Child killer Ian Huntley's cruel football shirt taunt inside prison
Ian Huntley is serving a life sentence for the murder of school girls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, both 10.
The school caretaker was placed behind bars for at least 40 years in 2003 after the girls went missing the previous year.
The last picture of Holy and Jessica showed them both wearing David Beckham's famous No 7 shirt which he donned while playing for the Red Devils.
A source told the Sun that Huntley had purchased a plain red shirt from Sports Direct which he has fashioned to a 'as close to Man U top as he can'.
Inmates are prohibited from wearing football shirts in order to avoid conflict with others.
'Everyone thinks he is doing it to satisfy his own sick mind, rather than for football reasons', the source clarified.
They said that Huntley unveiled the top as the weather warmed up this year and now is seen wearing in on the way to healthcare or the gym.
Huntley's red shirt had attracted a complaint from a fellow inmate in May, they added.
Due to his 'high risk', the former caretaker is allegedly escorted everywhere by prison guards and had been attacked while in prison.
But this had simply made the murdered 'brazen' and 'cocky', the source said.
While prison officers are reported to have felt uncomfortable about the United-esque shirt, they are powerless to remove it as it doesn't strictly breach the rules.
Former cabinet minister Robert Jenrick said: 'This disgusting murderer shouldn't be swanning around jail in a shirt designed to insult the memory of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman.
'It should be ripped off his back by prison officers.
'The family of those two poor girls are entitled to know that Huntley isn't getting any special treatment in jail, and that his life is as miserable as it can be made to be.'
On August 4, Holly and Jessica were lured by Huntley into his home after they left a barbecue to buy sweets.
Their bodies were found, hours after Huntley and his then girlfriend, teaching assistant Maxine Carr were arrested, on August 17 2002.
Carr was sentenced to three years in prison for perverting the course of justice after she provided a false alibi to her then-boyfriend, and ended up serving two years.

Iraqi-British national sanctioned for ‘smuggling oil to fund Iran'
An Iraqi-British national has been sanctioned for allegedly smuggling oil to help fund the Iranian regime, US officials said. Salim Ahmed Said is accused of running a billion-dollar smuggling operation via a network of companies trading with Tehran. According to the US treasury, he forged documents and bribed officials in order to disguise the source of the oil, which was then sold to Western buyers via either Iraq or the United Arab Emirates, for at least five years. Some of the profits are alleged to have been sent to Iran to bankroll the activities of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, proscribed by the US as a terrorist group. Said's companies and vessels were allegedly used to blend Iranian and Iraqi oil – one of several 'obfuscation techniques' to launder the supplies so they could be sold on the legitimate market and allow Tehran to evade sanctions. He is also accused of spending millions of dollars bribing members of the Iraqi government in exchange for forged certificates stating the oil originated from Iraq. In addition to owning a UAE-based oil tanker company, with which he is said to have avoided a formal connection, Said allegedly owns two companies based in Britain: The Willett Hotel Limited and Robinbest Limited. 'As President Trump has made clear, Iran's behaviour has left it decimated. While it has had every opportunity to choose peace, its leaders have chosen extremism,' said Scott Bessent, the US treasury secretary. '[We] will continue to target Tehran's revenue sources and intensify economic pressure to disrupt the regime's access to the financial resources that fuel its destabilising activities.' The treasury has also sanctioned several vessels said to have been used in the covert delivery of Iranian oil in a bid to intensify pressure on Iran's 'shadow fleet'.
