It's been nearly 30 years since Jennifer Love Hewitt hit the red carpet for I Know What You Did Last Summer back in 1997. Well, she's back for the latest installment in the franchise, but some people gave her a hard time for not looking like her teenage self during the original premiere.
On Monday, Jennifer attended the Los Angeles premiere of her American slasher film at The United Theater on Broadway with her cast members, including Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders, Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, Sarah Pidgeon, and Gabriette Bechtel.
The 46-year-old actor reprised her role of Julie James in the iconic thriller. Fans will also be happy to see some other members of the original cast, like Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.

The character of Julie James was initially introduced to audiences in the late '90s when Jennifer was just 18 years old.
But when photos dropped of Jennifer enjoying the event in an ankle-length, beaded black spaghetti-strap dress, she was bombarded with negative comments about her physical appearance, specifically comparing her current body shape to how they remembered her looking in her late teens and early twenties. Jennifer is now married with three children.
If you aren't familiar with her lore or just old enough to know, Jennifer grew up to be one of America's sweethearts. She was viewed as a teen idol when she landed the role of Sarah Reeves Merrin in Party of Five. Although she was just 16 when she joined the cast, it didn't take long for Hollywood and the media to begin sexualizing her image. Jennifer has opened up about uncomfortable moments with TV hosts, who would openly talk about her breasts when she was a teenager.
She also reflected on being viewed as the "hot girl" in movies and automatically being thrown in the "sex symbol" category at such a young age. Jennifer had no control over the public perception that was placed upon her and her body.
And unfortunately, that sentiment still rings true, except this time, instead of highlighting her looks, now people are trying to tear her down. Some people just can't comprehend that all of our bodies go through changes as we get older, and that could mean weight, wrinkles, and white hair. Everyone ages differently, but public figures, specifically women, are always demonized and criticized for going through life's natural aging process.

Jennifer looks happy and healthy, and that's all that matters to me. It's exhausting how often women's bodies are policed, and I just wish people would keep their negative comments to themselves, because instead of being helpful, it only causes hurt.

David Roach, the frontman for popular heavy metal rock band Junkyard, got hitched to his fiancée, Jennifer, amid the rock star's ongoing battle with cancer. Junkyard shared an Instagram post on Sunday, July 20 capturing the wedding with the description, 'Congratulations to the happy couple — Mr. and Mrs. David Patrick Roach." Roach's child, Ray, also posted about the wedding on Instagram with the caption, 'Did you know that you can get a free wedding venue if you just do it in the cancer center lobby after hours? Welcome to the Roach fam Jennifer!' The members of Junkyard attended the ceremony as well, according to both Instagram posts. Roach wrote in a Jan. 21 Instagram post that he was 'going through a medical issue that I'll be dealing with for at least a few more months.' Junkyard later announced in a Jan. 31 Instagram post that Roach was hit with 'an aggressive cancer diagnosis.' The singer was admitted to the hospital last month after experiencing a persistent fever and cough. 'We're still struggling to process the news we received on Tuesday,' a June 26 Instagram post from Roach and Jennifer read. 'We got results that have completely shattered our world. It's devastating and life-altering, and we're trying to navigate through the emotions and uncertainty that come with it.' Despite this uncertainty, Roach was 'showing such incredible strength and resilience,' according to the Instagram post. 'Even in the midst of this darkness, he's still managing to keep his sense of humor,' the post continued. 'It's a reminder of how amazing he is.' The band started donating a portion of every sale of their merchandise to help pay for Roach's medical expenses. The singer was also selling his plaque art to cover the cost of bills. Additionally, a GoFundMe was created in March to help the musician combat 'the financial strain from medical expenses and daily living costs.' The campaign has raised more than $35,000 to date. 'Your support means the world to David, and it will truly help him through this difficult period,' the GoFundMe reads. 'Thank you so much for showing him the love and kindness he deserves!' Junkyard formed in Los Angeles, California in 1987. The band, which is often compared to Guns N' Roses, possesses a 'raw and bluesy hard rock' sound 'with a metal accent and roots in hardcore punk,' according to AllMusic. Junkyard released four studio albums from 1989 to 1998 before going on hiatus. However, the members regrouped a few years later. Junkyard released its first new studio album in almost 20 years, 'High Water' in 2017, as well as their latest singles, 'Lifer' and 'Last of a Dying Breed,' in 2021. Sydney Sweeney's new collaboration with the fashion brand American Eagle has become the centre of a whole lot of debate. The Euphoria star unveiled a new campaign with the American clothing brand last week, to promote their line of denim last week. However, it didn't take long before social media clips to promote the deal sparked a wave of discomfort among many critics, largely due to some of the language that's used in the campaign. This is the story so far… What is Sydney Sweeney's new ad campaign for American Eagle all about? For American Eagle's autumn 2025 campaign, Sydney Sweeney can be seen sporting items from the brand's denim range, including a new pair of jeans inspired by her. The campaign also makes use of the slogan 'Sydney Sweeney has great jeans', a pun on the term 'great genes'. In another, she explains: 'Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair colour, personality and even eye colour.' 'My jeans are blue,' she then quips, at which point a narrator delivers the line: 'Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.' Why are some people upset about Sydney Sweeney's new ads for American Eagle? Unfortunately this repeated use of the slogan 'great jeans', a pun on 'great genes', has put some viewers in mind of the language used by white supremacists and eugenicists. By centring a blonde, white star in a campaign referencing 'genes', some critics are accusing the brand of tone-deafness at best – particularly in the current political climate – and deliberately pushing a white supremacist agenda at worst. HuffPost UK has contacted representatives for both Sydney Sweeney and American Eagle for comment. Others are pointing out that Sydney Sweeney's American Eagle campaign doesn't mention one other important aspect of the product American Eagle's new 'Sydney Jean' features a butterfly detail on its back pocket, in a nod to domestic violence awareness, a cause which the White Lotus star has championed throughout her career. In fact, an American Eagle press release confirmed that '100% of the purchase price from 'The Sydney Jean' will be donated to Crisis Text Line', a charity in the US which aims to help those affected by domestic violence. However, the ads are also being criticised for not highlighting this key part of the campaign, with some saying its accompanying slogan is even more jarring as a result.
