The model, who is currently appearing on E4's Celebs Go Dating, revealed she has only been in relationships with women in the three years since the breakdown of their marriage.
But she insists that, at the age of 37, it is less about satisfying previously unfulfilled desires and more about starting a new chapter with her own identity.
Talking on Celebs Go Dating, which launched last night, Christine said: 'I feel like I'm a couple of steps away from being my new self and not 'Paddy's wife'. I'm coming out of the transition part.
'I am single and I absolutely do love women. I'd love to explore that more and I definitely see that's where I'm more comfortable.'
She added: 'When I was a teenager, I dated men and women before I was married and now I'm really, really just enjoying spending time with women.
'For the last three years, I've only ever dated women. I was never heterosexual, I've never labelled myself anything other than Christine, to be honest.'
Christine and Paddy, 51, married in 2011 and have three children together.
She claims the Take Me Out and Top Gear presenter knew from the start of their relationship that she was attracted to women and did not take issue with it.
'It's my fault'
Since announcing their shock split in July 2022, Christine has been romantically linked to singer Chelcee Grimes and model, rapper and DJ Roxxxan.
Now, as part of Celebs Go Dating, she is opening up more than ever about her love life and how she perhaps wasn't as into men as it would have appeared.
Christine McGuinness has taken a sly dig at ex-husband Paddy, claiming she now wants to date women so she can have 'a deeper connection.'
On the show, during a dating masterclass with Too Hot To Handle hunk Louis Russell, she is challenged to use her body language to show she is interested in him.
Christine is incredibly convincing, but says afterwards: 'I think it is a really good example of how I'm used to faking it.'
Despite her confidence when it comes to flirting, Christine revealed some of the issues she has encountered with potential new partners.
She said: 'I'm attracted to a masculine woman that's not trying to fit in and be like anyone else.
'I haven't dated an awful lot. I was married for a long time and it took me a while to even think about spending time with anyone.
'Luckily for me, the women I've spent time with over the last couple of years, I already knew them.'
She added: 'The only thing I've struggled with is when I've really liked someone and they haven't got children and they want more. I just know that isn't for me.
'My time is actually very precious and valuable. If I am spending time with somebody, you should know you're important.'
Christine also appeared to address rumours that Paddy had cheated during their marriage.
She said: 'Anyone can make mistakes, but I think the trust was broken.

'I'll always love him as the father of my children, I think he'll be the only man I'll ever love. A lot of people make mistakes and mess up, when you are a couple who is quite well known in the industry then obviously everyone knows your business.
'In some ways, I still carry that feeling of it's my fault because I ended it.
'We had an amazing 15 years, we really did. The last couple of years, I think things weren't quite the same.
'I think once the respect isn't quite there any more, it's time to leave. It was the hardest decision I've ever made in my life and it forever will be.'
Christine revealed it was Paddy's comedic charm that won her over when they met during a turbulent time in her life.
She said: 'He wasn't as known as he is now. I was 19 when I met him. I went to an event where I was modelling.
'My ex husband was there, someone introduced us and we had a laugh. We kept in touch. I did [fancy him], he had a cheeky charm, he made me laugh and I wasn't in the best place.
'I was struggling with a lot of things. I struggled a lot as a teenager, I didn't really know where I fitted or where I belonged.
"When I met my ex-husband it was just perfect timing.
'He made me laugh so much, it was easy, it was an easy relationship.'
Christine was diagnosed with ADHD and autism in her late thirties, shortly after their children, 12-year-old twins Penelope and Leo, and Felicity, eight, were diagnosed with autism.
The developmental conditions have affected her social interactions throughout her life — and that goes for dating, too.
She explained: 'Autism affects me a lot with socialising, it takes me a while to relax and be open to get to know someone.
'They think I'm odd'
'I struggle to read people, so I never really know whether I've made a good impression or not. The thought of going on a date scares me so much.
'I just have a couple of different corners to navigate before I'm OK.

