
12,000 spl trains for Bihar during festival season
The railways has also decided to run a new Vande Bharat train from Purnia to Patna and four new Amrit Bharat Express trains from Bihar and give an experimental 20% discount on return journeys for travel between Oct 13 and 26 and Nov 17 and Dec 1, railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced in Delhi on Wednesday.
A ring railway network will also be built around Patna, Vaishnaw said while making the announcements through a video message in the presence of Union minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, Bihar deputy CM Samrat Choudhary and MPs Sanjay Kumar Jha and Sanjay Jaiswal. He announced Amrit Bharat trains connecting Gaya to Delhi, Saharsa to Amritsar, Chhapra to Delhi and Muzaffarpur to Hyderabad.
He also said a Buddha Circuit train will run from Vaishali to Koderma via Hajipur, Patna, Rajgir and Gaya besides a new Ayodhya-Patna train.
Railways will lay third and fourth lines between Buxar and Lakhisarai to ease traffic on the main route.
Deputy CM Choudhary thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and railway minister for giving a big gift of railways to Bihar on the occasion of Diwali and Chhath. He said on the special request of CM Nitish Kumar, in view of the problems faced by the passengers coming to and going from Bihar, the railways has decided to run 12,000 special trains.

Bihar to get another Vande Bharat train soon
Indian Railways, Vande Bharat Express: The Ministry of Railways is preparing to launch another Vande Bharat Express train for Bihar soon. The semi-high-speed train has been designed to cut travel time between major cities while improving regional connectivity. Presently, 150 services of this ultra-modern trains are operating across the country. Now, the national transporter has decided to roll out another Vande Bharat train soon for the state. This new semi-high-speed train will run between Purnia and Patna Junction railway station. This train will be operated and maintained by the East Central Railway (ECR) zone. Currently, 26 services of Vande Bharat Express trains are operational in the state. Passenger Reservation System can book 25,000 tickets per minute: Ashwini Vaishnaw
Advt Ticket booking through mobile application By , ETInfra The Indian Railways has begun a full upgradation of its Passenger Reservation System (PRS), which at present books around 25,000 tickets per minute, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw informed the Lok Sabha on a written reply, Vaishnaw said capacity enhancement and technological upgradation form a continuous process within the Railways. 'Presently, the booking capacity of the current PRS is about 25,000 tickets per minute,' he minister said the upgradation covers replacement and improvement of hardware, software, network equipment, security infrastructure and functionalities using new technology. 'The new system is designed for more than four times the present capacity,' he project has been sanctioned at a cost of ₹182 also updated the House on measures taken in booking web applications. He said the Railways recently launched the RailOne mobile app, which allows passengers to book both reserved and unreserved tickets.'This, in effect, brings the PRS facility to the passengers' palms,' Vaishnaw said.
