Shakti Mohan recalls her bike accident at age 4, doctors said she ‘won't be able to walk ever': ‘Mom suggested plastic surgery for my leg scars, who will marry her?'
Speaking about the horrific road accident, the dancer said, 'I was crossing the street across my house in Delhi. I was getting Mukti from the nursery school and I was so excited to show her something that I started running and a bike ran over my leg. My leg and back was broken so badly that the doctors told my parents that she won't be able to ever walk in life. I was 4 years old. It broke brutally and I still have marks over my legs. I remember it very clearly. I could not even sit up for seven months.'

As a child, Shakti Mohan had no idea about what was going on and her mom was the driving force to motivate her to walk later on. She shared, 'My mom now says that 'Of course, doctor said that you were not supposed to walk, because you were supposed to fly.' Full filmy family! I slowly started to walk after 6-7 months. My mom never gave up, she made me do it. I was so little. I didn't even know what has happened to me. I was just happy that I didn't have to go to school and people were giving me chocolates on home visits.'
However, Shakti added that her mother, influenced by societal pressure, initially suggested plastic surgery for the scars, but she never wanted to proceed with it. 'I had some people say that 'Who will marry you with these scars?' I didn't care. I didn't even think about it. Then, my parents used to think that there are too many people who have conservative thoughts ki 'Inki toh shaadi karvaani hai.' My mom said that we will get her plastic surgery done. I never thought of it, didn't want it. I own my scars, I love it,' she said.

Rekha says she ‘found a daughter in Vidya Balan', Parineeta was the first film she ever auditioned for: ‘Vidhu Vinod Chopra said you are out if you don't audition'
Actress Vidya Balan and Saif Ali Khan's film Parineeta completed 20 years. To celebrate the milestone, the film's producer, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, hosted a special screening in Mumbai on Monday. The event was attended by Vidya Balan, Rekha, Diya Mirza, and others. While Vidya and Rekha's interaction at the screening won over the internet, Rekha even went on to share an amazing trivia on how she auditioned for this film for the first time in her career. At the event, she thanked everyone for joining them and showed such a lovely response to the film after 20 years and said, 'This is something we never imagined, we prayed for it, and deep down I knew it, but I never knew that I'd be alive to see this day.' Rekha later went on to share a trivia about bagging the song in Parineeta and said, 'This was the first film in my life, I ever gave an audition for. I didn't even know what it meant back then. Vidhu Vinod Chopra told me that if you don't audition, you are out. Honestly, I am here because of Vidya. When I asked Vidhu who was in the film, he told me Saif, Sanjay, and Vidya, and I asked, 'Who is this Vidya?' Then he said he will send me some footage and I should see it, and only if I felt like doing the film, I should do it. He sent me the song, I saw it, and called up Farazanaji and told her we are doing this film.' She was there already before she was born, she was Parineeta. I didn't know the film was made earlier too, for me Parineeta is Vidya Balan. I gained a daughter in Vidya, throughout the making of Kaisi Paheli she sat there without flinching her eyes. After the whole song was done, she came to my vanity van, held my hand and kissed it, saying she has learned so much. But seeing this film, I want to say today, I don't think I have learned as much as I learned watching her.' In a few paparazzi videos, Vidya Balan was seen sharing a warm hug with Rekha on the red carpet and even during the event. She touched Rekha's feet, winning over the internet. Coolie Box Office Collection Day 5: Rajinikanth's film registers 65 percent drop on Monday as it falls behind Saiyaara and Jailer; fares better than War 2
Coolie Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 5: Demonstrating yet again that he is the ultimate 'Superstar' of Indian cinema, Rajinikanth is making waves at the box office with his latest action drama Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. After crossing the Rs 400 crore mark globally in just four days, Coolie is now gearing up to surpass the Rs 500 crore milestone. If it achieves this in less than 10 days, Coolie will become the fastest Tamil film to do so, a record currently held by 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo (2023). However, this doesn't appear to be very easy, as average to negative reviews have started to affect Coolie's prospects. Although the movie passed the crucial first Monday test splendidly, earning double-digit revenue, its collection fell short compared to Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava and Ahaan Panday-Aneet Padda's Saiyaara, which rank above Coolie among the highest-grossing Indian films of 2025. Worse still, the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial's first Monday collection is significantly lower than that of Rajinikanth's previous blockbuster Jailer (2023). Nonetheless, Coolie's first Monday collection is far less than Chhaava and Saiyaara, both of which earned Rs 24 crore, raising doubts about whether the Rajinikanth-starrer will emerge as the highest-grossing Indian film of the year. Although Coolie fared better than the superstar's last movie, Vettaiyan, which earned just Rs 5.6 crore on its first weekday in theatres, it couldn't match the performance of his previous blockbuster, Jailer, which minted Rs 23.55 crore on the corresponding day. On Monday, Coolie registered an overall occupancy of 32.18 per cent in the Tamil market. While the morning shows commenced with 23.58 per cent occupancy, the rate improved as the day unfolded, reaching 29.31 per cent in the afternoon and 38.07 percent in the evening. However, the figure witnessed a slight dip during night screenings and settled at 37.76 per cent. Also starring Nagarjuna Akkineni, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj and Rachita Ram, as well as Aamir Khan in a cameo role, Coolie features music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Girish Gangadharan and editing by Philomin Raj. In his review of the movie, SCREEN's Arjun Menon wrote, 'Lokesh Kanagaraj movie approaches Rajinikanth's star persona with a mix of old-school veneration and a slight tongue-in-irreverance.'