'I just find it uncomfortable with someone I don't know.'
On how she has to take special care to plan dates, Christine said: 'It's just sensory issues, so I struggle with too much texture. It could be the smell, if it's too busy somewhere.
'So I try to avoid restaurants unless I've been there before.
'I think people just think I'm a bit odd or that I have got an eating disorder of some sort.
'It's that first bit of feeling different, but I want someone who accepts all of that, and is OK with that.'
And Christine reckons there is no better place to find love than the E4 dating show.
She said: 'It's all brand new to me, but I'm in the best place, I'm excited for it.
'I've got to take a deep breath and just dive in. I can't be single for the rest of my life.'
Other famous faces on the Celebs Go Dating line-up are Love Islander Olivia Hawkins, Atomic Kitten Kerry Katona, The Chase quizzer Mark Labbett, S Club singer Jon Lee, comic Donna Preston and Made In Chelsea lothario Sam Prince.
They are all guided by dating coach Paul C Brunson and sex guru Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn.
After meeting potential dates, including a lesbian called Leanne, Christine admits: 'There's parts of all of them that I really like.
'With Leanne, although she's presenting more fem, I know there's a lot of dominance in her. I'm really torn. Leanne isn't my usual type, she's more feminine, quite glamorous. I'd like to see more of her masculine side, which I'm pretty sure is in there.'
The show is likely to make for uncomfortable viewing for Paddy as Christine has already divulged a few things that may feel like a needle to her ex-husband.
Before the show aired, she admitted: 'I can just have a deeper connection with a woman. I like someone who knows what they want and isn't playing games.'
Celebs Go Dating is on tonight, tomorrow and Thursday on E4 at 9pm. All this week's episodes are available to stream now.

E4 Married At First Sight UK star gives birth and shares first snap of newborn

Married At First Sight star Rozz Darlington has given birth to a baby girl with partner Jordan Morris and the couple have shared the first photo of their newborn. Married At First Sight UK star Rozz Darlington has given birth to a baby girl. The reality star and florist became a household name after tying the knot with Thomas Kriaras on the E4 reality programme back in 2023. ‌ Rozz, 30, made an iconic entrance to her on-screen wedding at the time, appearing aboard a tractor. Although her romance with Thomas didn't work out in the end, she later discovered happiness with now boyfriend Jordan Morris. ‌ The couple have been together for more than two years, and announced the joyous news of the birth of their daughter on Saturday, August 9. ‌ Posting a touching photograph of herself, Jordan and their newborn in a hospital bed, she wrote on Instagram: "A baby Girl! Arabella Morris-Darlington has arrived! 8th August weighing 6lb 10! We are so in love." Her MAFS co-stars were quick to offer their congratulations, with Adrienne Naylor commenting: "Aww congratulations," whilst fellow bride Sophie Brown declared: "wahhhhh huge congrats!". ‌ Supporters of the television personality also flooded her post with kind messages, with one penning: "Congratulations to you all, beautiful name, beautiful baby xx", and another responding: "Aww you did it! What a gorgeous little angel" alongside a heart eyes emoji. Rozz responded to the lovely congratulatory messages, writing: "Thank you to everyone for all your beautiful comments. We truly are besotted and feel so so lucky to have our precious baby Arabella here. Xxxxxx." The 30-year-old delighted followers earlier this year with the announcement of her pregnancy in a gorgeous clip shared to social media. ‌ Alongside the footage, Rozz disclosed: "We've been keeping a secret! ! Baby Morris - Darlington Due August. A crazy start to 2025!". During her stint on MAFS back in 2023, Rozz and Thomas endured a rocky experience and chose to go their separate ways before the programme finished. Rozz discovered romance once more with Jordan, with a bit of assistance from her neighbour. Reflecting on how their love story began, Rozz explained: "I was out with my neighbour in Manchester and she said, 'My cousin just messaged saying, are you out with Rosaline Darlington?' I then thought he's cute and added him on Instagram" ‌ Rozz and Jordan publicly confirmed their relationship on Instagram last June, though Rozz confessed that making things official felt daunting, as she worried about potential criticism directed at Jordan because of her previous romantic troubles with Thomas. Speaking to OK! Magazine, she revealed: "At first I was like, 'Oh God, what are people going to be like?' ‌ "But people have been generally nice towards Jordan since we went Instagram official. I've had a few comments, but people just form their opinion of you as long as it's hate towards me and not him," she continued. "For me, Thomas is the nation's sweetheart and he is amazing, people do love him, so I didn't want anyone to be rude towards Jordan or for him to receive any hate." ‌ Rozz shared: "He's not like Thomas, but I was apprehensive because people judge others and I wanted to protect Jordan from all of that. I put myself out there in the public eye, Jordan didn't, so it's very difficult. But you've just got to do what's right for you. Time moves on, people heal and people change." She also fondly reflected on how her romance first started with Jordan, during a chilled evening in Cheshire at the beginning of the year. "It was dead relaxing and chilled it was just silly from the get-go," she disclosed. "On the show, I was quite guarded and scared of falling in love when it came down to it, but it's been easy. We've both got the same sense of humour, we're quite silly, we don't take each other too seriously and I feel like personality is a huge part. You want someone to be like your best friend."

