In a post shared by the Brics news, it was claimed that S-400 was destroyed by Pakistani armed forces, which was absolutely fake.

The S-400 "Sudarshan Chakra" is an Indian name given to the S-400 Triumf air defence missile system acquired from Russia. The term "Sudarshan Chakra" draws from the Epic Mahabharata, symbolising precision, speed, and lethal capability, qualities that closely reflect the S-400's operational strengths.
Developed by Russia's Almaz-Antey, the S-400 is among the most advanced
long-range surface-to-air missile
systems in the world. India signed a $5.43 billion deal with Russia in 2018 to procure five S-400 units, with the first system deployed in Punjab in 2021 to bolster defences against threats from Pakistan and China.
The S-400 can engage aerial targets at ranges of up to 400 km and detect threats as far as 600 km away. It supports four different types of missiles, enabling it to target everything from aircraft and drones to cruise and ballistic missiles.
Equipped with sophisticated phased-array radar, the system can track over 100 targets simultaneously and is mounted on mobile launchers for rapid repositioning. The deployment of the S-400 significantly strengthens India's multi-layered air defence capabilities, offering a strategic edge in protecting key military and civilian assets. It is widely regarded as a game-changer in South Asia's aerial defence landscape.

Centre orders probe into herbicide toxicity
The Centre on Sunday ordered a probe into alleged reports of toxicity resulting from the use of herbicide in soyabean fields, which could be linked to agricultural chemicals not conforming to standards. Union agriculture minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said large tracts of farms in several regions had reported toxicity.(X/ChouhanShivraj) A four-member team, comprising specialists, from the state-run Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) will carry out a field investigation and submit its report 'on an urgent basis', an order issued by the Union agriculture ministry-run ICAR said. Speaking to the media in Madhya Pradesh, Union agriculture minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said large tracts of farms in several regions had reported toxicity. The state is the country's largest soyabean grower, producing up to 5.5 million tonnes annually. Herbicides or weedicides are chemicals that kill weeds and agri-chemicals, especially if spurious or when not used per package instructions, can lead to toxicity in plants and humans. It is widely used by soyabean farmers to save on labour costs. Activists opposed to genetically-modified crops have alleged that illegal herbicide-tolerant soyabean GM soyabean has been found to be grown in many parts of the country's soyabean belt. The Coalition for a GM-Free India, an advocacy platform, and the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (Indian farmers' union), among several organisations, have in the past alleged that illegal soyabean crops had been detected in Gujarat. The BKS is affiliated to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh or RSS, a mother organisation of the BJP. 'This (toxicity) is not limited to one farm. A high-level team of scientists has been set up to probe it and pesticide companies responsible for this will be held accountable,' the farm minister said in the state's Chitkhara. According to the Indian Society of Weed Science, some commonly used herbicides in soybean include pendimethalin, imazethapyr and chlorimuron ethyl. Spurious pesticides have been proved to have a wide market in many states. The Modi government is planning to bring a stricter law to tackle the issue of fake fertilisers and spurious agricultural inputs, a problem that, according to a recent study, accounts for 40% of total sales by value, the HT had reported on June 3. Substandard agricultural materials can cut over 10 million tonnes of potential agricultural output in the country, according to a 2015 study by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce (FICCI). The value of illegal pesticides, for instance, has been expanding by nearly 20% a year, according to the study's findings.

Occupying PoK during Op Sindoor would have given birth to a ‘new monster' for India: Lt Gen Khandare (retd)
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Lieutenant General Vinod G Khandare (retired), who was the principal advisor to the Ministry of Defence during Operation Sindoor , on Sunday said further escalating the recent Indo-Pak conflict by occupying the PoK would have given birth to a "new monster' for India. "The ceasefire was announced by India after a request from Pakistan DGMO. The war is not a cheap solution, as it comes with heavy expenditure and creates a financial burden. We have to decide where we have to take our country, especially when we are dreaming of becoming a developed nation by 2047," he said, adding that we must consider what we are handing over to the next generation. While addressing a public event organised by NGO Gyanyajnah Foundation at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Khandare termed Pakistan a "nonsensical" country, to whom he said a befitting lesson was taught as per the principles of war. Khandare, who is the recipient of the Param Vishisht Seva Medal and Ati Vishisht Seva Medal among other honours, termed Pakistan a police state that often witnesses military rules and political anarchy. Calling Operation Sindoor a convergence between political desire and military action, Khandare lauded affordable, modern innovation in the country's warfare during the May Indo-Pak conflict. "We can adopt high-tech solutions where common sense is added. India fought a high-tech war during Operation Sindoor. Many people are unhappy with us and imposing tariffs," he said, in an indirect reference to US President Donald Trump's tariff on India. Referring to doubts cast by Pakistan over India's success during Operation Sindoor, Khandare said, "We are not worried by their accusations, but feel pain when 'champions' from our country raise suspicions." Speaking on the occasion, former DRDO scientist Pralhada Ramarao said India must advance in modern warfare tactics, and steps to achieve it are being taken. "The development of modern warfare will also be beneficial for our industrial and economic growth. Unless our borders are safe and secure, nothing can be achieved," he said.
