WWE
star turned actor
John Cena
has revealed neither wrestling nor his blossoming Hollywood career is his passion.
The actor and WWE icon, who is retiring from wrestling in December this year, said he always prioritises his partner Shay Shariatzadeh.
He told Extra: "My number one passion is my wife. Absolutely, that is first on the list. I'd say right behind that is my health so I can be the best husband to my wife."
Despite his upcoming retirement, the "Heads of State" actor said that he will always be part of WWE in some capacity as long as they want him, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
"This is my final year in the WWE. I'm retiring this year. We're about halfway through, so I look forward to officially closing the book on in-ring competition.
I will forever be an ambassador of the WWE. I'll be part of that family till they ask me to leave."
The 48-year-old star is stepping away from life as a professional wrestler knowing that his Hollywood career has hit new heights, but he doesn't take it for granted.
He said: "I know how hard it is to get any sort of role. I saw some footage today, which was one of my first roles as a background actor and man, it really warmed my heart.
I don't carry any guilt or shame when I see that, because I got to be on screen, I got to learn a little bit about the business.
"It allowed me to reflect on how far I've come, so, gosh, I just want to make the most of the chances that people take on me."
In "Head Of State", Cena will be seen sharing screen space with Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Hollywood star
Idris Elba
.

Muhurtha held for new multilingual horror film ‘Pingaksha'

Bengaluru: The Muhurtham of new horror film titled 'Pingaksha', inspired by another name of god Anjaneya, was held at Sri Balamuri Varasiddhi Vinayaka Temple in Nandini Layout. The title joins the line of names like Bajrangi and Hanuman, but with a unique twist 'Pingaksha' is derived from Sanskrit and, according to the makers, perfectly suits the film's theme. The film is being produced by B. Vasudevarao under the banner of Sagittarian Films, while B. Bharatvasudev, a techie-turned-filmmaker, is writing the story, handling cinematography, and designing the action cuts. The makers have even chosen a catchy English tagline, 'The Dead,' to reflect the film's chilling core. Speaking to reporters after the launch, director Bharatvasudev explained the film's distinct approach to the horror genre. 'We have seen many horror films, but Pingaksha will stand out because the scary elements run from beginning to end, keeping the audience in awe. The story revolves around how the master of a house protects his family from evil forces, how divine power comes to his aid, and what unique way is found to defeat the devil,' he said. The director added that the film will not only focus on horror but also weave in family bonds, love, marriage, and entertainment, with four songs and three major action sequences. Shooting has been planned across picturesque locations including Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Chikkamagaluru, Madikeri, Kalapi, Munnar, and Cochin. The film stars Santosh Kumar as an ACP in the lead role, with Risha Gowda as the heroine. Kerala-born Iyra Menon plays the second lead, while Bhargav appears in a special role. The supporting cast includes seasoned actors like Avinash, Rangayana Raghu, Ku. Aarohi Udanur, Kittithalikote, Telugu Nagamahesh, Balarajavadi, Sarath Lohitashva, Vardhan, and Asha.

Priya Bapat says OTT has given her challenging parts to play

Mumbai: Actress Priya Bapat, who leads the investigation in the recently released psychological-horror streaming series 'Andhera', has said that working on OTT has been a very rewarding experience for her. The actress spoke with IANS during the promotional run of the show, and shared that while she has been working in the Hindi and Marathi cinema for over 20 years, it's the OTT, which has given her the opportunity to try meatier parts. She told IANS, 'I feel that I think I have got more meaty parts and more challenging roles in the space of OTT now even from the time I started be it 'City of Dreams' or 'Andhera', every show that I have done so far has given me a lot more. Everything I did and learnt in my Marathi industry and from the cinema that I did, I think more than the box-office, OTT really has been challenging, experimenting and it's a great space to be'. The actress also called the experience of working in OTT, a liberating experience as makers on OTT trust her with parts which are well-fleshed out. She further mentioned, 'It is liberating, and also for an actor like me it's a great time because people are trusting you with different parts, more women characters are being written in a good way in a good space'. 'Andhera', which is set in Mumbai, follows Inspector Kalpana Kadam and Jay, a medical student, who become entangled in a missing-person case that unearths a sinister presence beneath the city. The series explores the fictional space of 'What if darkness comes to life?'. It also stars Surveen Chawla, Priya Bapat and Prajakta Koli. Produced by Excel Entertainment, and directed by Raaghav Dar, the series is available to stream on Prime Video.