A Love Island star, who appeared in the 2022 edition of the ITV2 reality show, has made a surprise appearance on Celebs Go Dating A forgotten Love Island star has made a surprise appearance on Celebs Go Dating. The Channel 4 series returned to screens on Sunday night, and one celebrities such as Kerry Katona, S Club singer Jon Lee and Celebrity Big Brother's Donna Preston are seen looking for love. ‌ And after the first episode went out towards the end of the weekend, it has become apparent that one former Love Island star who made a shock cameo was none other than Jazmine Nichol. The night club manager, who hails from Newcastle, appeared in the Casa Amor section of the ITV2 dating series back in 2022. She arrived in the villa on day 27 in that series, and was dumped four days later. ‌ But she returned to screens once more and is seen strutting onto the set wearing a black dress and heels as she sat down to chat with Too Hot To Handle's Louis Russell. After revealing to him that she's from Newcastle, he said: "I've been there a couple of times," and she quipped: "Well, you've not seen me." ‌ However, it seems as if things do not go anywhere between the any of them, as Louis recently made a public appearance with his new girlfriend Huda Mustafa and they held hands at a film premiere in Los Angeles. The couple have also developed a following for themselves on TikTok in recent months. For the first time ever in this series, the celebrities are jetting off to Ibiza to gon dates with who they think is their perfect match. At one point, Louis headed off to the sunny island with Olivia Hawkins, who also found fame on Love Island in series nine and then returned for the second outing of the All Stars spin-off last year. ‌ Meanwhile, fans of Love Island may remember that Jazmine's time on the ITV2 show was short-lived. Andrew Le Page did try to make things work with her before he coupled up with now ex-girlfriend Tasha Ghouri. And even though Andrew and Tasha, who has gone onto a huge television career with Strictly Come Dancing and Celeb SAS, dated for more than a year after the series ended, Jazmine insisted that she had a 'connection' with him. During an chat with Murad Merali on YouTube, she said: "I did have a connection with someone and that person was Andrew. All the girls knew, from the second we walked in, that he was the one that initially pulled me for a chat." Jazmine claims she and Andrew were "going for chats all the time" prior to the estate agent hooking up with Coco, but Love Island bosses didn't "show in the challenge that I was the only person that he went and kissed." "He kissed me and Cheyanne [Kerr] and said: 'Yous are my top two'. "There was no indication of Coco - she was never mentioned," Jazmine said at the time, before recalling how she had opened up to Coco about her feelings for Andrew.

The new issue threatening Jacqeline Jossa & Dan Osborne's turbulent marriage & final red line she won't let him cross

