Love Island in fix row as fans slam controversial move that sent fan favourite home
The Sun was first to reveal the eviction - and how the Love Island singletons had already left - with our source letting slip how "the cast were reeling after this shock move".
We told how "one ousted Islander in particular will be much missed" - and the news clearly hit hard with those watching at home as show OG Alima Gagigo was given the boot.
She was forced to exit the series with bombshell Ryan Bannister, who had only just set foot in the matchmaking show compound.
The shock elimination came when the Islanders were gathered around the firepit under the impression another recoupling was about to take place.
But the group were blindsided when two fresh bombshells, Billykiss and Ryan, were asked to stand - and the boys were told to step forward if they wanted to couple up with Billykiss.
Only Connor moved, having just been on a date with the influencer. As a result, Alima - who had been in a friendship couple with him - was asked to switch places with Billykiss.
Moments later, when no girls stepped forward for Ryan, the group assumed Alima and Ryan would be paired.
But instead, a brutal twist revealed both were being dumped from the Island immediately - a decision that left the rest of the villa stunned and in tears.
Fans have since taken to Facebook to vent their frustration that she was dumped, while others - including Meg Moore - were saved.
While some have claimed producers "fixed" the outcome, it is purely speculation and there is no evidence that an intervention took place.
One upset viewer wrote: 'She was so sweet, should have picked her."
Love Island star sparks fears she'll quit the show after tense bust-up saying 'she's going to walk'
Another said: 'It's totally fixed. They've done it that way so Meg was saved."
Others speculated that the outcome would've been different had the power been in the hands of the bombshells.
A third claimed: 'Obviously if the bombshells picked, I think Harry and Meg would be on their way home. Totally fixed."
Someone else agreed: 'Course it's fixed.'
One more added: 'Show is a big fix. He looked like he wanted to stand up. Maya said all would be different this series.'
Fans were previously left fuming that no bombshell had been brought in for Alima, as they demanded to know why she hadn't been considered.

EVICTION BLOW
On Wednesday night's episode of Love Island, Tommy had a text asking all Islanders to gather round the Firepit.
A second text told Ryan and Billykiss, the new bombshells, to stand at the front.
The boys were told to stand up if they'd like to recouple with Billykiss.
Conor stood up, and says his date went really well with Billykiss and he'd be doing himself a disservice to not explore their connection.
Alima, left uncoupled, then took Billykiss' place up at the front.
The girls then had to stand up if they'd like to recouple with new bombshell Ryan, but none of the girls did so.
Due to both being single, Alma and new bombshell Ryan were dumped from the show.
Ryan remarked that his time was short but sweet, but it's Alima's exit that left the girls in tears, as Toni and Yasmin were both seen crying.
Ryan had only just entered the show as a bombshell.

Why has Sonay Kartal got strapping on her knee during Wimbledon last 16 clash?
SONAY Kartal is eyeing a spot in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon this afternoon. The 23-year-old star will overtake Emma Raducanu as British No1 if she can defeat Russian veteran Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the last 16 at the All England Club. 4 4 Wimbledon 2025 LIVE - follow all the latest scores and updates from a thrilling fortnight at SW19 She is the fourth unseeded British woman to reach the fourth round this century after Laura Robson, Heather Watson and Raducanu. Kartal has already put together her best run at a major, and she plans to celebrate after the tournament by getting her 15th tattoo. But it's not just the ink that's catching the eyes of spectators this afternoon, as she has heavy strapping on her right knee. Why has Sonay Kartal got strapping on her knee? Sonay Kartal first wore tape on her right knee on Saturday during her doubles match with fellow Brit Jodie Burrage. The pair went on to lose in straight sets to Beatriz Haddad Maia and Laura Siegemund, but after the match, Kartal explained the reasoning behind the tape: '(The tape) is just precaution. I am testing it out in the match today to see whether or not I like it. I'm all good. It took a lot for me to come out of doubles retirement." 4 4 But Kartal's knee has been strapped up much more for the last-16 clash than it was yesterday during the doubles defeat. The British hopeful later went on to discuss the honour of playing on Centre Court for the first time, with her last-16 clash against Pavlyuchenkova picked to open the iconic stage on Sunday at Wimbledon. Kartal added: "I found out about Centre Court just before walking out on court (for the doubles). My agent told me. It's a huge honour to play on that court. A court that you dream of. As a kid, you want to play on it. I had no idea. It was one I was hoping to play on this week. The way I am looking at it is that it's a slightly bigger Court One. "I think I have got over the court one (nerves), I will feel much better walking out on Centre. Still nerve-wracking, but Court One is already a super big court. It's similar to Centre. Warming up on Court One a couple of days ago will help me. 'I'm just tunnel vision, focusing on myself. I did watch the match yesterday (Friday). Emma played incredible tennis. Went toe-to-toe, at some points was even miles ahead. "She should get so much confidence from her game, making the world No1 play the best tennis. I don't feel much pressure. "I am playing with freedom. I feel like I have nothing to lose. I will go on court and enjoy the moment and hopefully get the win"

