
Admin assistant pleads not guilty to asking intern to shave his pubic hair
Mohamad Aznee Osman, 37, was accused of committing the act on a 23-year-old intern at 1.58pm at a government office here on April 4.
The administrative assistant entered his plea after the charge was read out to him before magistrate Farah Nabihah Muhamad Dan.
He faces up to five years' jail, a fine, or both upon conviction under Section 509 of the Penal Code.
Clad in a black jacket and grey trousers, the father of three who was unrepresented, appeared calm as he stood near the dock during proceedings.
Prosecuting officer Inspector M. Alli Nangai offered bail at RM5,000 with one surety.
She also requested the court to fix a date for document submission and the appointment of counsel.
However, a National Legal Aid Foundation representative appealed for a lower bail amount.
"The accused earns RM2,000 a month and is the sole breadwinner of his family.
"His wife is unemployed, and they have three children, one of whom is disabled.
"The bail should be reasonable and not punitive."
Farah Nabihah set bail at RM2,500 with one surety.
"I want to remind the accused not to harass any witnesses in this case, especially the victim.
"If there are complaints, bail will be revoked," she said.

Magistrate Nurul Rasyidah Mohd Akit set bail at RM5,000 in one surety. The case was fixed for mention on Sept 4.

Hulu Selangor district police chief Supt Ibrahim Husin said the victim's identity has yet to be determined, and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. "There were strangulation marks on the victim's neck, believed to have been caused by a rope. The marks are suspected to match the rope (resembling a chain) worn around the victim's neck,' he said in a statement today. The man's body was discovered by a member of the public at around 10.30 am yesterday, with his hands and feet bound, and his head wrapped in cloth and secured with black and white tape. According to Ibrahim, preliminary investigations suggest the body was likely thrown off the Kampung Sungai Serian bridge, which is 11.15 metres high. Checks also revealed that the victim had been dead for more than four days, and no identification documents were found on him. Four-year-old boy falls to death from 8th-storey window in Klang
KLANG: A four-year-old boy died after he fell out of an eight-floor flat unit on Friday (Aug 1) morning. According to South Klang deputy OCPD Supt Kamalariffin Aman Shah said the incident occurred at the Port Klang Perantau Flats' Block J. "At the time of the incident, the boy's father was at his workplace, and the mother was out of the house sending her second child to the babysitters. "The victim is believed to have fallen out of a window of his home on the eighth floor," said Supt Kamalariffin. He added that police received a distress call reporting the incident from a woman at 8am. According to Supt Kamalariffin, the victim was rushed to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital here for emergency treatment and pronounced dead during treatment. He said the post-mortem results indicated that the victim had suffered head injuries as a result of falling from a height. He also added that police opened an investigation under Section 31 (1) of the Child Act 2001 for child neglect, which comes with a jail term of not more than 20 years and a fine not exceeding RM50,000. "The police are urging members of the public, with other information pertaining to this incident, to go to the nearest police station or contact the South Klang police at 03-33762222 to help with the investigations," he said.
