Sky hands out huge freebie Samsung's newest mobile
Retailers are already trumping Samsung's own deal on its newest Galaxy S25 Edge mobile - here's two retailers offering better deals with huge freebies
Earlier this week Samsung took shoppers by surprise with its newest mobile, the Galaxy S25 Edge. An model to its existing 2025 S range it is thinner, lighter, and branded as an 'egineering feat' by industry experts. Despite the success from the brand, we've found a retailer trumping its price.
Sky Mobile is beating Samsung's price by throwing in a pair of £219 Buds3Pro for shoppers when they buy. All while offering the exact same free storage offer that Samsung has on its site.
Sky shoppers can buy the S25 Edge from £40 a month, which will tie them into a 36-month contract, with no upfront cost. And in line with a popular pre-order deal the bigger 512GB S25 Edge can be ordered for the same price as the 256GB one - with data added as an extra fee.
This matches Samsung's free storage offer too where the 512GB S25 Edge is on sale for £1,099 opposed to its £1,199 price, although this has since sold out at the Galaxy Store. Making Sky a fit when it comes to stock, not to mention the free Buds3 Pro earphones.

Product Description
Another retailer on our radar is Mobiles.co.uk as it offers the new Galaxy model with the same storage offer and options to get money off with trade-in, depending on the network data plan shoppers pick. Another option for consumers who'd prefer to split the cost over a few years instead of paying the total cost at once.
Another retailer is Amazon, which states the Galaxy S25 Edge will be 'released on May 29.' It's also matching Samsung's £1,099 price on the 512GB model - an option to go for now that Samsung has seemingly sold out.
Shoppers who buy the Samsung model from Sky will get the £219 accessory for £0, but there is a list of requirements to stick to. Shoppers need to purchase the model between May 13 and May 29 (the date the free storage offer ends, too) to get the buds added to their order.
This doesn't appear in shoppers' baskets, but Sky says it will 'automatically appear in order confirmations'. The Buds3 Pro will be shipped out along with shoppers' new S25 Edge handset. For shoppers buying more than one Galaxy S25 Edge, it's worth noting that only one free accessory will be sent out per order.
Another thing to mention for Sky shoppers is its contract length, which is long at 36 months. Despite looking like a 24-month contract (in bold letters on the site) this is only the period when customers can swap their device, not when the contract ends - a feature which could catch some shoppers out.
Original S25 drops by £200 amid launch
Launching at £1,199, the S25 Edge is certainly one of the more expensive models to buy, a lot more than the S25 starting price of £799. Which is why the brand's previous Galaxy S25 could be of more interest.
The newest S25 Edge model's only downside (so far) is its smaller battery, which has less oomph than the standard S25 range despite being more expensive. However, it does feature the same speedy processor.
For non Android fans there's always the newer Apple model to consider too - the iPhone 16e. Which can be bought at Sky Mobile, Amazon, or O2.

Sky finally launches a new way to watch TV and the price will surprise you
Sky has finally launched its Glass Air TV, which is available now for a very affordable price. Sky still rules the roost when it comes to watching TV, but tuning into this premium service has never been cheap. Luckily, that's all changed this week with the firm finally releasing its all-new Glass Air telly. This internet-connected screen was first announced all the way back in February and now, after months of waiting, it's available to order via Sky's website. So, how much will Sky Glass Air cost, and what's included? It's been confirmed that this television starts from just £6 per month with a £20 upfront fee. For that price, you get a 4K display, Dolby Audio and full voice controls via the neat remote. SEE THE DEAL HERE You can also pick it up in three colours - including White and Green - plus there are bigger screen sizes (55 and 65-inch), although these do cost extra. One bonus of Sky Glass is that it doesn't need a dish to work with all content beamed to the screen via the web instead. Other extras found on Glass Air include personalised recommendations, full access to all the most popular streaming apps such as Netflix and a clever Playlists feature that stores things to watch at a later date. Of course, like all things in life, there is a catch. That £6 price is just for the TV. If you want to add things to watch, things start from an extra £15 per month. That means you'll pay around £21, but that does include over one hundred channels and Netflix. If you start adding more channels such as Sports and Cinema you'll pay more. A full content pack and the Air telly can cost over £50. Mirror Online has tested the more premium Gen 2 Glass TV which we like but are yet to fully try the Air. Hopefullt we'll have a full review soon.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic: The ULTIMATE Smartwatch Refined?
