Gazzetta Dello Sport reported: 'In these first weeks of work, Gasperini has alternated him with Evan Ferguson, the Irish striker who arrived from Brighton and who Gasp, including in training, likes a lot.'
Albion appear to have an array of potential departures before the transfer window closes, be it permanent or on loan.
Julio Enciso is among them and has been linked with various clubs as he races to get fit after knee surgery during the summer.

Fans of Yorkshire football club offered discounted rail tickets
Northern has offered football fans in North Yorkshire discounted travel after their club was forced to find a new home ground for the season. Scarborough Athletic FC reached the agreement with the rail operator after being forced to play home games away from its usual ground due to subsidence issues. The club has temporarily relocated home fixtures to Bridlington Town's ground, 17 miles away. Kerry Peters, regional director for Northern in Yorkshire, said: "We know just how important this football club is to the local community so when they approached us and explained the situation, we were happy to help. "We're now encouraging supporters to take advantage of this offer, so they can save money when they travel to see their side play this season." The National League North side approached Northern and other transport providers to explore the possibility of discounted travel to help fans reach the temporary venue. In response, Northern is offering a 25 per cent off Advanced Purchase tickets for supporters travelling to games. Codes for discounted tickets can be requested by Scarborough Athletic members and season pass holders through the club. Trevor Bull, chairman at Scarborough Athletic, said: "It has been a really difficult summer since we got the news that we would be unable to use our ground this season. ‘It does help attract players': U's boss on new stadium plans
GARY Rowett believes the proposed new Oxford United stadium can have a positive impact on the club's transfer recruitment. United's plans for a 16,000-capacity ground at The Triangle, south of Kidlington Roundabout, were granted planning permission at a Cherwell District Council planning committee meeting last week. The application will now be referred to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government – the Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner – a standard procedure for large-scale applications. 'My ultimate aim is to help this club': Spurs loanee on life with U's U's head coach Rowett said: 'Myself and Ed [Waldron, head of football operations] when we've presented to new players, Ed has shown them a little bit of a video of what the stadium will look like. 'It is exciting and does make a new player feel as though this is a club that's moving forward in a different way. 'We know that's still potentially a little bit way down the line, but at the same time, it becomes not just a video. 'It becomes a real place where this an opportunity to really start moving forward with that project. 'It does help attract players. The closer you get to that being a reality will be even more powerful along the way as well.' He added: 'It's hovered around for a while. The players will have seen that the club may not have a future if they don't get the stadium. 'You don't know sometimes. That has a different effect on the players. U's boss reiterates need for new signings with added physicality
GARY Rowett has reiterated that Oxford United must sign players with added physicality if they are to be competitive again in Sky Bet Championship this season. The U's finished 17th in the second tier during the previous campaign, with Rowett taking over as head coach in December following the sacking of Des Buckingham. But the division is widely anticipated to be even tougher this season, with the promoted sides from League One expected to perform strongly. Birmingham City, who United visit on Saturday, and Charlton Athletic have both picked up four points from their opening two Championship matches, and although Wrexham have lost both of their games, there were late goals in their defeats to Southampton and West Bromwich Albion. 'We have to help them by signing players that can do that, and I think to a certain degree, we have, but I thought it just looked like a game where we couldn't quite get there in some of those moments, and when you are deep, you need a lot of energy and quality. 'Maybe you work so hard defensively in those moments, and of course sometimes you don't have quite the same zip about you when you win the ball back. 'That is the gulf between League One and the Championship. We managed that gulf last year just about. 'We know that this season, the level of the division has gone up, and it's as simple as that.' United have so far added five players during the summer transfer window.
