Jonas Brothers to Star in Christmas Movie for Disney+

The Jonas Brothers are teaming up with Disney to produce and star in a Christmas comedy movie, slated for the 2025 holiday season.
In the movie, which has the working title 'Jonas Brothers Christmas Movie,' Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas 'face a series of escalating obstacles as they struggle to make it from London to New York in time to spend Christmas with their families,' per the logline.
Oscar winner Jessica Yu ('Quiz Lady' and 'This Is Us') will direct the movie, which hails from Disney Branded Television and Disney's 20th Television, and writer-producers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger ('I Want You Back,' 'This Is Us' and 'Love, Simon').
The Jonas Brothers produce alongside Adam Fishbach, Spencer Berman and Scott Morgan.
Grammy nominee Justin Tranter serves as executive music producer and will write original songs for the project.
The Jonas Brothers have a long history with the Mouse House. The pop rock trio behind hits like 'Year 3000,' 'Burnin' Up' and — more recently — 'Sucker' released their second album on Hollywood Records, a Disney-owned label.
The brothers then became a mainstay on Disney Channel and starred in the original movies 'Camp Rock' and its sequel.
They released two more albums on Hollywood Records and also led their own Disney Channel series titled 'Jonas.'
The band called it quits in 2013 and then reunited six years later with 'Sucker,' in 2019 which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the brothers' first No. 1 single. The subsequent album, 'Happiness Begins,' topped the Billboard 200.
In 2023, the Jonas Brothers released their sixth studio album, 'The Album.'

Yara Sameh Florence Pugh's latest starring role is in Yungblud's music video for his new track 'Zombie.' Released Friday, the Oscar-nominated actress leads the video as a medical professional struggling with the demands of her personal and professional life. Throughout, Yungblud sings about masking away pain and slipping into a zombie-like state while Pugh's performance delivers his lyrics. 'Oh, I know that I can't live without you / But this world will keep turning if you do / Would you even want me looking like a zombie? / Would you even want me, want me, want me?' he sings throughout the track. By the end of the video, a pair of angel wings appear on Pugh's shoulders. Of the track, Yunblud disclosed that 'Zombie' was 'written initially about my grandmother going through serious injury and trauma, leading her to become a different person to who she was before.' 'It's about the feeling of deterioration and ugliness; shutting out the world and the people we love out of the fear of becoming a burden or an embarrassment,' he said. 'We all want someone or something to comfort us no matter how we are right now or who we become in the future. But it's fucking scary.' Pugh recently starred in the MCU's latest movie "Thunderbolts*" where she led an 'unconventional team of antiheroes' alongside Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, Olga Kurylenko, Wyatt Russell, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The music video was directed by Charlie Sarsfield and produced by Untold Studios as part of the English singer's forthcoming album, Idols. 'Zombie' is the third release from the record, following 'Lovesick Lullaby' and 'Hello Heaven, Hello.' "Idols" arrives June 20 via Locomotion/Capitol Records. "Sukkar 2" Gets Streaming Date
Yara Sameh The second entry of the Egyptian family musical film "Sukkar" will make its streaming debut exclusively on the "Shahid" streaming platform on Friday, June 6. The film draws inspiration from U.S. writer Jean Webster's epistolary novel 'Daddy-Long-Legs' and is touted as the Arab world's first musical film in the Western canon. 'Sukkar' features singer Hala Turk, who rose to prominence after being an 'Arabs Got Talent' contestant in 2011, in the lead role alongside a wide range of new young talents from the Arab world. The cast also includes Magda Zaki, Mohamed Tharwat, Reham Elshanawany, Yasmina, Mohamed Harby, Moataz Hesham, and others. The official logline for the film reads:"A beautiful day turns disastrous when the city is struck by a chickenpox outbreak, affecting children and workers at the orphanage. While a doctor develops a vaccine, the children seek help from a magician. Amid these events, Sukkar receives an invitation to the annual circus, where she uncovers a truth that turns her life—and the lives of her friends—upside down." The first entry hit cinemas across the Middle East and North Africa on October 12, 2023 by Beirut-based Empire Entertainment, which is one of the region's top movie distributors. It is scripted by Kuwaiti writer Heba Mishari Hamadai, helmed by Egyptian director Tamer Mahdy, and produced by Saudi-owned broadcasting powerhouse MBC Group in its first. 'Sukkar' also features original songs penned by Hamada and scored by Egyptian composer Ehad Abdel Wahed. Here's Why Fans Think Taylor Swift Just Dropped a Major Hint about Her Next Album

According to sources, Shamrock sold Swift's catalog back to her for an amount relatively close to what they paid for it — which sources tell Billboard was around $360 million. 'I'm trying to gather my thoughts into something coherent, but right now my mind is just a slideshow,' Swift wrote in her message, emphasizing how meaningful the acquisition is to her. 'A flashback sequence of all the times I daydreamed about, wished for, and pined away for a chance to get to tell you this news.' But what caught fans' eye was what the 14-time Grammy winner wrote next. 'All the times I was thiiiiiiiiiiiis close, reaching out for it, only for it to fall through.' The statement may seem innocuous — and for all Swifties know, it is — but it's hard not to focus on the fact that she included no less than 12 'i's when writing out the word 'thiiiiiiiiiiiis.' Swift has released 11 albums in her career, the last of which, "The Tortured Poets Department", arrived in April 2023. That would make her next LP her 12th, a fact that has fans thinking she just teased the upcoming project with her note. 'THE LETTER HAS 12 I's TS12 IS COMING SOON TOO OMG IM SO HAPPY FOR TAYLOR,' one fan wrote on X , sharing a screenshot of the letter. 'IT'S A TS12 SUMMER!!!' another fan posted, while a third Swiftie shared a screenshot of the letter and wrote, 'I feel like ts12 just got so much closer.' The 12-count 'i' situation is just the latest suspected clue fans have picked up on ahead of the 'Fortnight' singer's predicted 12th album. Much fanfare was also made when Swift attended the 2025 Grammys wearing earrings with exactly 12 red jewels apiece, and in March, she used a sequence of 12 'D's when praising Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's I Said I Love You First album on Instagram. 'I LOVE THIS ALBUM SO MUCH OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDD,' Swift wrote on her Story at the time. Sharing screenshots of the earrings, the Gomez-Blanco post and the letter about her masters, one Swiftie wrote Friday, 'SUDDENLY LIFE IS WORTH LIVING TS12 TRUTHERS RISE.' But while fans may be excited about the prospect of Swift's 12th album coming soon, it's just one of many things they are celebrating. Social media has seen an outpouring of Swifties rejoicing over the musician finally owning her life's work, something she wrote in her letter is her 'greatest dream come true.' The sale comes six years of publicly feuding with Borchetta and Braun over the way the original sale was handled, as well as the re-releases of four of her first six albums: "Fearless", "Speak Now", "Red", and "1989". In her letter, Swift emphasized how thankful she was to fans for sticking with her every step of the way. 'You'll never know how much it means to me that you cared,' she wrote.