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is poised to make waves in the smartwatch market with its bold design and advanced features. By embracing a rugged aesthetic and larger size, Samsung seems to be targeting a specific audience, but these choices may not resonate with all users. The video below provides more insights into the key aspects of the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, analyzing its potential strengths and limitations to provide a clearer picture of what this device could offer. Watch this video on YouTube. Rugged Design and Larger Size Samsung appears to be taking a deliberate step toward a more rugged and durable design with the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. This shift reflects a growing demand for smartwatches that can withstand outdoor activities and challenging environments. The return of the rotating bezel—a feature that has been a hallmark of earlier Galaxy Watch models—adds a layer of practicality, offering tactile navigation in a market where touchscreens dominate. This feature could enhance usability, particularly for users who prefer physical controls over touch-based interactions. However, the larger size and rugged design may not appeal to everyone. Users with smaller wrists or those who prioritize lightweight, sleek wearables might find the watch less comfortable for daily use. The absence of a compact option could limit its appeal as an everyday accessory, especially for individuals who value subtlety and comfort in their wearable devices. While the rugged aesthetic caters to outdoor enthusiasts, it risks alienating a broader audience that prefers versatility and elegance. Advanced Health Sensors and Larger Display The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is expected to feature an array of advanced health sensors, reinforcing Samsung's position as a leader in wearable health technology. These sensors may include enhanced heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen tracking, and potentially new tools designed to cater to fitness enthusiasts and health-conscious users. Such features could make the watch a valuable companion for those looking to monitor their well-being more effectively. The larger display is another notable aspect, offering improved readability and a more immersive experience for viewing health metrics, notifications, and other data. This could be particularly beneficial for users who rely on their smartwatch for detailed health tracking or productivity tasks. However, the increased screen size contributes to the overall bulkiness of the device. For users accustomed to compact smartwatches, this trade-off between functionality and comfort might be a significant drawback. Battery Technology and Charging Capabilities Despite its larger size, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is rumored to feature a battery capacity that remains modest compared to some of its competitors, such as the Apple Watch Ultra. This could be a point of contention for users seeking a smartwatch capable of lasting multiple days on a single charge. The charging speed is also expected to remain at 10 watts, offering no significant improvement over previous models. While wireless charging continues to provide convenience, the lack of advancements in battery life or charging speed may leave heavy users wanting more. For outdoor enthusiasts or travelers who rely on extended battery life, these limitations could be a deciding factor. The watch's durability and advanced features may appeal to a niche audience, but the absence of meaningful improvements in battery performance could hinder its broader appeal. Users who prioritize long-lasting performance may find themselves looking elsewhere for a device that better meets their needs. Color Options and Customization The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is rumored to launch with a minimalist color palette, offering black and white options. These choices align with the watch's rugged and understated design, appealing to users who prefer a classic aesthetic. However, the limited color range may feel restrictive for those who enjoy more vibrant or unique designs. In contrast, the base Galaxy Watch 8 is expected to offer more variety, with graphite and silver options available in two sizes: 40 mm and 44 mm. This disparity in customization options highlights a potential drawback for the Classic model. While the minimalist approach may suit some users, others may feel that the lack of personalization options limits the watch's appeal. For a device that aims to cater to a wide range of users, offering more diverse color and design choices could have broadened its market reach. Release Timeline and Market Expectations Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic in July, generating significant anticipation among consumers and industry observers alike. The watch's bold design choices and advanced capabilities are likely to spark discussions about its place in the competitive smartwatch market. Whether it can strike the right balance between innovation and user needs will be a key factor in determining its success. As the release date approaches, potential buyers will be weighing the watch's rugged design, advanced health features, and larger display against its lack of compact options and modest battery improvements. These considerations will play a crucial role in shaping consumer perceptions and influencing purchasing decisions. The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic has the potential to carve out a niche for itself, but its ability to meet the diverse needs of its audience will ultimately determine its impact on the wearable technology landscape. The most recent high profile closure was that of ITVBe, which ended after more than 10 years of broadcasting. Most of the big reality series on the channel, like TOWIE, have moved over to ITV2. Fortunately, ITV hasn't left a huge gap on your TV guides as a result of the move. Instead, ITVBe's slot has been replaced by a new channel, ITV Quiz, filled with some of the network's biggest game shows. Image credit: ITV
