Out of the many stars confirmed to appear in next year's event movie "Avengers: Doomsday," Ryan Reynolds' isn't among them. But the "Deadpool & Wolverine" star's social media may have you thinking otherwise.
Early Monday morning, Reynolds posted an image to his official Instagram page of a white Avengers logo. A red anarchy symbol was drawn over the superhero team's logo. You can see the post below.
The cryptic post was put up without any accompanying caption, leaving fans to speculate on exactly what it means.

Not long after the names of the "Avengers: Doomsday" cast were revealed, Kevin Feige indicated there were more names likely to be added to the list.
Considering how prominently the multiverse will factor into the "Doomsday" story and how much it revolved around last year's "Deadpool & Wolverine," Reynolds Merc with a Mouth would seem like a natural fit.

It's also possible Reynolds' post refers not to "Doomsday," but to the 2027 follow-up "Avengers: Secret Wars." It would not be unlike the Russo brothers to save some of the Marvel heroes for the second film.
Fans will remember both Paul Rudd's Ant-Man and Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye were absent from 2018's "Avengers: Infinity War," but both proved pivotal to the 2019 follow-up "Avengers: Endgame."
If Reynolds does show up in either "Doomsday" or "Secret Wars," it could be the last time fans see Deadpool for a while. A recent report from Variety claimed that Marvel sees projects like "Deadpool 4" and "Blade" as low priorities.
The report is surprising considering the success of 2024's "Deadpool & Wolverine." The film pulled in $1.3 billion globally, giving Marvel the kinds of numbers it hasn't seen in a while, and is unlikely to see with "The Fantastic Four: First Steps."
"Avengers: Doomsday" is scheduled to hit theaters December 18, 2026. It is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, Pedro Pascal, and Robert Downey Jr.

The weekend dance party taking over Richmond's Fan District

A new nightlife series in The Fan has three simple rules: Dance, or don't come. Put your phones away. Share your cigs. Why it matters: Fan Service is about "creating sanctity around what Richmond was," its co-creator and longtime Richmonder Aaron Brown tells Axios. What to expect: DJ sets bumping everything from amapiano and reggaeton to dancehall, R&B and more. The events, for now, take place at either Brickwood Barbecue or TBT El Gallo. They announce them on Instagram. Those who plan to go RSVP via a Partiful invite. And when the event is at TBT, it's paired with $4 tacos. Context: Fan Service started back in March with DJ sets from Brown, Well-Made and Christopher Adkins, known as CAS. Brown tells Axios that after boomerang-ing back from a brief stint in New York City last year, he noticed the Fan's nightlife scene — where he got his start as a musician and built a community — felt dead. "So it's like, OK. How do we rebuild that?" Brown says. "How do we bring the essence of the Fan back?" The bottom line: "It's really a community thing," Brown says.

Now that's a big rock — what we know about Cristiano Ronaldo's gigantic engagement ring

Cristiano Ronaldo has proposed to his longtime girlfriend with a massive diamond engagement ring. The footballer's girlfriend, Argentine-Spanish model Georgina Rodriguez, announced the engagement in a Monday post on Instagram. She posted a picture of her hand with long, manicured nails — and a huge ring. Rodriguez captioned the post, "I do. In this and all my lives," written in Spanish. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Georgina Rodríguez (@georginagio) The central oval-shaped diamond was flanked on either side by two smaller diamonds. Anya Walsh, a jewelry specialist at London-based retailer 77 Diamonds, told The New York Times that she estimates the ring's weight was around 35 carats and costs at least $5 million. Ronaldo and Rodriguez have been dating since 2016. They met when Ronaldo walked into a Gucci store in Madrid, where Rodriquez, now 31, worked as a retail assistant. They share two daughters and raise them with Ronaldo's three children from a previous relationship. Their son, a twin of their younger daughter, was stillborn at birth. Ronaldo, 40, is a Portuguese football player who is the captain and forward of the Portuguese national team and Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr Football Club. Before joining Al-Nassr, he played for numerous other football clubs, including Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Juventus.

Millennial Charmed by 1800s Apartment, so She Buys It—Then Regret Sets In

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. A video of a Canadian woman living in Scotland sharing her regret over buying a 19th-century flat that turned out to have significant dampness problems has gone viral on TikTok. The video was posted by Tayce (@tayceomoni), a millennial mom in her 30s, and has amassed 112,000 views since it was shared on August 10. Text over the clip reads: "I just bought this 1800s flat and I hate it," before showing various parts of the two-bedroom property in a surrounding area of Glasgow, which she purchased on August 1. In the video, Tayce begins with a candid admission: "I made a huge mistake. I absolutely hate just bought a two-bedroom flat in Scotland, I was charmed by the high ceilings, the wood floors and the heritage vibes. Turns out I missed the fine print—it's actually really damp and that means it kind of smells moldy in my daughter's room." Speaking to Newsweek, Tayce explained her initial attraction to the property. "When I saw it, I loved the high ceilings, the old detailing and the wood floors. I love Victorian and Georgian homes. We decided to buy it due to the low cost and the opportunity to own an old flat," she said. I realized I hated it when I smelled the moldy or musty smell in one of the bedrooms that I hadn't noticed before." Her experience comes at a time when many home buyers face difficult housing decisions. According to a 2024 report from the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University, millions of Americans have been "priced out of the market by elevated home prices and interest rates." The report found that home prices surged in 97 of the top 100 markets, with especially steep increases in the northeast and Midwest regions. For Tayce, the reality of the property's condition quickly set in. "I had post home buying anxiety when the gravity of the amount of work needed hit me for real," she told Newsweek. "I felt like I wished I'd just bought something easier, even though I do admire how beautiful the flat is and can be. I'd like to change the room and bathroom the most." Her TikTok video shows the start of renovations in some parts of the home. She says in the clip: "So, we're living in chaos right now while we try to renovate this...I have no just pulling off the gonna go from there and pray for the best." Despite her frustration, Tayce maintains a sense of determination. In the video, she says: "You don't need to tell me how dumb I am because I already know. I feel terrible. I feel worthless. I'm in a major all-time low. But I will never stop being optimistic, so here goes trying to fix this..." Do you have a home interior-related video or story to share?
