Love Island sensation Sammy Root has spilled the beans on what it's like to be the villa's bombshell.
Sammy, who clinched the ITV title in 2023 and bagged £50,000 with Jess Harding, made his entrance as a bombshell in the first week, charming both Jess and the viewers at home.
ITV enthusiasts might remember Sammy's return in Love Island: All Stars earlier this year. Although he didn't win this time around, he struck up a romance with Elma Pazar, whom he later told OK! was "the loveliest girl ever."
Now, Sammy has let slip a significant hint he received prior to entering the villa. In an exclusive chat with OK!'s Screen Time team, he divulged that latecomers to the show fly out to Majorca at the beginning but are kept in separate villas until it's their turn to join.

"Both times I flew out right at the beginning and you're just chilling in a holding villa until you're called up," he disclosed. Yet, they remain unaware of the other contestants and "don't have a clue who's going to be in there."

While they're largely kept in suspense about the islanders' antics, bombshells do occasionally get a sneak peek at the unfolding drama. Sammy confessed: "Sometimes they'll offer you to watch an episode, so you can decide who you're leaning towards."
During his second appearance on the series, Sammy took up the offer, although it didn't influence his choice of partner.

Discussing why he wasn't swayed by the TV show, he remarked: "I didn't want to choose someone based on what I'd seen on Love Island because there's so much you don't actually see. So I would have rather gone in and decided for myself based on meeting people."
Moreover, the celebrity went on to admit his prior interest in his now-girlfriend, stating: "Also, I already knew that I fancied Elma, so it was quite an easy decision for me."
Despite frequent rumours suggesting they've parted ways, the couple remains united. The constant speculation about a potential split often arises from fans, at times simply because Elma shares posts without mentioning her partner.

They're not rushing into marriage, but Sammy has assured that their partnership is advancing positively.
"I think me and Elms are just in our own little world, taking things day by day," he summed up.

Benidorm star confesses they are 'close to living in a cardboard box' seven years after the ITV comedy show ended
Benidorm star Crissy Rock has confessed she now lives like a 'nomad' and could find herself in a 'cardboard box' seven years after the ITV show ended. The comedian, 66, who played hotel manageress Janey York in the series, explained that her career and upcoming UK tour has resulted in sleeping 'couch to couch' while keeping her possessions in the boot of her car. As well as starring in Benidorm, Crissy won numerous awards for her role in 1994 movie Ladybird, Ladybird before going on to appear on I'm A Celeb and Celebrity Come Dine With Me and Celebrity Masterchef. She told The Express: 'Me, I'm like a nomad. I live from place to place to place. My wardrobe is just the boot of my car. If it wasn't for my friend, I would be living in a hostel or a cardboard box'. 'When I'm in Liverpool, I go and see her and I have family and that so I just sort of move around from couch to couch.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Benidorm star Crissy Rock, 66, has confessed she now lives like a 'nomad' and could find herself in a 'cardboard box' seven years after the ITV show ended Explaining the reasons behind her new lifestyle, she told the publication it was due to her work that can take her around the country at a moments notice. Crissy appeared as Solana Hotel boss Janey for the show's first four seasons, before retuning sporadically until her final exit during season seven. The comedy continued for another three years before being axed in May 2018. Asked if she would be keen to see the comedy make a return, Crissy said: 'I've heard that the show could come back and I think that it would be brilliant if they did bring it back. But I can't say much, but I would love it to happen'. Just two months after its cancellation was confirmed, the show won Best cCmedy at TV Choice Awards - with its creator Derren Litten calling out the decision in his acceptance speech at the time. Now its been reported it could be making a comeback, with The Sun claiming earlier this year that TV bosses are in talks to reboot the show. A TV insider told the publication: 'Benidorm was adored by millions when it was suddenly cancelled. Fans will be thrilled to hear ITV wants to bring it back. 'An 11th series hasn't been commissioned yet, but there's major excitement building as early talks begin. 'Producers have started to reach out to the show's stars and are hopeful a decision can be made later this year.' She said: 'Me, I'm like a nomad. I live from place to place to place. My wardrobe is just the boot of my car. If it wasn't for my friend, I would be living in a hostel or a cardboard box' Explaining the reasons behind her new lifestyle, she told the publication it was all due to her work that can take her around the country at a moments notice As well as starring in Benidorm, Crissy won numerous awards for her role in 1994 movie Ladybird, Ladybird before going on to appear on I'm A Celeb in 2011 (pictured) Fans were ecstatic as the news circulated online, writing: 'Sincerely hope this is true!! Dearly missed show!'; 'Feel like I'm dreaming. Really hope they make this happen,'; 'Omg yay I hope they all come back!!'; 'Ur 5 days late for april fools... or its actually real?!?! Finally ITV bringing back a INCREDIBLE Show,'; 'Omg! I'm absolutely buzzing with excitement! This is the best news ever! I really hope the Garvey's come back!' 'I hope so cause that would be the best birthday present every.' The ITV Brits abroad sitcom - which followed a group of holidaymakers in the Spanish resort and their hilarious escapades - came to an end in May 2018 after 11 years, and fans have been begging for more ever since. In 2023, show creator Derren teased a return of the beloved series as he announced that he was returning back to writing for 'both television and theatre'. He said: 'I have had clear, recent indications that certain TV channels are interested in my decision and I hope you will be watching the fruits of my labour in time to come.' Then, in March 2025 he sparked hope of its comeback once again when a fan asked on X: '@DerrenLitten @ITV Another series of Benidorm on the cards?' and he cryptically replied: 'Who knows...' Announcing the news on social media that it had been axed in 2018, Derren said: 'Crazy to think Wednesday will be the last episode of Benidorm! 'I created the series over 11 years ago, wrote it, guest starred in it and ended up directing it. It's difficult to think what else there is to do! Thank you for watching!'
