Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma Charms Audience With ‘Pehla Nasha' On Piano
Last Updated: Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma wowed Raj Bhavan guests, including the Governor, by playing Pehla Nasha on a 150-year-old piano. Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma drew applause and smiles at Raj Bhavan after delivering a soulful rendition of the Bollywood classic Pehla Nasha on a 150-year-old piano. The audience, which included Governor C H Vijayashankar, was visibly impressed, with the Governor seen praising the CM's piano skills. The video of the song, from the 1992 film Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, has since been shared widely on social media, earning Conrad Sangma praise for his musical talent. But this is far from the first time the music-loving chief minister has made headlines for his performances. In 2023, he impressed rock fans by playing the iconic guitar solo from Iron Maiden's Wasted Years and in 2021, he posted a video of himself singing Bryan Adams' Summer of '69. He has also shared clips of himself playing Joe Satriani's 'Always With Me, Always With You', modestly noting he was 'almost there" with the complex piece. view comments First Published: August 16, 2025, 22:03 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