After Saiyaara, Ahaan Panday's Barbaad gets a Kishore Kumar AI version; divided netizens say ‘Let the OG be OG'
Every Friday a new movie is released in theatres. While some are forgotten by the next week, a few leave an indelible mark on the audiences. In this day and age, it was quite refreshing to see how real the craze for Mohit Suri's Saiyaara was. Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's adorable chemistry, intense performances and the heartwrenching story made sure that their debut film becomes a milestone in Bollywood's history. Meanwhile the music touched millions of hearts! The title track of Saiyaara even got an AI version in late legend Kishore Kumar's voice. Well, another song from the album has now been recreated using AI. Ahaan Panday-Aneet Padda's Saiyaara song Barbaad and the new AI track We are talking about the soulful love song Barbaad, originally helmed by Jubin Nautiyal, which plays when Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda realise that they are falling in love. The AI version of Barbaad in Kishore Kumar's voice has been created by musicians RJ Krishna and Anshuman Sharma, who were also behind Saiyaara's recreated title track. This time, the duo have used Ahaan and Aneet's Barbaad in the backdrop of Amitabh Bachchan and Smita Patil's song Jane Kaise Kab Kahan from the 1982 film Shakti. Well, much like the previous remixed version, Barbaad's AI version in KK's voice has left the internet divided. Some fans were blown away! For instance, a social media user shared, 'Therapy is expensive, so I listen to "Barbaad" in Kishore Kumar's voice!!,' whereas a comment read, 'Why is this better than the original!!!! Love it.' An internet user called it, 'Another Banger ✨,' whereas another netizen stated, '👏👏👏👏👏 ye saiyara k gaane old vibes mein hi smjh aye mujhe toh.. isse phle toh dhyan hi ni gya lyrics pe😍.' However, others seem to have had enough of the AI versions, and believe these recreations are taking away from the originals. For instance, a netizen claimed, 'I'm sorry but the ai version is not better than the original. Please stop making everything using ai. Let the og be og,' whereas another internet user opined, 'Honestly, recreating today's songs in old singers' voices might be fun for a moment, but it takes away the originality. Every era has its own magic — and what's new deserves to be celebrated in its own fresh sound. Every generation creates its own sound. Why force old voices on new songs when the beauty lies in originality?' A comment read, 'I really think this isn't ok... Making every viral song in Kishore Kumar's voice using AI,' whereas a netizen shared, 'I don't know why but I hate these type of AI songs 😤.' What are your thoughts on the recreated versions of songs from Saiyaara's soulful album?
