Asit Modi Reveals Dilip Joshi, Munmun Dutta NOT Quitting TMKOC: 'Aise Koi Baat Nahi Hai'
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, one of the most popular television shows, has been making headlines recently — and for all the wrong reasons. It all started after reports claiming that the show's leads, Dilip Joshi (aka Jethalal) and Munmun Dutta (aka Babita Ji), have left the show. However, the show's maker, Asit Kumarr Modi, has now broken his silence on the matter and shut down all such rumours.
In an interview with Moneycontrol, Asit Modi called the news fake and untrue. He shared, 'As you know, social media these days has become so negative that you should try to keep a positive mindset. And Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is a completely positive show. It's a family show that spreads happiness. So some people should think positively about it. It's not right to spread rumours over small things or say anything inappropriate. That's not a good thing."
Explaining why the two actors have been absent from the recent episodes, Asit added, 'Lekin kuch nahi hai, sab log hamari team ka part hai. Kuch unke personal reasons the to us time nahi the. To aise koi baat nahi hai." (But there's nothing like that, everyone is part of our team. They were not present at that time due to some personal reasons. So, there's no such issue.)
Earlier today, Munmun Dutta also clarified that she isn't quitting Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The actress — who plays the role of Babita Ji — took to her Instagram handle and posted a video from the sets of the show. In the clip, she was seen shooting for an upcoming scene. The video also offered a glimpse of Iyer's house along with some behind-the-scenes footage from Munmun's makeup room.
In the caption of the video, Munmun clarified that she is still a part of TMKOC, 'Rumours are always not true 😉 😎 #munmundutta #workmodeon #tmkoc"
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been running successfully for 17 years now. However, over the years, several actors have left the show. Among them are Disha Vakani, Jheel Mehta, Bhavya Gandhi, Raj Anadkat, Palak Sindhwani, Gurucharan Singh Sodhi, and Neha Mehta — all of whom are no longer part of TMKOC.
