The game takes place in Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 5 to kick off the 2025 International Games.
It marks the first NFL fixture to be offered for free in its entirety on the video streaming site.
The Los Angeles Chargers will take on an opponent to be announced later today when the full 2025 schedule is revealed.
YouTube and YouTube TV have served as the home of NFL Sunday Ticket since the start of the 2023 season for US viewers.
"Last year, people spent over 350 million hours watching official NFL content on YouTube, so it's both fitting and thrilling to continue to build our relationship with our partners at the NFL," said Mary Ellen Coe, chief business officer, YouTube.
"Streaming the Friday night game to fans for free around the world will mark YouTube's first time as a live NFL broadcaster – and we'll do it in a way that only YouTube can, with an interactive viewing experience and creators right at the center of the experience."
As part of a multi-year deal, YouTube will also air the annual celebrity Super Bowl Flag Football game featuring creators and musical artists.
"We are excited to expand our relationship with YouTube to bring this year's Brazil game to a worldwide audience," said Hans Schroeder, NFL's executive vice president of media distribution.
"YouTube and YouTube TV have been incredible partners of the NFL for several years and boast an immense global reach, and we look forward to Week 1 in São Paulo."

Lions LB Malcolm Rodriguez (knee) out until November

June 5 - Detroit Lions linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez will not return from his knee injury until November, head coach Dan Campbell said Thursday. "He's not going to be starting the season out," Campbell said when asked about a timetable for Rodriguez, who tore his right ACL in last year's Thanksgiving game. "Conservatively? November. ... Yeah, that's probably the best way to say it. Probably November. Somewhere in there." Rodriguez, 26, recorded 43 tackles and 2.0 sacks in 10 games (six starts) before sustaining the season-ending injury in Detroit's 23-20 holiday victory over the rival Chicago Bears in Week 13. The 2022 sixth-round draft pick has tallied 151 tackles, 3.0 sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 43 career games (24 starts) for the Lions. --Field Level Media

Retired Derek Carr: Didn't want to 'just take the Saints money'

June 5 - Derek Carr announced his retirement last month, a decision that saw him forgo $30 million by opting against shoulder surgery. Had he gone under the knife, the veteran quarterback still would have been paid by the New Orleans Saints despite being sidelined for the duration of the 2025 season. "That part was tough because I didn't want to have surgery and just sit there and -- it sounds crazy but -- just take the Saints' money," Carr told Front Office Sports in a story published on Wednesday. "I wouldn't have been able to play if I had the surgery. And then if I tried to play with it, I wasn't near 100 percent, and so that doesn't help them, either. I just felt like it was the right thing to do for myself and for the team." The Saints disclosed that Carr had a labral tear and "significant degenerative changes to his rotator cuff." Carr, 34, signed a four-year, $150 million contract with New Orleans in 2023. "I never played just for the money," he said. "I had a whole bunch of people tell me how crazy I was, and, 'Man, I would never have done that.' That's all cool, but I've gained all these things that the world has to offer, and it doesn't really do anything for your heart. I knew my heart was at peace, and that's really all that mattered." The Saints selected quarterback Tyler Shough in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft in April. They also have 2024 fifth-round pick Spencer Rattler and 2023 fourth-round selection Jake Haener on the roster. Carr was 14-13 as the starter in New Orleans over two seasons, although he was limited to 10 games in 2024 due to injuries. A four-time Pro Bowl selection, Carr threw for 41,245 yards and 257 touchdowns against 112 interceptions in 169 games for the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders (2014-22) and Saints. He was selected by the Raiders in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Fresno State. --Field Level Media