Jimmy Carr called estranged father after 25-year feud to ‘ask for a favour before cutting him off again' pal claims
JIMMY Carr allegedly called his father amid their longstanding feud to ask for a "favour" - before snubbing his old man when it was granted, it has been claimed. The comedian's bad blood with Jim Carr Snr, 80, has been widely reported, with Jimmy, 52, previously suggesting his dad was "dead to me" after their lengthy spat reached its peak. 6 6 6 In 2022, we also reported how Jimmy was being sued by his father for defamation. At the time, it was claimed Jim Carr Snr was "sick and tired" of the "false characterisation" the 8 Out Of 10 Cats host presents of his dad. Now a pal of Jimmy's parent has claimed has claimed Jim Carr Snr was left "confused and distraught" after Jimmy allegedly reached out for help - then cut contact again. A source told MailOnline how Jimmy is said to have asked his dad to "take on a burden." The source said: "It was just before Christmas in 2017 and Jimmy rang his dad to ask him for some help with a problem he had. "He had been supporting someone close to him but just couldn't continue doing so. "Jim has never told me the full details preferring to keep it private but it was a big favour to ask and obviously Jimmy felt he had nowhere else to turn, given that he hadn't spoken to his dad for that last 15 or 16-years prior to that phone call. "He wanted Jim to take on the burden – which he duly did. "But while Jim hoped this good deed could rekindle their relationship, Jimmy seemed to cut him off again. "He didn't call to thank him or anything, it was radio silence… which continues to this day." Jimmy Carr takes swipe at Peter Kay as he breaks silence on kicking hecklers out of stand-up show The Sun has gone to Jimmy's rep for comment. BUST UP In one of the most bitter celebrity bust-ups, tensions are said to have escalated between Jimmy and Jim after the publication of the funnyman's memoir, Before and Laughter. Jim was said to be "sick and tired" of "false characterisation" by the 8 Out Of 10 Cats host. At the time source told MirrorOnline Jim had taken legal action and said: "The last thing Jim wanted to do was take his own son to court, but enough is enough. "He's sick and tired of this false characterisation of himself that is being presented. "Jimmy's snide comments about his dad have been going on for years. "The straw that broke the camel's back was this new book and some of the things he has been saying on podcasts." Jimmy previously told how he cut contact with his dad following the death of his mother Nora in 2001. He told a podcast: "I haven't seen my dad in 21 years and you know the line, 'My mother's dead and my father's dead to me' – which sounds very cold, until you meet the guy." 6 6

Iconic music star, 46, captains non-league side and takes kick-off before being subbed within minutes
ICONIC music star Pete Doherty swapped the stage for the pitch as he took part in a non-league football match. The Libertines frontman, 46, walked out and took the kick off for Isthmian League South East Division side Margate. 4 4 4 Wearing his iconic hat - and the captain's armband - Doherty led Margate out on the pitch for their pre-season clash with Tonbridge Angels on Saturday. Margate had announced earlier in the week that they had "signed" Doherty and that the star would be making his debut against Tonbridge. A statement read: "We are delighted to announce that we have signed Pete Doherty to make his Margate debut tomorrow against Tonbridge Angels. "See you there, 2:45pm kick-off". However, those hoping to see the indie guitarist play the full 90 minutes were let down after he took the kickoff and was substituted just a few moments later. Perhaps Margate could have done with Doherty up top for longer after they ultimately fell to a 3-2 defeat on the day. Nonetheless, fans loved seeing Doherty make a brief cameo. On social media, one wrote: "The living legend Mr Pete Doherty wearing number 10". While another added: "Pete Doherty playing for Margate FC… never thought he'd be 'The Man Who Would Be Wing'." - a play on The Libertines' tune The Man Who Would Be King And a third posted: "Jacob Adams has shared a pitch with Pete Doherty, what a world we live in". The Libertines have sponsored Margate's kits since 2018/19 season and continue to adorn the front of their shirts for the upcoming campaign. After the game came to a close Doherty was straight back to his usual job, headlining a homecoming gig down the road at Margate venue Dreamland amusement park.
