Leah Remini reveals where she stands with Jennifer Lopez after their falling out

New York Post04-06-2025
Leah Remini is back on Jenny's block.
The 'King of Queens' actress, 54, has rekindled her friendship with Jennifer Lopez after an alleged rift.
'Right after the divorce, we'd text each other loving messages of support,' Remini shared with Us Weekly in an interview published on Wednesday.

Remini split from her husband of 21 years, Angelo Pagán, last August.
That same month, Lopez, 55, filed for divorce from Ben Affleck two years after their Georgia wedding. Remini shockingly skipped the nuptials amidst reports that she fell out with Lopez over the singer's relationship with Affleck, 52.

'Sometimes you don't talk to people every day like you used to, but that doesn't mean the love is lost,' Remini explained while claiming that there was never a rift between her and Lopez.

Remini also told the outlet that she's 'at a different place' in her life 12 years after leaving Scientology.
'I really retreated [after leaving],' the 'Kevin Can Wait' star shared. 'But also not really wanting to leave the house that much. I started to come out a bit but was still careful and cautious.'

'I cherish my friendships and not everybody is meant to be in your life in the way that they were,' Remini continued. 'When you grow out of that person that you were, that doesn't mean that you are at odds with them. I have many friends that I don't talk to every day. That doesn't mean we're at odds — it's just that I'm at a different place and so are they.'
Lopez and Remini became friends in 2004, but things changed after Lopez rekindled her romance with Affleck in 2021.

According to a Page Six insider, Remini and Lopez got into a fight before the former couple's 2022 wedding over Remini's concerns about the 'Argo' director.
Remini allegedly warned the 'Dance Again' singer to not marry Affleck because he's 'selfish' and is 'not fully committed as a partner,' but Lopez still went ahead with the wedding.

At the time, sources told TMZ that Remini skipped the wedding because she was busy helping her daughter, Sofia, 20, whom she shares with now-estranged husband Pagán, prepare to head off to college.

After Remini and Lopez's respective splits from their husbands last year, Page Six confirmed that the former besties had reconnected.

'I saw that Angelo wanted something different,' she explained. 'When you're giving what you give in a relationship, but it's not what the person wants, it's like, 'So you don't appreciate what I'm doing? Well, I don't appreciate what you're doing because that's not what I want.''

'When I met him, I was in Scientology as a different person,' Remini continued. 'Living in the same household, you're acting out your roles, and if we're not changing those roles as our needs change, you're just growing apart. We just decided we should file for divorce and do a clean slate so nobody feels obligated to do this or that.'
Despite their split, Remini is not ready to start dating yet.
'Right now, I can't see sitting across from another guy and listening to [him],' she shared.

Blake Lively rips Perez Hilton for churning out more than 500 negative articles about Justin Baldoni feud

Blake Lively claims Perez Hilton published more than 500 negative pieces about her unrelenting feud with Justin Baldoni — as she dukes it out with her co-star-turned-enemy for allegedly mounting a smear campaign against her. Lively, 37, alleged that Hilton — whose real name is Mario Lavandeira Jr. — put out 540 'disparaging' videos and posts about her without first reaching out to her side for comment and which 'generally regurgitate messaging that appears to be prepared by others,' according to court papers her lawyers filed in Manhattan federal court Tuesday. 3 Blake Lively's lawyers filed court papers claiming blogger Perez Hilton has published over 540 negative pieces about her in her feud with Justin Baldoni. Variety via Getty Images Advertisement The court papers also claim that Hilton used a slew of slurs and 'mocking' epithets about her including calling her: 'Blackface Blake,' 'Lying Lively,' 'Ku Klux Khaleesi,' and 'Litigious Lively.' The 'Gossip Girl' star subpoenaed the gossip hack for any correspondence he may have exchanged with Baldoni's side as she seeks to prove her claims that her 'It Ends With Us' co-star-turned-nemesis carried out a smear campaign against her, with the help of the film's production company Wayfarer Studios LCC and others. Hilton last month filed papers seeking a protective order to stop Lively's team from publishing journalists' and influencers' personal addresses when she subpoenas them — and he's fighting her subpoena for his records in Las Vegas federal court. Getty Images for One Drop Hilton told The Post in an exclusive statement that he's not part of Baldoni's alleged smear campaign against Lively and that he only published opinions he formed on his own by reading Lively's suit and Baldoni's since-dismissed countersuit. 'I was not part of any smear campaign against her,' Hilton said. 'I was not working on behalf of anyone. I was not paid by anyone.' 'After reading Justin Baldoni's lawsuit against her and his first amended complaint, my opinions and support shifted,' the influencer said. Advertisement Hilton also said that his work records are shielded by laws that protect journalists and said since he works and lives in Las Vegas, the issue should be fought in a court in the Silver State. 3 Blake Lively claimed in her lawsuit that her 'It Ends With Us' co-star and director Justin Baldoni sexually harassed her and then carried out a smear campaign against her. GC Images 'She is asking me for information that is privileged,' Hilton said. 'She is also asking me for information that she could and should obtain from the parties in this case, the Wayfarer defendants, not from me — a nonparty to this litigation.' 'I did nothing wrong,' he concluded. 'I am not afraid of Blake Lively.' Advertisement Lively is asking Manhattan federal Judge Lewis Liman to force Hilton to comply with her subpoena and to force him to cough up attorney's fees for any Hilton-related litigation. Her team claimed in the court papers that to date, Baldoni and the other defendants haven't turned over any messages that Hilton exchanged with them. The 'A Simple Favor' actress claimed Baldoni sexually harassed her and then launched a campaign to tarnish her reputation. She claimed he shared details about his sexual conquests with her and the fact that he was addicted to porn. After, Baldoni launched counterclaims accusing Lively and her 'Deadpool' actor husband of extorting and defaming him. Liman dismissed Baldoni's suit in June. Lawyers for Lively and Baldoni didn't immediately return requests for comment Wednesday.
