's been masquerading as a real artist, because he fails to appreciate, and quite frankly disrespects, the splendor and significance of the Oval Office inside of 'The People's House.'' The war of words continued yesterday (August 20), with White sharing a lengthy statement against Trump and his administration on Instagram. White criticized Trump's 'blatant fascist manipulation of government, his gestapo ICE tactics, his racist remarks about Latinos, Native Americans, etc. his ridiculous 'wall' construction, his attacks on the disabled, his attempted coup and mob insurrection and destruction of the sacred halls of congress,' and plenty more. He went on to use Cheung's words against Trump, writing that the president 'is masquerading as a human being,' and 'masquerading as a christian, as a leader, as a person with actual empathy.' Several artists—including Margo Price and Michigander's Jason Singer—have supported White in the comments on his post. 'You hit a fuckin' nerve 'cuz they don't put out statements this length for earthquakes and shootings,' Patton Oswalt wrote. 'Keep going.' Cat Power's Chan Marshall added, 'LOVE YOU JACK❤️🔥.'
