Broncos sending scouts to RB Devin Neal's pro day
The Denver Broncos are taking a close look at Kansas running back Devin Neal ahead of the 2025 NFL draft.
After previously meeting with Neal at the Senior Bowl and again at the NFL combine, the Broncos are now sending scouts to his pro day, according to the Denver Post's Luca Evans.
The Big 12 is hosting a joint pro day featuring 16 schools in Texas from March 18-21, so the Broncos will undoubtedly be scouting multiple prospects at that mega pro day, but Evans noted that multiple scouts will be there specifically to watch Neal.
Neal (5-11, 213 pounds) ran a 40-yard dash in 4.58 seconds and a 10-yard split in 1.59 seconds at the combine. He finished his time at Kansas with a school-record 4,343 rushing yards and 49 rushing touchdowns. NFL mock drafts now have him projected as a fourth-round prospect.
The Broncos hold seven draft picks this year, including No. 122 in the fourth round. The 2025 NFL draft will be held in Wisconsin from April 24-26.

Aaron Rodgers-Arthur Smith Combo Poised to be a Perfect Match

Aaron Rodgers-Arthur Smith Combo Poised to be a Perfect Match originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Pittsburgh Steelers haven't won a playoff game since January 2017, but Aaron Rodgers is looking to change that. Advertisement The four-time MVP winner has made a career of completing impressive throws at a routine rate. Whether it be on the run, with a defender in his face, or with a unique arm angle, Rodgers' arm is still dangerous, even at age 41. He threw for 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions for the New York Jets last season. Although throwing to star wide receivers Davante Adams and Garret Wilson played a huge role in that production, he might be able to do something similar in a much different offense. Offensive coordinator Arthur Smith brings a run-heavy style, prioritizing a physical offense with a strong ground game. It sets up opportunities for play-action and bootleg schemes, emphasizing big passing plays. Misdirection, tight end engagement, and quarterback reads are key components of his system, which enable him to exploit defenses who are looking to stop the run. Advertisement According to Steelers analyst Derrick Bell, Arthur Smith's offense ran the sixth most designed bootleg plays in 2024, something Rodgers excelled at, throwing for 283 yards and four touchdowns on those concepts. Rodgers' elite accuracy and quick decision-making should make for a strong connection under this scheme. His ability to read defenses and extend plays with strong pocket movement complements Smith's approach. The Steelers playmakers might not be as potent as New York's last year, but throwing to DK Metcalf and relying on Jaylen Warren and rookie Kaleb Johnson in the run game are great options to have. Advertisement It's a massive season for the Steelers, and the duo of Rodgers and Smith could potentially give Pittsburgh their best offense in multiple seasons. Kyler Murray must avoid interceptions in 2025

Kyler Murray must avoid interceptions in 2025 Kyler Murray made mistakes not far removed from the memory of Cardinals fans in 2024. Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray threw a total of 11 interceptions in 2024, a major component in the team's late-season collapse. Several of Murray's turnovers were a result of pure improbability, broken plays, or pressured throws where taking the sack may have been the lesser of two evils. Expectedly, offensive coordinator Drew Petzing has likely shown Murray his transgressions on film, hopefully in a constructive way to motivate and build on the positives Murray has shown. However, it is only expedient to hold Murray accountable. Eight of Murray's 11 interceptions came after week 10, in the latter half of the NFL season. Yet, the NFC West was wide open for the taking. The San Francisco 49ers were treading backwards with liabilities versus the run, the Los Angeles Rams were struggling to defend the pass, and the Seahawks were inconsistent due to struggles from quarterback Geno Smith. Yet, Murray and company simply fumbled what seemed to be a promising season. Ultimately, it is clear that Murray wants to win because his efforts are indicative. Murray ranked No. 7 in the NFL in with a completion percentage of 68.8 last season and tallied 21 passing touchdowns with five rushing touchdowns. However, those slight hiccups put a blemish on what may help the Cardinals finally conquer the NFC West in 2025. Titans' Rookie Turns Heads With Performance at Minicamp

Titans' Rookie Turns Heads With Performance at Minicamp originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Tennessee Titans made several major changes this offseason under new general manager Mike Borgonzi. The longtime Kansas City Chiefs executive has seen success first-hand, and he overhauled the Titans' roster in his first year at the helm. Advertisement While rookie quarterback Cam Ward is the headliner of Tennessee's new additions ahead of the 2025 NFL season, the Titans also added a handful of exciting pass-catchers for the young signal-caller. Not only did Borgonzi sign veteran wideouts Tyler Lockett and Van Jefferson before the 2025 NFL Draft, but he drafted two wide receivers and a tight end in the fourth round. Tennessee Titans tight end Gunnar Helm (84).Steve Roberts-Imagn Images While drafted wide receivers Chimere Dike and Elic Ayomanor have garnered much of the hype throughout OTAs, it was actually rookie tight end Gunnar Helm who drew attention at Tuesday's mandatory minicamp. "Ward had a BEAUTIFUL throw up the seam to Gunnar Helm," Parker Kelley wrote. "Helm mossed the linebacker who was in coverage." Advertisement "GUNNAR HELM WILL BE TE1!!" TicTacTitans posted. "I think Gunnar Helm is going to be good. Really good," a fan said. "You heard it here first." Tennessee Titans tight end Gunnar Helm (84).Aaron E. Martinez/Austin American-Statesman / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images "Gunnar Helm continues to convert on contested catches, looked good," JT Ruhnke added. "GUNNAR HELM!!!!" TicTacTitans chimed in. "I told y'all he is gonna be TE1 in snaps this season. Total package!!" "He's gonna start sooner rather than later," one fan responded. Helm played collegiately at Texas and was taken with the No. 120 overall pick in this year's draft. While it will be an uphill battle to outperform veteran tight end Chig Okonkwo this offseason, the young player is clearly making strides. Advertisement He was Quinn Ewers' top target for the Longhorns over the last several seasons, and he caught 60 passes for 786 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior at Texas. Ward will certainly need a variety of offensive pieces to rely on as a rookie, and he may have already found one in Helm.
