What's WWCOTY?
Women's Worldwide Car of the Year is the only car awards group in the world comprised exclusively of women motoring journalists. It was created by New Zealand motoring journalist Sandy Myhre in 2009. She is Honorary President while Marta Garcia is Executive President.
This unique award aims to recognize the best cars of the year and to give a voice to women in the automotive world. The voting criteria are based on the same principles that guide any driver when choosing a car. The swearers do not select a 'woman's car' because cars are not gender specific.
Aspects such as safety, quality, price, design, ease of driving, benefits and environmental footprint, among others, are considered when casting the votes.
The Women's Worldwide Car of the Year is present on all five continents. 82 female judges from 55 countries vote for the best car of the year from their professional point of view.
Why WWCOTY?
Significant value also means equal representation. The voice of women should be heard! Women play an important role in the purchase of a car, not just for themselves in significant numbers but as influencers in family car buying decisions.
Different approach and focus on cars. Women looks at cars differently. They are more oriented towards aspects such as safety, quality, price, design, ease of driving, benefits and environmental footprint.
Although the number of drivers is comparable to men drivers in many countries around the world, women are poorly represented in car awards. That is the reason, of course, why WWCOTY was formed - to give women that important voice.
For WWCOTY, all three qualities are powerful and embraced in WWCOTY Award. Our common goal is not to choose the best car for women, but to attract their attention as to our collective opinion.

Watch: Who left the dog in the car? Viral video sparks outrage in Andheri West

In the middle of Mumbai's daily traffic struggles, a recent incident from Andheri West has drawn sharp reactions online– not just for the traffic disruption it caused, but for the strange sight it revealed. A red hatchback, parked right in the centre of a busy road near Lokhandwala market, brought vehicles to a standstill. But what turned the situation into a talking point was what people saw through the car window: a husky, quietly seated in the driver's seat of the locked vehicle. Video shared online shows dog inside parked car The incident came to light after a video was posted on Instagram by local community page @andheriloca, where a person can be seen approaching the car and spotting the dog sitting alone inside. The number plate of the vehicle was blurred in the clip, which quickly gained traction online. The caption of the post read: 'Car parked right in the middle of Lokhandwala Main Market, causing major inconvenience. Shockingly, a pet dog was left sitting on the driver's seat. This kind of careless and irresponsible parking deserves the choicest of punishment.' Owner's identity not confirmed yet There was no sign of the car's owner at the location, and the identity of the person responsible for leaving the dog unattended remains unknown. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like When Knee Pain Hits, Start Eating These Foods, and Feel Your Pain Go Away (It's Genius) Read More Undo The Times of India has not independently verified the authenticity of the video. Watch the video here: Netizens express concern over irresponsible parking Several social media users criticised the vehicle owner for blocking traffic and leaving the pet locked inside. Many said the incident reflects a wider problem across Mumbai. One user wrote, 'Sadly, this is the state of the entire Mumbai. People just park anywhere, leaving very little space to drive. There's traffic everywhere from the last 1-2 years because of this. No action is taken by the traffic police.' Another advised concerned citizens to take action, commenting, 'Take a photo and upload it to the Mumbai Traffic App. The challan will be issued against the offence.' Public questions decision to blur number plate The decision to blur the vehicle's registration number also sparked debate. Several users said it defeated the purpose of documenting such violations. One person wrote, 'Why did you blur the car's registration number? No point making these videos then. The irresponsible driver should have been reported to the traffic police.' A separate comment read, 'The iconic Lokhandwala road, where you can learn the art of not following traffic rules, especially when it comes to blocking traffic. A real-life anti-parking game.' No official response so far At the time of writing, no formal complaint had been reported, and no official statement had been issued by the traffic department regarding the matter. The video continues to be shared across platforms, with users raising questions about public accountability, civic sense, and the safety of the pet left inside.

From barbecue to ice baths — Antonio Felix Da Costa reveals how he's unwinding after Formula E season

Antonio Felix Da Costa (Image credit: Instagram) Antonio Felix Da Costa was comfortably sitting in third position in the Formula E Driver Standings for weeks but was eventually overtaken by Taylor Barnard, Nick Cassidy, and then his own teammate Pascal Wehrlein in the final leg of the championship. The TAG Heuer Porsche driver still has plenty to rejoice in, having contributed to his team's victory in the Teams' and Manufacturers' Championships. He is now in relaxation mode and has shared a glimpse of how he's spending his free time. Antonio Felix Da Costa shows a glimpse of his off-season activities Taking to his Instagram Stories, Antonio Felix Da Costa shared a picture of his home, where he organized a barbecue session on the porch. He is seen getting into an ice bath in his garden area, after which he immediately steps into a custom sauna chamber built in the same space. Ice baths help reduce inflammation and speed up recovery, whereas saunas relieve tension and promote relaxation. Antonio Felix Da Costa's performance in Season 11 Antonio Felix Da Costa and teammate Pascal Wehrlein led Porsche to win the Teams' and Manufacturers' World Championships. In the Drivers' Championship, he eventually finished fifth by the end of Season 11. Reflecting on his slip from the top three in the Formula E Championship, he wrote on Instagram, 'The dream of the championship ended last week. I dreamed, I dreamed big and so did you. Apparently, it was the year of '2nd places.' Seems like I'm in the wrong place at the wrong time too often. Three wins lost in the last laps because of safety cars, a few mistakes — my mixture. The season could have been so different, but that's what it is in sport, and the bad moments, if used well, are the best thing we have. ' Also Read: Pascal Wehrlein celebrates Formula E Season 11 milestones as Porsche clinches Teams' and Manufacturers' titles In Formula E Season 11, Antonio Felix Da Costa earned four podiums, though none of them was a Grand Prix win.
