United had their worst top-flight season in half a century, capped by their Europa League Final defeat by Spurs.
But Amorim is convinced he has EVERYTHING in place to follow in the long-term footsteps of United managerial greats Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex Ferguson and create his own dynasty.
Amorim said: 'I want to stay at this club. I want to stay 20 years.
'That is my goal and I truly believe in that.

'When I was at Sporting, I was waiting for the right club. I know it sounds crazy. But I chose this club. I had the feeling.
'Something will happen. In some moments I will be lucky. I had a lot of luck during my career as a manager and my idea is to stay for many years.
'I don't want to experience pain. I just want to bond, to be part of it. I will stay here as long as I can.
'But we know that the results will dictate that. I know that last season I used up all the credits but I'm ready to start fresh.'
United's last Prem success was in Fergie's final season of 2012-13.
Amorim is the sixth full-time manager appointed since the Scot left 12 years ago, with United's reputation flagging as rivals City and Liverpool have replaced them as dominant forces.

But the Portuguese is convinced the decline is a temporary blip and that United's return to greatness is inevitable.
He added: 'I know there was a massive gap last season between where we finish and the European places.

'But this is Manchester United. We need to return to Europe and get back to where the club should be.
'I have no doubts, because there are some things that you cannot buy.
'This club has them. The pedigree, the history, the fans. We have that.
'Then the money. We have money. We have money without the Champions League.
I want to stay at this club. I want to stay 20 years."
Ruben Amorim
'So we can spend, we have money and we'll have more money in the future. And we are doing everything.
"You talk with Omar (Berrarda, United's chief executive) and all these guys, they are making all the strategy to have more money in the future.
'So that will not be a problem. Then the culture.
"If we have a different culture, with all that, with all the pedigree, the money, all these things, we can return to our place. And that is clear.'

Man Utd told to sign £10m Newcastle star in summer transfer window
Ben Foster has urged his former club Manchester United to sign Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope in the summer transfer window. Foster feels the Red Devils are 'absolutely crying out for a goalkeeper' before the 2025-26 Premier League season gets underway in 10 days. United's No.1 goalkeeper Andre Onana picked up a hamstring injury last month and has not played in any of the club's friendlies over the summer. Onana is hoping to return for the start of the season – but even when he's been fit – he's faced widespread criticism for his performances and errors. United have been linked to a number of goalkeepers this summer and saw a loan bid rejected for Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez. In The Mixer: Exclusive analysis, FPL tips and transfer talk sent straight to your inbox every week – click here and sign up before Friday to make sure you don't miss the first edition. The Red Devils have also reportedly been interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain superstar Gianluigi Donnarumma. Foster, though, has urged United to take a look at Newcastle star Pope in the summer window, which remains open until September 1. Newcastle paid £10m to sign Pope from Burnley in 2022 – and Football Insider claim it would take £10-£15m to recruit him from the Magpies. The 33-year-old has been capped 10 times by England to date and faces competition from new signing Aaron Ramsdale at Newcastle this season. 'Manchester United are crying out for a goalkeeper, absolutely crying out for a goalkeeper,' Foster said on his YouTube channel. 'Honestly, you'd do so much worse than getting Nick Pope. Man United don't necessarily just go all-out play straight from the back, that's not their style anyway. 'I think Nick Pope can still play out from the back, by the way. I'm not demeaning him, he can still play out from the back. 'But if you're looking to get it to the forward areas as quickly as possible, Nick Pope is your boy. And he will stop goals, it's as simple as that. More Trending 'Onana's had this big injury at the start of pre-season, he's looking like he'll only get back fit maybe just for the start of the season. 'But you don't want that from your goalkeeper, you want him to have had four, five pre-season games under his best, weeks and weeks of training, get that into the legs. 'And there was also a lot of questions raised at the end of last season thinking he will probably not be the first-choice goalkeeper.' Pope has played a total of 95 games for Newcastle to date across all competitions and has plenty of Premier League experience. Alexander Isak's dream Liverpool transfer in limbo as Man Utd plan Benjamin Sesko swap deal
Manchester United matched Newcastle's £74m bid for RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko - and Rasmus Hojlund could head the other way in bad news for Alexander Isak and Liverpool Alexander Isak was in limbo on Tuesday night - with the wantaway Newcastle striker fearing that Benjamin Sesko could scupper his dream move to Liverpool. With Manchester United matching the Magpies' £74m bid for RB Leipzig hitman Sesko, the Slovenian now has to decide which club he will join But if he chooses United ahead of Newcastle, then Isak could find himself in no-man's land with the new season just 10 days away. And that scenario is looking increasingly likely with the Bundesliga side keen on taking United misfit Rasmus Hojlund in the deal. Toon officials have made it clear to the Swede that they will only sell him if Liverpool match their valuation AND they have a replacement lined up. Liverpool have so far lodged an initial bid of £110m plus add-ons, well short of the Toon's valuation. And they won't be back in until Newcastle have brought in a replacement for their prize asset. For their part, Newcastle want the situation resolved as quickly as possible. They had hoped that United's delay in bidding for Sesko would leave them firmly in the driving seat but now both clubs had made similar offers to Leipzig leaving the final decision firmly in Sesko's court. The player trained indoors away from his team-mates, with his departure imminent. Various sources in Germany claim he favours a move to Old Trafford despite a lack of European football next season. Newcastle, however, won't give up knowing they can't fail to land yet another of their top transfer targets having already missed out on Bryan Mbeumo, Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Hugo Ekitike and Dean Huijsen. And while no-one inside the club will admit it, they would rather have Sesko leading their attack than a disgruntled Isak, who would rather be wearing the red shirt of Liverpool. The Magpies remain confident of signing forward Yoane Wissa despite their two offers so far falling well short of the price tag Brentford have slapped on him. And they have stepped up their bid to land AC Milan's 23-year-old centre half Malick Thiaw.

'Quite a gamble' but Man Utd 'should take a risk' - fans on Sesko bid
Following the news that Manchester United had submitted a bid to RB Leipzig for Benjamin Sesko, we asked for your views on a possible deal for the are some of your comments:Charles: Sesko is a player with huge potential and Manchester United should take a risk on him because there are no better, affordable, young and established strikers out there. Rasmus Hojlund should be either sold or sent on loan to ease the deal Could be quite a gamble having not played in the Premier League. If he is given a good enough ball supply then he will score, but you could say that about any half-decent striker. I think the money should be spent on trying to improve the defensive Sesko is a top striker in the same mould as Alexander Isak - height, strength and skill that would fit with Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo to interlink for attacks on goal. An exciting player who has age on his side to turn out to be the world-class player he could If we are to be serious moving forward then we need top-class players like Sesko. If we want them, we've got to pay the going rate. As long as our legendary scouting network have done their jobs properly, then I'm good with it. That's a big if, however, looking back at previous purchases in the recent Are we doing another expensive buy like we did with Hojlund? Is Sesko going to be the game-solver? I do think he will bring something different to the attack and compliment Mbeumo and Cunha. But, personally, I think we should target a midfielder before a striker. It's all good to have strikers but when the midfield is empty we wont be scoring much. But still, it will be an exciting signing after a busy transfer Sesko is a young player who is over-priced. The Premier League is difficult and he would need to adapt to it. It would be a bit hard for him, especially the first season. I would prefer Ollie Watkins because he is used to the Premier League and Would be a great signing but we don't want to get into a bidding war. £74m is up for news alerts on your Premier League team