Plus, what's happened since their 'make-or-break' trip to Mexico ROCKY RIDE The new issue threatening Jacqeline Jossa & Dan Osborne's turbulent marriage & final red line she won't let him cross SINCE getting hitched in 2017, Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne's marriage has come under intense scrutiny, with multiple allegations of cheating, money problems and even arrests plaguing the couple. Earlier this year, it looked like the pair had finally split for good after ditching their wedding rings, selling their marital home and releasing a statement saying they were 'handling things privately.' Advertisement 7 Dan Osborne and Jacqueline Jossa's relationship has seen its share of ups and downs over the years Credit: Getty 7 The pair went on a 'make or break' family holiday to Mexico earlier this year Credit: BackGrid 7 The couple, who wed in 2017, are parents to Ella, ten, and Mia, seven Credit: Getty However, following a 'make-or-break' holiday to Mexico, it appeared they were giving it yet another shot. Now, pals have shared the underlying issues Jacqueline and Dan still face as they desperately try to make it work - and revealed the one deal breaker that would see the EastEnders actress walk away for good. Advertisement 'There was a really rocky patch back there and they almost split permanently,' a source said. 'But Dan begged Jac to stay with him. He knows he's not perfect and ultimately she is madly in love with him and can't see herself with anyone else. "She is desperate to keep their family together and he wants to be with her too. "They're making every effort to reignite their spark with a mixture of therapy and space.' However, according to the insider, there's still one thing they just can't agree on - and it continues to cause conflict between them. Advertisement WEDDING WOES 'Jac is desperate for them to renew their wedding vows,' the source said. 'But Dan isn't as keen. "Their children, Ella and Mia and Dan's son Teddy, are at the heart of everything they do - Jac thinks it would be nice for the kids to see it and for all five of them to be in a photo together. Jacqueline Jossa and estranged hubby Dan Osbourne enjoy a 'make or break' Easter holiday together in Mexico 'Dan believes they've already proved their love for each other by sticking together through the highs and lows, so why should they have to do it again.' And the lows have certainly been plenty. Advertisement CHRISTINE CONTROVERSY 7 The Sun shared how Dan had been swapping texts with Christine McGuinness and had even met her at a hotel in 2023 Credit: Splash For years Dan, 34, and Jacqueline, 32, have had to fight rumours of infidelity. In 2018 he furiously denied allegations he'd been getting close with Love Island star Gabby Allen. And a year later, as Jacqueline was in Australia filming I'm A Celeb, model Chloe Ayling claimed she'd had a threesome with Dan and US reality TV star Natalie Nunn, again, something he denied. However, in an exclusive chat with The Sun in 2020, Dan admitted he had been unfaithful, saying: 'I've made mistakes. I've done things I shouldn't have done.' So inevitably his marriage was rocked further in June this year when The Sun revealed he had been swapping texts with Christine McGuinness and had even met her at a hotel in 2023, following her split from TV presenter Paddy McGuinness. Advertisement Pals admit now that Jacqueline was 'frustrated' by the reports and 'hates when all eyes are on her and her marriage.' 'Jac was embarrassed and fed up after the Christine stuff" we were told. 'It wasn't news to her, she knew about the rumours, it was just dredging up the past that they had already worked through so it was frustrating for her to be in the spotlight again. "She doesn't want the world thinking she's married to some love rat - as far as she's concerned Dan is a good man.' That said, the source maintains that Jacqueline has been firm with her husband before. Advertisement 'The biggest misconception about Jac is that she's a walkover and a mug,' the mole said. 'She's very strong minded and she's given Dan hell for what he's done in the past. "He's paid the price - he would be the mug to cheat again.' THE DEALBREAKER 7 If Dan upset their kids, Jac would be tempted to leave, according to a source Credit: Instagram/@jacjossa While our source genuinely believes Jacqueline 'will never leave' Dan, there is an exception to the rule and that would be if he ever did something publicly to hurt their children, Ella, ten, and Mia, seven. Advertisement 'If Dan's actions upset or embarrass their girls, especially as they get older and understand more, that would likely be enough to push Jac to walk away,' the source said. 'If Dan were to put her in a position where she was being humiliated publicly again, especially after she gave him another chance, she'd be unlikely to stay. "She's told him it's his last chance.' PAST MISTAKES 7 Despite their issues, Jac is said to be desperate for them to renew their wedding vows Credit: Getty Aside from the infidelity rumours, Jacqueline and Dan have navigated other issues which threatened to derail their marriage. Advertisement In 2019, his business, Storm Entertainment, was plunged into thousands of pounds worth of debt, which put strain on the couple. And in 2022, Jac was devastated when Dan was arrested at her 30th birthday party, after becoming embroiled in a 'mass brawl' in their back garden. She [Jac] doesn't want the world thinking she's married to some love rat - as far as she's concerned Dan is a good man Friends of Jac Jossa However, our source said Jacqueline keeps a 'level head' when it comes to problems, preferring to focus on protecting her daughters and keeping her family - including Dan's eleven year-old son Teddy from his relationship with Megan Tomlin - together under one roof. 'Jac's very level headed about stuff,' we were told. 'She just loves Dan so much but also wants to keep her family together. "She thinks marriages are about ups and downs and nobody has it perfect. You always need to work on it. Advertisement "Ultimately, she would hate for their girls to wake up in the morning without their dad there.' RULES OF ATTRACTION 7 Jac is said to keep a 'level head' when it comes to problems Credit: Click News and Media As they try and move forward after yet another rocky patch, things do seem to be on the up. The source explained that therapy, communication and Dan being open and honest with Jacquline has been hugely beneficial for them. But ultimately, the fact of the matter is that Jacqueline still fancies the pants off her husband. 'Oh, she thinks Dan is absolute sex on legs,' confirms the pal. Advertisement 'And he in turn tells her he doesn't want to be with anyone else - and that tells her everything she needs to know. They're a family, a strong unit and they love each other very much.' I've made mistakes. I've done things I shouldn't have done Dan Osborne Following their 'make or break' trip to Mexico, it seems Jacqueline has laid down firm ground rules and boundaries, which, according to our source, Dan is happy to stick to. 'Jacqueline's decision to stay with him seems rooted in genuine love, committed work to heal (through therapy and time apart) and prioritising their family unit for their children,' they said. 'She hasn't glossed over Dan's mistakes - she demanded clear commitment from him and truly believes they'll grow stronger together.'
