National Girlfriend Day 2025: From Janhvi Kapoor to Kriti Sanon, 5 Rumoured Bollywood Couples Making Waves

By Aditya Bhagchandani Published on August 1, 2025, 10:47 IST National Girlfriend Day, celebrated annually on August 1st, is all about cherishing love, companionship, and the special bond shared between partners. While the day has gained popularity for sweet gestures, date nights, and Instagram tributes, in B-town, it's also a moment to shine the spotlight on those under-the-radar romances that keep fans buzzing. Here's a look at five rumoured couples in Bollywood who've been in the news for their chemistry—both on and off the screen. 1. Janhvi Kapoor & Shikhar Pahariya Among the most talked-about rumoured couples, Janhvi and Shikhar's link-up saga continues to grab attention. From temple visits to party appearances, they've been spotted together frequently. A now-deleted Instagram comment by Shikhar saying 'I am all yours' under a post by Orry (Orhan Awatramani) only added fuel to the fire. The two were last seen seeking blessings at Mahakaleshwar Temple and sharing quiet moments at post-party pick-ups—fans are convinced it's more than just friendship. 2. Palak Tiwari & Ibrahim Ali Khan Are they or aren't they? That's been the question for months. While Palak insists that they're just 'nice friends,' sightings at movie nights and Ibrahim carrying Palak's jacket have certainly stirred speculation. Though they've avoided official statements, their comfort around each other continues to catch the paparazzi's eye. 3. Kriti Sanon & Kabir Bahia Kriti has been linked to UK-based entrepreneur Kabir Bahia, who is reportedly nearly a decade younger than her. The duo is believed to have met during New Year 2023–24 celebrations in Dubai, possibly through Kriti's sister Nupur and friends from the cricket circuit. Kabir, who co-founded Worldwide Aviation & Tourism Ltd., has strong social ties to the Dhoni family and was reportedly seen partying with Kriti in Dubai, sparking dating rumours. 4. Shraddha Kapoor & Rahul Mody Shraddha and screenwriter Rahul Mody have managed to keep things lowkey, but hints from social media and public appearances have led many to believe they're together. Though they haven't confirmed anything, subtle signals and smiles continue to keep the grapevine abuzz with relationship talk. 5. Hrithik Roshan & Saba Azad One of the most unexpected pairings in Bollywood, Hrithik and Saba's romance first surfaced with quiet city outings and eventually went Instagram-official in late 2022. The two have since made joint red-carpet appearances and have often been seen holidaying and spending time with family, giving fans major couple goals. From subtle hints to viral PDA, these Bollywood duos are giving fans plenty to celebrate this National Girlfriend Day. Whether it's official or still under wraps, love—and speculation—is certainly in the air. Ozzy Osbourne's family reveals plans for ‘small, private funeral' to honor late rocker

Ozzy Osbourne will reportedly be laid to rest in a 'small, private funeral.' The late Black Sabbath frontman's loved ones are planning a 'celebration of his life,' a source close to the late rocker's family revealed to People on Tuesday. 'Ozzy would never want a mope-fest,' the insider noted of the singer, who died last week at age 76. Osbourne made this clear in a 2011 column, telling Times readers that he wanted a 'celebration, not a mope-fest.' He joked, 'I honestly don't care what they play at my funeral; they can put on a medley of Justin Bieber, Susan Boyle and We Are the Diddymen if it makes 'em happy. 'I'd also like some pranks: maybe the sound of knocking inside the coffin; or a video of me asking my doctor for a second opinion on his diagnosis of 'death,'' the Grammy winner continued. 'There'll be no harping on the bad times.' In addition to the private funeral, Osbourne's hometown of Birmingham, England, will honor him with a public procession on Wednesday. 'It was important to the city that we support a fitting, dignified tribute ahead of a private family funeral,' the city's lord mayor, Zafar Iqbal, wrote in a statement Monday. Osbourne's hearse will journey down Broad Street, followed by vehicles containing his family members. The Prince of Darkness, notably, is survived by wife Sharon Osbourne and their three children — Aimee Osbourne, Kelly Osbourne and Jack Osbourne. Additionally, the musician was the father of Elliot Kingsley, Jessica Osbourne and Louis Osbourne from his previous marriage to Thelma Riley. His family announced his passing on July 22, writing, 'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.' People reported Monday that Osbourne's family members have been 'touched by all the love and support pouring in from around the world.' The source added, 'They're very grateful for the special family time they had together before Ozzy passed.' The official cause of death for Ozzy, who suffered from a myriad of health issues including Parkinson's disease, has yet to be revealed. Solve the daily Crossword

Ozzy Osbourne's Black Sabbath bandmate reveals heartbreaking details of ‘frail' rocker's final performance

Ozzy Osbourne's deteriorating health came as a shock to his bandmate Geezer Butler before the Black Sabbath farewell show on July 5. The Black Sabbath bassist shared details of Osbourne's final performance, including how 'frail' he had become, in an essay for the Sunday Times. Butler said the iconic rocker needed the assistance of three people while rehearsing and had to sit down while he sang. 'I knew he wasn't in good health, but I wasn't prepared to see how frail he was,' Butler wrote. 'He was helped into the rehearsal room by two helpers and a nurse and was using a cane — being Ozzy, the cane was black and studded with gold and precious stones.' 'He didn't really say much beyond the usual greetings and when he sang, he sat in a chair,' Butler continued. 'We ran through the songs but we could see it was exhausting him after six or seven songs.' Butler also observed that Osbourne was not as talkative. 'We had a bit of a chat, but he was really quiet compared with the Ozzy of old,' he shared. The final show, which took place in Birmingham, England where the band was formed, ended awkwardly. 'Normally, we would all hug each other and take a bow to the audience. But Ozzy was on his throne and we hadn't thought that out,' Butler said. 'What do we do? Tony [Iommi] shook his hand, I presented him with a cake, but it was such a strange feeling to end our story like that.' 'I wish I'd had more time backstage with Ozzy, but wishes are redundant now,' he continued. 'As Ozzy used to say: 'Wish in one hand and s–t in the other and see which comes first.'' Butler described the softer side of Osbourne in his essay, noting he had 'a heart of gold.' 'But if you were a friend in need, Ozzy was always there for you,' he wrote. 'When my son was born with a heart defect, Ozzy called me every day to see how I was coping, even though we hadn't spoken for a year.' Osbourne died on July 22 at 76 years old. A source told Page Six that Osbourne was 're-energized' by his final Black Sabbath concert that took place just two weeks before he died. 'It energized him — it filled him with life,' a longtime pal told us. 'He'd really been slowing down, and then after the show he was really back to be being himself. It's a beautiful ending.' Osbourne had health issues for years prior to his death. He revealed in January 2020 that he had secretly been battling Parkinson's disease for more than 15 years. He also sustained serious neck injuries from a 2003 quad biking accident. In May 2022, the heavy metal icon shared that he could no longer 'walk properly' and would be undergoing a 'life-altering' neck surgery. His family — wife Sharon Osbourne and children Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis — said he died with his family and 'surrounded by love' in a statement obtained by Page Six. The rock star reportedly spent his final days 'in peace' in his home country. 'Ozzy's final days were spent in England, surrounded by family, music and in the place he called home,' a source told People. 'He was in peace.' Solve the daily Crossword
