Licensed Surveyor Training Begins in Jogulamba Gadwal to Resolve Land Disputes and Enhance Rural Employment
Gadwal: Gadwal District Collector B.M. Santosh emphasized that the introduction of licensed surveyors will not only help resolve land disputes efficiently but also create new employment opportunities in rural areas.
He made these remarks on Monday while participating in a training program for licensed surveyors held at the MPDO office in the district headquarters.
Addressing the gathering, the Collector highlighted the Telangana State Government's flagship initiative—Bhoobharathi Land Rights Record Act, 2025—which has been implemented to streamline the resolution of land-related issues. As part of the government's efforts to offer better services to landowners and farmers, trained and licensed surveyors are being brought into the system.
Under the Bhoobharathi Act, it has become mandatory to conduct a land survey and attach the relevant map for processes such as land registration and mutation. In this regard, the government has initiated the selection and training of licensed surveyors to meet the new legal requirements.
The Collector informed that 281 candidates across the district will undergo a 50-day training program starting from May 26, organized by the Department of Survey and Land Records. The training includes both theoretical sessions and fieldwork, ensuring participants gain practical skills necessary for accurate land surveys.
He advised the trainees to take full advantage of the opportunity, stressing that field performance depends on a clear understanding of theoretical concepts. Daily attendance is mandatory, and there will be no holidays during the training period. A final examination will be conducted at the end of the training, and those who pass will be awarded Licensed Surveyor Certificates.
Collector Santosh encouraged all participants to make the most of this opportunity, noting that the deployment of licensed surveyors will significantly reduce land disputes and provide valuable livelihood options for people in rural communities.

YADADRIBHUVANAGIRI: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stones for a slew of development works totalling Rs 1,051.45 crore in the Alair Assembly constituency, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district on Friday. The projects aim to significantly boost infrastructure and public amenities in the region. Among the major projects for which foundation stones were laid is the Gandhamalla reservoir, a crucial undertaking with an estimated cost of Rs 574.56 crore. The CM also initiated the construction of a Young India Residential School, a project valued at Rs 200 crore, emphasising the government's focus on education and a medical college building at a cost of Rs 183 crore, promising enhanced healthcare facilities for the area. Further development initiatives include comprehensive works within Yadagirigutta Municipality, encompassing the construction of water, drainage, CC and BT roads, all to be taken up at a cost of Rs 25.50 crore. Connectivity will also see a boost with the construction of a high-level bridge in Kolanupaka village and Kalvapalli village costing Rs 7.50 crore and Rs 6 crore respectively. Administrative infrastructure will be strengthened in Motakondur mandal with the construction of Tahsildar, MPDO offices and a police station, a combined project costing Rs 8.25 crore. To support the agricultural sector, foundation stones were laid for 20,000 metric tonne capacity godowns in Datarpally village with an outlay of Rs 22.75 crore and 2,500 metric tonne capacity godowns in Aleru Market Committee at a cost of Rs 2.75 crore. Road infrastructure across the Alair Assembly segment will also see improvement with the construction of BT roads costing Rs 21.14 crore.

Foreign banks ready to give loans to Visakha and Vijayawada metro rail projects: Metro Rail MD
Vijayawada: The State government has been making efforts to put both the Visakha and Vijaya metro rail projects on fast track and as part of it called for tenders for appointment of general consultant. As part of the initiative, the State government focusing on getting loans for grounding of the metro rail projects. It is estimated that both the metro rail projects cost Rs 12,000 crore including Vijayawada metro Rs 5,900 crore and Visakha metro rail Rs 6,100 crore. The AP Metro rail corporation MD Ramakrishna Reddy started consulting various banks to get the loans. At this juncture several foreign banks are coming forward to fund for the metro rail projects in the State. As part of it, Metro rail corporation MD Ramakrishna Reddy discussed with AIIB bank representatives Santosh and Paskal Russel in his office last evening. Earlier the AIIB bank delegation inspected the metro corridors project sites at field level. It may be noted that the Vijayawada metro rail project starts from RTC bus stand to Gannavaram at a stretch of 26 km and also from RTC bus stand to Penamaluru at a stretch of 12 km. The AIIB is in favour of sanctioning loan for the metro rail project. In addition the KFW bank of Germany and AFD bank of France, Jaika bank of Japan and World Bank also coming forward to extend loans to the metro rail projects according to Metro rail MD. He said that they are going to discuss with banks which are going to sanction loans at lesser interest rate.
